I like Zack but I don't think he's popular enough. He's a real banishment risk.

WhereAreWeNow · 24/01/2024 10:11

Agree he's very likeable even though he's an abysmal judge of who's a traitor. I think his relationship with Diane is what made me really like him. They seemed to have such a great mother-son relationship and he seemed very sweet.

Same, I love their relationship, and am rather impressed that they vowed to play the game honestly (as far as I know, going by what Diane said on Uncloaked), ie no secret signals to let the other know if they had been picked as a traitor.

The bombshell moment when Diane revealed their relationship to us in the diary room, Ross' wink to camera, and now Ross' vengeance crusade have all made this series absolutely epic.

I'm not a Ross fan. He was a useless Faithful - guilty of the 100% trope on multiple occasions - and a total baby on the tunnel task. I am here for the avenge story line but hope he doesn't win.

What are people's predictions for tonight?

I think Harry may be in trouble with the convoluted shield story so am going to say Harry or Jasmine for banishment, and Zach or Jaz Sad for murder.

Agree with your prediction: Harry could be banished tonight, otherwise I think it'll be Jasmine. As for the next murder, I really haven't a clue. You would think they would want to get rid of Jaz somehow as he is such a danger, but whether they can do this without throwing suspicion on themselves I don't know. They might pick off someone neutral like Mollie to avoid suspicion. It will all depend on how the day pans out, I guess.

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2024 11:07

Just making sure I can find the thread later, haven't had a chance to read yet

CaveMum · 24/01/2024 11:21

I do think the Producers missed a trick with the “Diana Ross” (or “The Supremes” as crew had to refer to them!) storyline is that they should have been revealed to the banished/murdered on Uncloaked at the same time as the Traitor reveal. I’d like to have seen their reactions!

Tonight I think Harry could be in trouble. If he gets past the Round Table he’s pretty much a shoe in for the Final unless Andrew and Ross team up to take him down. They could still try to oust him in the Final, but depends which of the Faithful make it there.

Oh and assuming Ross doesn’t get banished tonight I think we should go with the Princess Bride riff as the next thread title!

Surely can’t call it a spoiler when he was recruited last week!

If only Harry could find out about Diane somehow he could make Ross look very untrustworthy and then the faithful would be satisfied they had found another traitor which might keep him safe for a while

Same. I just can't warm to him.

Think how in series one it panned out for Alex and her bf sorry forgotten his name -very badly

She declined the recruitment and then told the others about it; Traitors had to kill her after that.

Later recruitments aren't for good Traitors, they're for decoys. (Alex was an early recruitment and they did genuinely want her as a teammate- well, Amanda did at least!) But if the Traitors are that sure they can get you banished, you might as well join, just as long as you remember that you can't trust them. Then at least you can't be killed, and you might be able to turn their game on them.

Being recruited at a later stage isn't a compliment!

reflecting2023 · 24/01/2024 11:40

Think her bf was banished after his confession is that right?

I don't remember if it was right after but soon after. He kind of lost it and was going a bit crazy. He got a shield but got banished that day.

There was a guy in there who fancied Alex, thinking she was single. I felt bad for him.

Ross and Diane both quite serious

I don't see that at all! I think they're very irreverent and a lot of it is tongue in cheek. I want Ross to win.

If Harry stays I think he'll keep Mollie in because he believes she trusts him 100% and if they're both there at the end, she'd vote to share.

All the possible outcomes are extremely interesting at this point.

Ha, love that article - winning just 10p on Deal Or No Deal in 2010 was Paul's evil origin story.

And 'Lady' Di - goodbye England's rosé.

Too funny. 😁

QueenOfThorns · 24/01/2024 13:02

Thank you, that was very enjoyable!

Ruminate2much · 24/01/2024 13:13

OK. Overall I'm totally #team faithful. In terms of Ross vs Harry, I'm absolutely #team Ross. I like Ross, and as mentioned up thread, I found Harry's comment about 'putting Diane in her place' quite disturbing. He also threw Miles under the bus, and Miles was my favourite traitor. I also think there's something quite poetic about a former faithful avenging his mum from the inside! It's too good a twist and turn to not happen. Whether tonight or tomorrow.

I'd love Zack and Jaz to jointly win at the end. I'd have loved Charlie to be with them, but sadly she's gone.

Riverlee · 24/01/2024 13:32

I do wonder if there was more discussion about Diane’s murder than what we saw, and Harry’s comment was taken out of context. Ie. He gave more reasons for murdering her, but that one sentence made it look more evil than intended.

LindorDoubleChoc · 24/01/2024 13:44

Place marking, be back later. Don't think I've made it onto thread 5 before!

Going to read back to last Friday's episode when I've finished work

I mean I guess it was a bit tongue on cheek - putting faithfuls in their place and keeping traitor control is the aim of the game ...
How was he to know it's Ross' s mum !!!! And anyway so what?? Everyone wants to win not just Diane and Ross 😀

JaneJeffer · 24/01/2024 14:11

Don't see anything wrong with Harry's comment, it was just a figure of speech, unlike Diane actually trying to physically put Anthony in his place!!

NonPlayerCharacter · 24/01/2024 14:16

It didn't look good coming from a guy who's shown a clear preference for murdering and not recruiting women, it exposes an outlook that goes beyond "game strategy requires removing threats" and it was definitely a provocative thing to say to her son, whether you know it or not!
