So I obviously haven’t seen it yet.

I think the slow tempo of the story, coupled with releasing a new season every two years is making this difficult to follow, which is a shame.

I have fallen down quite a large hole of Ameond fanfic......

Really disappointed with this season. Super slow burner then season ends just as it’s about to get good! 😔

I think it's a problem with so many series now. 2/3 years wait for 8 or 10 episodes if you're lucky. Just a few years ago it was more like 20 episodes every year. I know some will say the quality suffers but I don't think so, sopranos, the wire, 24, supernatural, loads of long running series that managed a higher output.

This season has been so up and down, DH and I were just talking about the fact there are good characters but they don't seem to bounce off each other in the way characters in GOT managed (tyrion and bronn, little finger and Varys etc). I also wanted to see more of the dragons!

Agreed, way too much filler, and Matt Smith was wasted all season with absolute bollocks.

Yes it was an anti climax but I still think it’s the best tv show I’m watching at the moment so feel I can’t moan too much.

I just think a lot was left unresolved (not he main plot but lots of little subplots) which I will not remember in 2026! Will need a refresher on the names also...

I would have loved if they filmed back to back so we had a much shorter gap but I guess budget constraints. I also hate how they rushed GOT so will take the slowness!

I haven't read the book but it doesn't seem there's enough for a third series, just another episode with a big fight 🤔

I feel like if this was the case everyone would be at it. I think you need to be a greenseer or have magic involved. Alys was clearly doing something witchy to Daemon to make him see shit.

What sticks in my memory is that when the moment is ripe the tree reveals things to person at the crossroads. Happened to the crippled Stark child, didn't it?

I don’t know what everyone’s complaining about, I thought it was great. Especially the flash forward tying in Dany and making the prophecy the reason Daemon got back into line. Loved the way that vision started with an antlered man- Robert Baratheon wore antlers on his helmet when he killed Rhaegar and ended the Targaryen line (almost).
