Second episode was a bit slow.

I loved Rhaenyra in this episode. I feel the actress has really got to grips with the character and I was drawn in for the whole episode.

Found episode two a bit slow.

Will there be a season 3? They mention Harrenhal very often and it is a bit too early.

I also found it slow. Also, maybe controversially, I quite like the king 😂

I think we are supposed to like him more than last season so that we can empathise with the greens. He isn't a sadist it seems although he just isn't very bright. Hanging all the rat catchers was because he was genuinely devastated about his son's murder.

I liked the slower pace & did have some sympathy for the King. I didn’t expect Aeomond (?) to shown remorse for killing J.

I also liked green Aegon.
My absolute favourite is Ironrod on the Green Council. The sarky one. "An apology for her dead son?"

I feel like they haven't developed the characters as much as GoT, and most of them are dull or unlikable. There is no Arya, Bronn, the Hound, Tyrion or Sansa to root for. The character with most depth is Otto Hightower.. Though I am still watching!

I really feel sorry for Alicent and Rhaenyra, trapped between all these macho men who can't control themselves.

The reviews I’ve read feel the same as you, @LobeliaBaggins - no characters to really care about.

I liked ep 2 better than last week; it actually felt zippier to me, and I prefer Rhaenyra‘s household. The White Worm is such a disconcertingly contemporary character - I hope she hasn’t been written out.

It’s intriguing to be gradually introduced to the seafaring brothers and the weapons maker and his family. But I’m bored with Otto Hightower; it was high time for a new story there.

I like Rhaenyra‘s & feel her character is developed. I think it’s hard to compare to GOT as that was so much longer.

The thing that keeps bringing me back is how beautifully composed some of the frames are. The petals falling on Heleanq’s face in a veil for example, or the close ups sequences of Rhaenyra this week.

I’m not pleased with the ability to stream, though. Scarcely ever in my life wanted to sit and watch TV drama from the moment I wake up. Now I actively have to resist temptation until I’ve done enough proper day stuff.

Meeee cannot wait, I have it recorded but have to wait until this evening to watch it

I'm currently stuck watching Peppa Pig with my toddler & have to wait until after she's in bed. I just know I'll feel more satisfied & enjoy it more that way.

We are enjoying it. Although every time Phil Daniels is on screen DH chants ‘Parklife’ 😀
