Blondeshavemorefun · 16/04/2024 18:49

On for 6w on Sunday at 9pm

This thread is tv paced !!!!

This brand-new six-part thriller, starring Jing Lusi and Richard Armitage, promises nerve-wracking plot twists, heart-stopping performances, and a compelling narrative that spans continents. Set to premiere on ITV1 and ITVX on the 21st of April, here's why Red Eye should be at the top of your must-watch list...

Red Eye kicks off with an adrenaline-fuelled opening that sets the tone for the rest of the series. Dr. Matthew Nolan (Richard Armitage), after a near-death experience in Beijing, finds himself entangled in a web of accusations upon his return to London.

Arrested for a murder he insists he didn't commit, Nolan's life spirals into chaos.

The plot thickens when DC Hana Li (Jing Lusi), tasked with escorting Nolan back to China, discovers a murder on their flight, unraveling a series of events that suggest a deeper, more sinister plot at play.

One of Red Eye's most compelling features is its unpredictability. With a storyline that introduces twist after twist, viewers are kept on the edge of their seats, guessing what could possibly happen next.

Each episode peels back layers of intrigue, revealing geopolitical tensions and sinister forces that suggest no one can be trusted.

The series boasts an array of famous faces, delivering strong performances that bring depth and complexity to their roles.

Jing Lusi's portrayal of DC Hana Li is both compelling and nuanced, presenting a character whose determination and grit are matched only by the mysteries she faces.

Richard Armitage's Dr. Matthew Nolan is equally captivating, offering a glimpse into the psyche of a man fighting to clear his name while navigating a labyrinth of lies and deception.

Red Eye is both pacy and frenetic, mirroring the urgency and danger that the characters face, and this rapid tempo ensures that there's never a dull moment, with each episode drawing the viewer deeper into the unfolding conspiracy.

Helping to further bolster the series are its high production values and striking visuals – the international setting of the series, spanning from the bustling streets of Beijing to the imposing presence of London's Heathrow Airport, provides a rich backdrop for the narrative.

So he actually staples his skin together!! 🙈 😯

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 05/05/2024 21:58

You can't get to the hold from the cabin 🤦‍♀️ and there's absolutely not that much space where all the electronics are.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2024 22:05

More and more complex

Amber dead - tho we kinda guessed that last week due to whoever was hiding

Making 4 bodies dead now - couple - stranger and dog

How did they manage to be tortured and fingers broken in a matter of minutes

Guessing Kate is now dead as can’t be found

Captain def didn’t want them to search luggage

Where did the air Marshall disappear to and
Why go down there alone ?

Better to be in pairs surely ?

Least hana finally beleives Mathew

We know that shen gave something to maybe all 4 of the doctors

Least they know shen didn’t die in the car crash so must reliese Matthew is innocent

Chris aka van man is likely
To be dead as well

Jess hopefully won’t be shot but likely to be in trouble as fun behind his back

I’m loving this

Getting a bit creepy now

burnoutbabe · 05/05/2024 22:40

I assume they are all spies! And he is a real doctor too. Maybe Chinese spies or British ones.

duc748 · 05/05/2024 22:48

That mobe that Matthew has that he's been trying to open, how did he come by it, can anyone remember? When he went to the dead guy to try to open it with facial recognition (successfully?), I was wondering, did he know who it belonged to, or was he guessing?

As in it was his friends phone wasn't it

Or was it dead person no 1 whose meal he ate

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 05/05/2024 22:59

No, it was his friend's phone

duc748 · 05/05/2024 23:02

Thanks, yeah, I remember that now.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/05/2024 08:06

purpleme12 · 05/05/2024 22:59

No, it was his friend's phone

Course it was as used his face to open it

Hopefully he then went to settings to change to no Face ID/pin or it would lock again

I enjoyed this episode more than last weeks, seemed to be more happening. RA is being very shifty though

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 06/05/2024 10:47

Lesley Sharpe was so much better in last night's episode.

But I must have missed the bit where MI6 (I presume LS's character is MI6) decided RAs character was now innocent.

Also I didn't know her husband in real life is the guy from After the Flood, where have I been!

daffodilandtulip · 06/05/2024 10:49

Yeah we saw him going into settings to change the face / code
