Nope, he's currently 17 (well, at the time of filming) and she's 26.

Again, whether naive or ND or neither, it's a huge huge age gap at that stage of life.

i have a 19yo and wouldn't be ok with him flying out to meet a 28yo woman.

And again, if you flip it so it was a 15yo schoolgirl and a 24yo man - he calls it off due to her age, but CAN'T KEEP AWAY from her, and declares that she's the one and they need to get married... At best, it's completely yuck.

Ch4 Nevermets on fb, Amie commenting non stop claiming Sarah took her own life on January, yet Sarah has posted a photo last month. The profile is clearly fake and most likely some troll man claiming to be her best friend.

It’s really exploitative programming and they all seem quite vulnerable.

The 17 year old has been ‘seeing’ a 26 year old online for 18months. Quite surprised any film company would go near an age imbalance like that. He seems like a nice lad, she was very clingy and pushing marriage/commitment. Very big red flags.

The other relationships were also largely imbalanced or based on vulnerabilities plus other more subtle red flags.

Oh god I don't know how I feel about the young Scottish girl and the older American guy...

The clip of them smooching was horrible. When she was a toddler, he was pushing 30. I just find huge age gaps revolting.

@SloaneStreetVandal and she is really 'young' in her whole mannerisms too. It's a bit creepy!

I just watched episode 4 and was really happy to see Dumebi give Mazi the heave-ho. I think she maybe felt she had to play along for the week, since C4 had paid for it, but it seems she made up her mind after he was late the first day.

Veena didn't get a visitor visa - good. My hope for Jay is that having got a bit of confidence he'll find someone his own age to date at college.

I found the Sarah/Jgoy bath really nauseating, but it was interesting at the end he was sobbing in the taxi when she left, but she seemed a lot less bothered/invested and said she didn't want to continue in a LDR with him if it wasn't going to go anywhere. I doubt he'll get a visitor visa, since he's been refused before.

Chad seems immature and creepy - why does he want a woman 25 years his junior? Yuk.

And then Matt and Maria. Oh dear! Not sure where to start with that one!

I find it interesting (and annoying) that channel four didn’t select any normal relationships. All of these so far have imbalances due to age or financial situations.

The Chad and Leah one is just ridiculous. Two months and he’s talking about moving his child to the U.K.? He needs to get a grip. I think she’s also stringing him along so she can be on TV - she’s not remotely serious about it when she’s met someone else.

The Matt and Maria one seems more genuine but her family situation is incredibly difficult and I wonder how much that will play into things.

I've just watched episode 4. I hope it works for Matt and Maria but yes tricky family situation for her.
