Ok, I'll take the feedback Grin

Personally I felt talking about tasks and strategies used in other series and mentioning things from other sources was going against the grain, but happy to go with the majority.

I've been scrolling past stuff because I have only just discovered this so haven't watched any of the other series. So I am probably missing parts of this thread since I keep having to scroll. I'm planning to watch season 1 after this is finished.

reflecting2023 · 23/01/2024 20:59

Just joining in as I've finally caught up to current episodes during a day off sick today after doing a detour back to series one in the middle of series two haha!
Haven't watched any other series though might watch the Australian one once this finishes.
My favourite traitor is Harry and faithful is Mollie. Zac, Ross a bit annoying, Jazz quite nice and Jasmine's quite good, Andrew quite a blank sort of canvas in a way as is Evie. Favourite to win Harry !!

Darn it.

Any photos of any Aunty?

I wondered the same!

I think Evie IS DEFINITELY Tracey's daughter and I wonder if that will be revealed somehow at an interesting moment... I clocked them both being Inverness and looking very similar, but OF COURSE it's the only way that weird question in the funeral episode makes sense - and it's why they got it wrong, because Evie was throwing dirt in their eyes saying Diane!! It may turn out not to be much or it might be really juicy, but I am 100% sure it's true! (and I'm a faithful - mwah hah hah)

I completely agree with this. There was absolutely no other reason for that question, plus it was a totally different style to all the other questions that were asked.

I think Andrew has done REALLY WELL as a late recruit - the group like/ trust/ underestimate him in a perfect combo - he's not given himself away with guilty behaviour like Kieron did, and he caught on to "they're going to throw me under the bus" strategy immediately - I think he's very clever underneath his "Hulk smash" exterior. It might be enough for him to win!

Also this. Just to note - Andrew is the only contestant that I can remember having heard refer to things that happened in series 1 on camera. I have a feeling that he’s studied it closely, which is why he was so quick to realise that he’d been recruited as a scapegoat for the traitors.

What was the question in the funeral episode that you're talking about? I think I missed that bit!! Xx

mrstea301 · 23/01/2024 22:41

Sorry - never mind - have now finished reading the thread and have seen the answer ☺️

Autumngirl7 · 23/01/2024 22:52

The question is will molly protect Harry until the end ?? I think not ….. just feel Harry has his card marker! Ross and Andrew may throw him to the lions!!

reflecting2023 · 23/01/2024 23:40

I'm not that keen on Ross - avenge Diane?? Really - it is just a game haha

Harry said he put her 'in her place' - which turned out to be a coffin.

Even in a game show, having someone say that about your mother is a bit hard to stomach.

I'm sorry I feel the need to get shouty but I've sat on it all day and it's getting worse.

PLEASE PLEASE NO SPOILERS, COMMENTS OR ANYTHING ELSE about other series or other media for this series (Instagram etc). I know it's dropped off the thread title and intro post but it's how all of the other threads have been nicely trundling along.

(Uncloaked obvs fine because it doesn't give anything away)

Eek, I've discussed the first UK series a fair bit here. Sorry 🤭 I didn't realise it was off limits? I only watched it last week, so it's still very fresh in my mind, and I've kind of integrated the two series into one!
I guess I assumed everyone here had already watched the first series, which I shouldn't have. Mea culpa.

Ruminate2much · 24/01/2024 05:44

Back to the current series - getting ready for tonight! It'll be the first time I've watched it live, and it adds an extra layer of excitement I feel. Can't wait!

I sort of feel that if it’s already been on tv it’s a bit hard not to discuss tbh.

However that’s because I have such a lousy memory. Have watched the US Traitors reunion on IPlayer and I couldn’t remember who’d won until they said.

It is a game, and Ross will "avenge" Diane within the confines of the game. As in get him banished. I think if he went nuts and actually murdered or maimed Harry then it would have made the news and this series wouldn't have aired. It'll be interesting to see if he can get Harry out, without letting it slip Diane is his mum.

Mind you if Ross challenges Harry to a duel it would be fun. Especially if he says (as posted early) "My name is Ross Ataloss. You killed my mother. Prepare to die."

I really hope we see Ross' angry face again. It was magnificent- not sure it's possibly for Harry and Andrew to miss it.

CaveMum · 24/01/2024 08:13

In case anyone missed it, Claudia will have the Finalists (whoever they are) on her Radio 2 show on Saturday morning from 10am.

Haha I know he just seemed so angry!! And Harry thought he was loving it too .. at least at first

reflecting2023 · 24/01/2024 08:22

Ross and Diane both quite serious

Diane was a much better player.

The weakest faithfuls are always the ones left in the end. I think this is why people end up wanting the traitors to win. They can see they are more deserving of it.

(With the exception of Jaz who up until now has played his cards very close to his chest).

Turkeyhen · 24/01/2024 09:03

I know Ross has spectacularly failed to guess traitors thus far but he is my favourite person in there. He is hilarious and very likeable and I want him to wreak vengeance on evil Harry 😂

And that's a flaw in the game which might mean I stop watching it after this series. Good players get killed off quickly. Diane was smarter but she's out now and weaker players are still in.

Traitors can be crap too (Ash, Alyssa) but they get booted because other Traitors turn on them with the advantage of knowing who they are. The Faithful have a much harder job. Traitors have only one thing to do to win - stay in - and half the chances to get kicked. Faithfuls not only have to stay in, they have to root out all the Traitors, and they can be killed as well as banished. It's much harder so they deserve some slack for that, I think.

MaggieFS · 24/01/2024 09:28

I agree @NonPlayerCharacter . And I think in the early days, if everyone thinks the best approach is to root out traitors, then more fool them, and fair enough that the traitors can recruit.

But if they follow what I think is the better strategy of keeping quiet and only banishing traitors later on, then I think it's unfair for the traitors to keep recruiting.

However, I fully see why they do what they do. It is a flawed concept, and the producers do a great job to keep it entertaining.

Agree he's very likeable even though he's an abysmal judge of who's a traitor. I think his relationship with Diane is what made me really like him. They seemed to have such a great mother-son relationship and he seemed very sweet.

reflecting2023 · 24/01/2024 10:14

Ah no I love Harry and find Ross all over the place and not unlikeable but not especially likeable either / found Diane quite annoying and over confident / stern.

Stowickthevast · 24/01/2024 10:21

I'm not a Ross fan. He was a useless Faithful - guilty of the 100% trope on multiple occasions - and a total baby on the tunnel task. I am here for the avenge story line but hope he doesn't win.

What are people's predictions for tonight?

I think Harry may be in trouble with the convoluted shield story so am going to say Harry or Jasmine for banishment, and Zach or Jaz Sad for murder.

WoolyMammoth55 · 24/01/2024 10:29

Yes I agree! Harry is at most risk of being banished - I think they all suspect him enough even now, and so unless he pulls the high-risk shield thing off absolutely perfectly then it will be the nail in his coffin! If there's a Traitor meeting without him in it, then I think Andrew has the common sense to murder Jaz, who is their main threat... As sad as that would make me!

If Harry somehow survives the round table then my hunch is that he'll keep up his streak of only murdering women! And then Jaz hopefully gets his chance to stay til the final...

I'm very excited for tonight!

Somepeoplearesnippy · 24/01/2024 10:34

One thing I really enjoy about this series (the only one I've ever seen so far) is how good humoured the contestants seem to be about their deaths/banishments. It can seem quite cutthroat while they are around the table but once their fate is known they all seem to take it in good spirit and don't seem to harbour any ill will to the surviving contestants. I love watching them on Uncloaked laughing about their successes and failures.

Autumngirl7 · 24/01/2024 10:44

Zack for the win! He hasn’t been afraid to say what he thinks and is not a sheep! He’s unique and funny!
