Do the chefs of Chef's table have a vote here?

That sounds like my worst nightmare. I cannot eat sweetcorn.

Maybe as I've missed a lot of this series and so not feeling invested. But feel like such a lovely trip, with such a lovey chef and amazing ingredients was wasted on this group.

Yes, it's not been the most engaging of series.

Surprised Michel wants to come back to this franchise after being ditched.

murasaki · 21/05/2024 20:02

Love Mon and Michel.

littlbrowndog · 21/05/2024 20:04

Wow one of last ever services

EsmaCannonball · 21/05/2024 20:04

Wonder why he is closing down?

Halsall · 21/05/2024 20:04

Would Michel have let them cook there if Le Gavroche hadn’t been closing?

littlbrowndog · 21/05/2024 20:05

Says he wants more time with family and other businesses

fourquenelles · 21/05/2024 20:06

Scallop mousse - something I never thought I would need but my goodness that looks amazing.

Would love to try that sounds great incredible!

fourquenelles · 21/05/2024 20:08

Yep more than happy with the second course too.

Seems a shame his father and uncle built up such a legacy only for him to call it a day not long after they both died.

Sunbird24 · 21/05/2024 20:09

Third course is fab too - not a mushroom in sight!

littlbrowndog · 21/05/2024 20:09

Maybe all the years of keeping a star. He’s kinda at the age to find a different way of life

Even the most established places have been having a hell of a time in the last few years but yes it's sad!

littlbrowndog · 21/05/2024 20:10

2 stars

EsmaCannonball · 21/05/2024 20:10

Wouldn't be MasterChef without raw meat, even when cooked by a Michelin-starred chef.

Halsall · 21/05/2024 20:11

There’s a series on one of the food channels with Michel cooking lovely French food at his lovely French house in the country. It’s a very comforting watch.

Pure speculation but maybe he hasn't anyone to pass the legacy on to - I see he has a daughter perhaps she has other aspirations. Sad but sometimes family lines come to a stop. I could be talking out of my bum - not for the first or I expect the last time!

Evening mes petites pois. This is more like it. Proper food. Love Michel, seems such a sweetie, if you know any different please don’t burst my bubble.

Yes, I've heard of several chefs who've been relieved to lose their Michelin-starred status.

jay55 · 21/05/2024 20:13

I can see him not wanting to carry on as long as his dad. Especially with costs spiralling and manners dropping Grin

Sunbird24 · 21/05/2024 20:13

Oops, Abi over-creamed it

Targettargets · 21/05/2024 20:13

A newspaper article says he’s opening the restaurant and cruise ships.

I did any of these courses, nice normal things recognised as food, not soil, spheres or shards. Also reasonable potions.

littlbrowndog · 21/05/2024 20:14

Or maybe he wants to stop at the top. It must have been such hard work in the last few years. I really respect him. All these years at the top of his game

EsmaCannonball · 21/05/2024 20:14

Just imagine it's a bolshy hamster, Brin.
