On for 6w on Sunday at 9pm

This thread is tv paced !!!!

This brand-new six-part thriller, starring Jing Lusi and Richard Armitage, promises nerve-wracking plot twists, heart-stopping performances, and a compelling narrative that spans continents. Set to premiere on ITV1 and ITVX on the 21st of April, here's why Red Eye should be at the top of your must-watch list...

Red Eye kicks off with an adrenaline-fuelled opening that sets the tone for the rest of the series. Dr. Matthew Nolan (Richard Armitage), after a near-death experience in Beijing, finds himself entangled in a web of accusations upon his return to London.

Arrested for a murder he insists he didn't commit, Nolan's life spirals into chaos.

The plot thickens when DC Hana Li (Jing Lusi), tasked with escorting Nolan back to China, discovers a murder on their flight, unraveling a series of events that suggest a deeper, more sinister plot at play.

One of Red Eye's most compelling features is its unpredictability. With a storyline that introduces twist after twist, viewers are kept on the edge of their seats, guessing what could possibly happen next.

Each episode peels back layers of intrigue, revealing geopolitical tensions and sinister forces that suggest no one can be trusted.

The series boasts an array of famous faces, delivering strong performances that bring depth and complexity to their roles.

Jing Lusi's portrayal of DC Hana Li is both compelling and nuanced, presenting a character whose determination and grit are matched only by the mysteries she faces.

Richard Armitage's Dr. Matthew Nolan is equally captivating, offering a glimpse into the psyche of a man fighting to clear his name while navigating a labyrinth of lies and deception.

Red Eye is both pacy and frenetic, mirroring the urgency and danger that the characters face, and this rapid tempo ensures that there's never a dull moment, with each episode drawing the viewer deeper into the unfolding conspiracy.

Helping to further bolster the series are its high production values and striking visuals – the international setting of the series, spanning from the bustling streets of Beijing to the imposing presence of London's Heathrow Airport, provides a rich backdrop for the narrative.

@xSideshowAuntSallyx do we think def a man hiding

martinisforeveryone · 29/04/2024 12:31

Don’t know @Blondeshavemorefun but the obvious assumption is that it must be the awol baggage handler. Given the way the plot’s going though it’s probably the journalist sister or Madeline Delaney who’ve arranged for AI deep fake holograms of themselves to stand in while they’re absent 🤪

xSideshowAuntSallyx · 29/04/2024 14:04

@Blondeshavemorefun have no idea just assumed it was. So glad he's hiding in the front part of the hold too, at least that part is heated (I was told by an engineer the rear part isn't, so animals go in the front part too).

My wild out there guess is it's the guy who was kidnapped, as seems like anything is possible 🤷‍♀️

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2024 14:07

No his legs are fatter then the one who climbed out

I think the hider is the killer

I agree that the second dead man wouldn't have been handcuffed for long enough for such marks to show unless he was really struggling to get out of them .

And what about the man who was kidnapped and slung into the van ? We've not heard any more about the connection .

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2024 16:36

I think he may be dead @butterpuffed or would have been allowed to drive home

Be interesting if the two woman are now killed - esp as one is asleep by screw turning person

martinisforeveryone · 29/04/2024 16:57

Thinking about it. How could someone turn the screws from the wrong side? Panels are always screwed in and good side facing out. Need to look at the location again.

gocompare · 29/04/2024 19:36

I'm so sorry I havent Read the comments incase I watch it.

Is it worth a watch then?

Maybe he/she had a teeny tiny pair of pliers , like all baddies do , and wishful thinking was holding the head of the screw still 😃

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2024 20:48

Would it not be a case of lefty loosely and keep turning ?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 29/04/2024 20:48

Or maybe back to front would be righty tighty?

A Swiss Army knife would probably do the job.

RosieMilkJug · 01/05/2024 07:23

Found you!

Dr Nolan’s character confuses me. Richard Armitage is a better actor than to deliver a character who is rather feeble. I know his actions are strong but his voice is a bit lame IYSWIM. Contrived victim, that’s what I mean. I wonder if he’s bluffing and he is the baddie after all?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/05/2024 14:29

Welcome @RosieMilkJug

I think he is innocent

And the fact people are trying to kill him and his friends means he is innocent

We saw the crash. We know he was on his own

So who killed the girl and put her body in his car

OP posts:
RosieMilkJug · 01/05/2024 17:55

But is he an unreliable narrator 🤔

duc748 · 01/05/2024 18:13

He is indeed. It seems clear the girl was not in the car, but I doubt he's squeaky-clean.

JewelleryCat · 01/05/2024 18:20

We did see the crash but maybe the dead body was in the boot?

duc748 · 01/05/2024 18:32

When I'm driving bodies around, I always put them in the boot, rather than propped up in the passenger seat!

purpleme12 · 01/05/2024 20:18

😂

I've found this thread after catching a few minutes of tonight's episde. DH watches it so it was on. What happened to the cab driver at the end? Where did he go? Why was his 'for hire' sign on? I'm intrigued.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/05/2024 13:17

E3 tonight

I can't wait

Loving the anticipation

There wasn't an episode on Wednesday?
Is this from a future episode?
