I think traditionally the last week is always shit. They need to have a dumping every night until they have 3 couples left. Then the final. None of this pissing about with the utter boring crap that was tonight's programme.

They will still do the proper final dates, usually when it’s the last 4 couples so probably one couple will leave tomorrow or Sunday and then final dates will be shown on Mondays final

Just watched last nights. What a boring episode. This season has been the worst

Just caught up on last nights episode and wish I hadn't bothered. So boring and staged. Ended up fast forwarding through most of the 'I can't believe I found you' and 'I can't wait to see if this works on the outside' kind of chat they always have. Proper borefest. Only date I didn't fast forward was Jess and Ayo. Might be an unpopular opinion but I actually really love these two together. When Jess said to Ayo 'what have you got there a ring?' Girl is so funny. Then calling Ayo her husband as he made it exclusive. His face was a picture. But LI needs to think of new ideas to spice up final week because this is dull.

Poor Mimi having to endure waffles again ! Cieran once again coming out as the only one with an ounce of intelligence and insight .

It was funny when Nicole thought Cieran was going to propose. Reaching into his pocket all dramatically and her pretending not to look at what he was doing. She pulled it back quite nicely though with her utter delight at the €15 necklace. Hilarious.
Joey is just plain nasty. Whenever he is pulled up on something he never just apologises, he ALWAYS comes back with a but you done this to me or someone else done that to me so I’m being picked on too. He’s like a child. A spoilt one.
I like Jess. When she’s not getting frustrated and upset about the Mimi disaster she is lighthearted and fun. Much more open and happy than any other girl in there. Still can’t figure Ayo out though.

Completely agree. I’m not Mimi’s biggest fan either, but the relentless goading from Joey & Sean has made me feel sorry for her.
Mimi & Josh shouldn’t have to continually put up with this. I think the fact she snapped the other day shows just how much it upsets her as she seems like a very non confrontational person, Joey in particular must’ve really pushed her buttons and the producers probably haven’t even shown everything Joey has said.

To me Joey’s apology last night didn’t seem very sincere, but Josh has accepted it, hopefully they can all move on, but Joey, Sean and by association & blind defence Matilda & Jessy have ruined their reputations in my opinion.

I love Ciaran and want him to win, but to be fair to the others of course he’d have more insight into his girlfriend and have the most romantic date considering he has been coupled up with Nicole for almost 2 months, compared to say Josh who has been coupled with Mimi only for a couple of weeks. Can’t really compare their dates as they’re all different stages of their relationship.

Love Jess saying she had a husband now 😂 that’s something I used to say when I was younger while dating this commitment-phobe 😂it was just funny seeing his face.

Where do they go once evicted? Surely they should get showered and dressed in the villa but obviously they take them somewhere else?

Have any of you seen the drama unREAL? It follows a production team that engineer events in a Love Island type bachelor US dating show, and it’s really come to mind for me this series of LI.

So much isn’t sitting right and feels staged in their discussions. No way was that convo between Joey and Josh anything other than engineered and controlled. They’d both been told what to do and how to behave.

Which begs the question what is the point in watching it?

The way Joey brings up secret mission only when he knows for sure the cameras are on him eg in games etc is another red flag. Reality TV my arse!

Casting Joey was a big mistake this year, former islanders are bad enough but all this did was make this season the Joey Show, they would have been as well renaming it.

Apart from him being a complete prat he is also surely too old - I don’t believe any of his couplings were genuine.

The thing is, if it wasn’t Joey it would be someone else. The Love Island formula is that there is always a villain and normally that person acts totally different after the show.
