Once again Channel 4 brings us a car crash scientific experiment. Singletons are matched with two potential partners - one that they would want and one that the producers science judges they need. After 48 hours of meeting, they have to move in together.
There appears to be some kind of MAFS-esque dinner party involved too.

I only watched Episodes 1 & 2 and the final so have no idea who was who.
I'm not a Love Island, Made in Chelsea, The Only Way is Essex reality tv fan - don't watch them so I found it fascinating - great figures, teeth, hair, tans, clothes etc.
Will I watch Series 2 ?

Just watched the reunion.

Mike turned out to be a nasty guy, so I think Kelly had a lucky escape.

They were the only people I was interested in. The other contestants were childish and boring.

Won't be watching the next series.

OOoh I will watch that now. I had a feeling when we saw his face when the second lady dumped him initially - he literally could NOT believe it, looked around as if he was going to shout and stomp off. She only just stopped him IMO. There was a flash there.

I think he liked Kelly a lot but was blown away by Danielle and he had to decide for himself. He probably chose right for him but it went no where, and in the long run when he does finally settle down, it may well be someone like Kelly!

Only because of the way he was reacting to the 2 women when they were all on the sofa in the reunion episode.

He just seemed petulent to me and kissing both girls was wrong. If he really liked both of them, then he should have shown them some respect and kissed neither.

IMHO - I think he was painted as the bad guy but he genuinely liked them both. Others were able not to get involved as they didn't even like, let alone fancy their matches!

Kelly was turning into a bit of a bunny boiler on the couch there.
Mike was doing his best not to be rude as she seemed a little distorted in her view of reality or what was reasonable within the format of the tv show she actually signed up for. It looked like he was prepared to let her have the last word to let her save some face.

Yeah Kelly didn't do herself any favours but she was put in most 40+ women's worst nightmare. She was so so happy when they matched them and I really think they would have been happy if they'd left them alone. It was so obvious the man would go for the younger model, they usually do, and it really triggered her. She did say she has been cheated on every time and lied to. I am really not amazed she became defensive, upset and hostile. The show literally made her re-live her worst nightmare after showing her what "she could have won!" if only she were younger. She's probably thinking she will never have kids now 😞

Yes it was unfair of the show what they did to Kelly. I hope she is ok.

I think she doesn't want to be seen as the bad guy. I think she told him she loved him and as PP said I think she changes depending on who she is with. She has fun with the one she is with but he was the steady type she might want to settle with later (if you feel machiavellian). She doesn't want to hurt either of them and wants them both to want her.

Even though he's only known for being on another dating show!

I agree the Mike Kelly Danielle triangle was the only believable situation, because of their ages. I'm supposing they didn't know about the triangle beforehand, and Mike and Kelly were on the same page from the start. I think Mike was mature enough to want to make the right choice as things went. Unfortunately his biological clock isn't ticking as loudly as Kelly's for obvious reasons and to commit to her in such a short space of time in pressurised environment is not the way to behave as a mature person in an experiment and with someone fragile. I think without the 'help' of the programme they may have worked, but now nobody knows...and that's sad for Kelly.

The Zaralena comment about not sleeping with just anyone when she'd mentioned about going to sex parties was a bit...???

Dan is an odious little prick who has no idea who he is or what he wants. Also very questionable regarding the last show he was on. Perma victim mentality which is my pet hate in men.

The other guy she ended up with didn't know about that, did he? Matt was very keen to tell everyone how frequent the calls were.

I'm not sure when the Oz one officially starts, but the 1st episode came on straight after if finished streaming the UK Reunion episode.

I really enjoyed this show although probably wouldn't bother with a second series as, like you say, once people know the twist it's spoiled and becomes more about playing a game.

I'm sorry, but Kelly should not have been on the show. Far too needy and emotional. Yes, biological clock blah blah blah but you seriously cannot be that unstable about someone you've known for a week and think they owe you something. I'd run a mile if I were Mike.

Danica and Amy were awful.

Dan was dreadful. Self-absorbed with a big victim-mentality but I did think the girls were a bit cruel to him.

Started yesterday on E4; probably similar showing pattern to the uk one-ie T/W/Th for three weeks.

Agreed about Kelly . She slept with him more or less straight away , and at the reunion practically wore a wedding dress and said Mike had said he wanted to meet her family. She got way invested too quick To be fair he played them both , he just played the game . I think he picked the other lady at the end and was hoping to bed her too . His basketball career has ended and to me it was obvious he was looking for a media career not love .
