Just watched episode 6. Chad and Leah was just bloody weird. I think he looked his age. I found he made me v uncomfortable. Taking his 16 year old along on the premise of them moving there after a bit of a chat online and a fleeting visit was fucked up. Leah literally having a bare home and fridge, not even a few groceries to welcome them. I’m glad she put him out of his misery as I think he would have taken any scraps of attention. I don’t think he seemed particularly wealthy and I wonder if he wasn’t quite as much of a prospect IRL.
Matt and his wife did seem very sweet, I’m glad they seemed so happy.
I think they trimmed Veena and Jay after reading so many comments around how it was not a scenario most agreed with. Maybe for both of their sakes they edited it down.

What I wanna know is, the show was filmed In 2022 and all put together and finished in 2023 then shown in 2024. At the end of episode 6 it says Maria is living in the uk 🇬🇧 How did they predict Maria would get a spouse visa in 2023! Apparently Matt confirmed her visa was only approved in 2024 and she only arrived on 12th June 2024. All seems a bit odd and definitely something fishing going on. I saw in the paper an interview with Matt, saying he didn’t deserve to be on the show because apparently him and Maria met once before the filming, a close friend of Matt said he was paid off and told to keep quiet about everything. Channel 4 helped Maria gain access to the UK just so they could make some money from a stupid TV show, This is absolutely sickening and she should have her visa taken away. She needs reporting, to the FCDO. I bet all the other couples never got any help!!! instead channel 4 took the piss outta them as they were all vulnerable people involved suffering with health issues.

@ladybirdsanchez Jgoy and Sarah have only been together since 2021. Says that on her Facebook and apparently she’s been over to Philippines in 2022, 2023 and is due to fly back this year 2024. I think a lot of people don’t realise how much that show was fake. It was very edited. Channel 4 confirmed that people love drama on them reality shows. Have you seen the sun newspaper online. Wow the stuff that Matt confessed, him and Maria had already met before the show, he was paid off to keep quiet, channel 4 paid for the wedding and helped Maria gain access to the UK.

All they did was add an update to the program! Updates can be added to TV shows as late as the day before air - it happens all the time.

And I don't believe for a moment C4 were able to flex any visa clout!
Matt and Maria were incredibly determined to be together, neither had any doubts, which is why they got married and are now living together in the UK. Maria was a hard worker too, she'll make a contribution here - I've no doubt she'll work and pay her way here.
Their relationship was a complete contrast to Jgoy and his partner (can't remember her name). Neither of those two had a penny to rub together, and their relationship just wasn't/isn't anywhere near strong enough to get things over the line - Jgoy will never get to the UK.

Why is there an interview with Matt in the sun news, Matt confesses that him and Maria met before the filming, the show was filmed in 2022 she only arrived on the 12 June 2024, I’m not buying it. I think something dodgy is going on. Also why was Maria’s visit visa refused, then she was in Warrington outside the football stadium in 2023. Her visa was refused so was Veena’s and Jgoys. Why did she have special treatment to be allowed in the country and not them 2.

Why did she wear those minging gym shorts all the time?

Did neither of them discuss the trip to Scotland before he flew? Him and his dd were so excited to see Scotland and Leah couldn’t be arsed to even get any food in or something for Bailee to sleep on!!

Why was he so besotted with her when it’s clear from the programme how vacant she was. The irritation she demonstrated at the Loch hotel was clear evidence they weren’t suited so what in earth did they video chat about?

What precipitated the decision for his dd fly home after only a couple of days?

I’d love to have questioned him more about why he was so demonstrably upset? Leah was clearly not interested or compatible. She treated his dd with complete rudeness (giving her an empty room to sleep on the floor) - what exactly was the big attraction?

Falling in love has been shown to make us think and act a little (or a lot) crazy. Chad had been through a divorce and clearly was looking for his happy ever after and got carried away. They'd only known each other a few months. It's highly likely he would have realised sooner or later that he was seeing what he wanted to see and not what was really there.

Leah must have rented that flat just for the show. There was literally no belongings in it other than a duvet. Channel 4 must think we are mugs.

Because they got married, which changes the visa situation. Their marriage seems genuine and they appear to be a couple in love. No “investigation” needed.

The most pointless of the situations shown was Chad and Leah. Leah seems to have used the dating app to look for an older man specifically, not because she’s particularly into older men but because she sees them as being most likely to be financially comfortable and able to support her. She’s the most emotionally immature out of everyone on the show, in my opinion, but at least she seemed to realise that she wasn’t remotely ready for a committed relationship.

I felt for Ballie. Imagine your dad dragging you across continents for a shag love interest. Only to sleep on the floor in an empty house, made feel completely unwelcome and then they go off on a luxury lochs tour. Did she fly home or did they leave her behind in the flat, I missed that detail.

They said she had to go home, amd so it gave them the chance to go to the hotel

I can only assume getting herself on TV ,they had only Been chatting a couple of months before the flew out to meet him and she was also seeing another man ,so it was clearly no big attraction on her part
I'm surprised her sister went along with it though, she seemed to gave her head screwed on plus she was more Chad's age.

He mentioned he had his daughter in the week, so maybe there’s a reason she’s not with her mother more often, ie it was logical to bring her. He also said she wants to travel and see Europe, so maybe that’s how he justified it.

I think he seemed so besotted with her, partly coz they’d had lots of steamy conversations beforehand and from the looks of it, that wasn’t exactly on tap (probably not helped by being cockblocked by his daughter and Tesco meal deals).

it occurred to me that she’d rented the flat for the show, but even if that’s the case, why wouldn’t you just get an air bnb so it’s at least furnished?

Poor girl didn't see much of Europe just a tiny part of Glasgow ,she said whe wanted to go to University in the UK her visit can't have given her much of insight of life in the UK.

I'm watching the final episode and my goodness, I'm cringing at Chad and Leah! When Chad said "I've missed you" and she eventually replied whilst looking into the camera awkwardly.

Chad and Bailey really didn't look happy and I don't blame them. Leah has made zero effort, trying to pass it off as "oh well if I want to lounge out on the floor I can coz I have all this space". I'd understand if she couldn't afford furniture, but she was driving a Mercedes when she picked him up, yes car may have been borrowed, but surely she could have borrowed £40 to put some food in the fridge?!

She could have even done a freecycle hunt before they arrived for free furniture to kit out the flat.

Yeah but she wanted him to pay for new
