Dear god… Scottish??? She couldn’t be any more N Irish

I’m going to hold my hand up and say that I have to listen really hard to tell Scottish and Irish accents apart. If I’m listening for it then I hear it straight away but if someone is just chatting and I’m not paying that much attention then I don’t hear it.

In the Australian show there was a contestant who got to last week but hardly appeared on screen at all.

One wonders what rules he broke!

All so -does anyone who watches this think Kieron last year played well or was clever? Has he done any interviews promoting this years season? May be his choice or maybe his punishment for breaking rules.

I read that the Australian guy kept chatting to the cameramen / making comments about the production crew etc and they had to keep editing him out because they want the audience to forget about the cameramen

Just a gentle reminder that the consensus is not to discuss other series apart from UK series 1. Much as they've been available for some time, many posters haven't seen them and have said they'd like to, so we've been steering clear of anything, even directional if not an overt spoiler.

Andrew seems like a lovely bloke but with the best will in the world, if I was buying him a gift for Christmas, it wouldn't be Trivial Pursuit.

I've just caught up with Uncloaked from Friday. Unbrushed was half brushed for the show!

Charlotte really didn't do herself any favours going on about the word convoluted!

That was weird. A mix of reality show 'famous ' faces and real people. I had no idea who was who and the personalities were all a bit too much. Alan is no Claudia.

I thought Kieron was a really bad sport tbh.

I was really cringing for her when she kept saying “I love you!” to Jasmine who was like wtf we can’t stand each other

Made me curious about who Charlotte usually hangs out with, clearly they do not use the words “I love you” in the same way as the rest of the country

Twonewcats · 21/01/2024 22:50

Does anyone know how Andrew got those scars on his head? They're really severe, he's obviously been through something major

Serious car crash. I believe he had to learn to walk again.

I wonder if they get to see it in advance or watch it when it airs. It must be interesting to see how it’s being edited.

@Turtlerussell Yes and Charlotte was being sensible, as once you’ve sussed out a traitor there’s surely little point voting them out straight away as they just get replaced 😂 better off using the banishment to have guesses about who the other traitors were

It makes sense that Paul lasted so long as he knew the power of popularity and set out to get it from the first second. What I think is most fascinating about the series is that it shows over and over again that what matters most is if people like you, and if they do they’ll ignore all facts and logic.

Well that and that, like moat reality shows, the white straight men gravitate towards each other and help each other out while screwing over everyone else, it’s fascinating to watch.

Anyway. Who will win? Not Harry, he’s gone too high profile. Andrew and Ross could do it if they keep their heads down and just wait.

You terrible man dotellhimpike. (true though)

DontBeAPrickDarren · 21/01/2024 23:42

I wouldn’t underestimate Andrew. I think the edit has been done in a way that makes him look like a simple fella but I reckon he pulls something out of the bag this week.

I think Charlotte was saving face about knowing Paul was a traitor, and really didn't have a clue

I agree! I actually only watched series 1 a few days ago. Then moved to series 2 the next day! Up to date now.
So it's still very fresh on my mind - I think Kieron was a hero honestly. Will was a snake! Everyone says he played brilliantly; but I actually think both Amanda and Alyssa were better traitors overall, especially in the beginning. I think Amanda should have backed Alyssa and voted out Will the day Will betrayed Alyssa; then the two women could have seen it through to the end, and shared Victory. Poor Alyssa.
I don't think Kieron broke the rules. I felt for him, as he didn't want to be a traitor at all, but was effectively forced. Really he was faithful to the end. I'm glad the money was shared between three faithfuls. Any faithfuls!
I actually think Kieron played well - he raised the possibility of a matriarch figure as lead traitor, helping identify Amanda. People forget that.

Anyway, re this year - I'm all about the faithfuls. I especially like Zach. Jaz is clever. Zach is sweet, and I felt for him when people got at him a lot in the beginning, which he really didn't deserve. Poor guy, just being himself...

Maybe, maybe not. I think see might have..But as we keep pointing out it's highly edited. There's hundreds of hours of footage, of which we see very little. Everything we see under 20 mins of each episode (like the tasks and round table) takes several hours.

If you imagine the round table beimg, say, two hours and that was purposely edited down to show everyone except Jaz supporting Paul. You're just not going to see Charlotte suspiciions.

Same as the footage of the discussion in the castle. Simply edit out any discussion of suspicion of Paul. Just people supporting him (which they could be doing so that he wouldn't know who suspects him).

The editing completely controls the narrative, from the "three blondes" looking clueless to Paul looking popular.and unquestioned. Which is why people can so different on Uncloaked to how they were in the show.

People on this thread have said how they'd play the game. If that plan is to not raise your suspicions and keep your self allied to who you suspect so you stay in the show. All the editors need to do is edit out anything - even on the yellow chair - where you speak out against that person then you'd end up with the viewers thinking you're a sheep and a clueless idiot. Or they'd keep in bits where you talk about your plan on keeping on board and suspicious of then and you'd look like a genius.
