Yep we noticed that. They will all need to wise up sharpish to take down Harry. I wonder who will lead the charge.

Generationawesome · 19/01/2024 18:13

I think they had to do something to get a traitor out or the show would have been over too quickly.

Andrew will be gone before they find Harry I think.

No offence taken @FruitBowlCrazy, it’s hard to convey nuance in a text based conversation and I did word my post badly.

Anyway, onto tonight. I’m assuming that the Traitors will retain the right to recruit as long as there’s only 2 of them, so with the imminent murder they could still recruit after the next round table.

I think they had to do something to get a traitor out or the show would have been over too quickly.

They recruited another traitor immediately though, so I don't think it was about getting traitors out to lengthen the show. If they banish traitors, they then recruit.

Autumngirl7 · 19/01/2024 18:20

at this point I would completely trust Andrew he seems like a “nice guy” Harry is just out for himself but I think he’s a brilliant player esp as a young lad. I am now def considering Harry as this years winner for sure! I think he will pull the string on Andrew right at the end !!! I would like to see Harry and Andrew both win! Andrew has been through a lot and I have a soft spot!! I’m pleased miles is out and now Paul !

Bluetrews25 · 19/01/2024 18:36

BBC local news (North West Tonight) has Paul on tonight, they have said.

I was wondering what happens if they run out of traitors? For example, they get down to one who tries to recruit, but the recruitee says no, then the only traitor gets banished at the next round table. DH said that the game would be over at that point and the faithful would win, but I don’t think that’s necessarily the case. If the contestants hadn’t completed all the missions, they wouldn’t have had a chance to get the full prize pot, so surely they’d need to push on?

I can just imagine a breakfast where they realise that no one has been murdered, then Claud comes in and says something like, ‘Nobody was murdered last night. Perhaps you should ask yourself what this means. Have the traitors been defeated? Or is that just what they want you to think…?’

The remaining faithful would tie themselves in knots trying to work it out, and then go on banishing each other. After all, there could still be traitors in the mix, and anyway, it’s better if you don’t have to share the money with so many other people… Grin

I can't make my mind up about whether Harry has blown it or not.

The edit makes it clear that he divulged quite a lot of detail, but who knows how much rambling and other noise and theories were shared as well that were cut. There is a good chance a couple of them will start thinking about it once the excitement has worn down, but I think he can talk his way out of it and shrug it off in a kind of "look, I just had gut feeling and a mad theory" kind of way. But if he starts being too 'clever' or 'strategic' now, he's for it.

I hope he hasn't overdone it - I think he has played it brilliantly up until now.

I wonder if any of them have been noting the voting and studying it. That's what I'd be doing.

ASH: voted by Paul & Harry (amongst others)
MILES: voted by Paul & Harry (amongst others)
PAUL: voted by Harry (amongst others)

They will be able to see that Paul was voting out Traitors left right and centre and look at who voted out the known Traitors, Harry would be in the middle of the venn diagram for sure. They would also realise that any theories about Traitors being a 'group' are bullshit and see that they are out for themselves. If they start applying that logic instead of thinking of the Traitors as collaborators, they might see Harry.

Andrew just looks absolutely defeated - like he has been handed a death sentence and doesn't seem to have it in him to take back any power - I hope he perks up tonight.

The Producers would recruit for sure.

Bluetrews25 · 19/01/2024 19:08

Paul was very jolly.
A lot of politician-type chortling
He does not know the outcome.

Bouledeneige · 19/01/2024 19:12

In the end aren't they all out for themselves - to win the money?

burnoutbabe · 19/01/2024 19:19

Regarding miles giving the drink, he volunteered as he was the one serving drinks gegerally.

And I thibk Paul and Harry generally have beer.

It would also have been hard to give it to a man as they tended to drink beer in a bottle and the women have wine.

So it was sort of set up who would pass out the glass and limited number who would take it.

I've missed Andrew's back story. What happened?

The Producers would recruit for sure.

But why, because I think that what I’ve described would make quite good telly!

What an amazing episode. So pleased to see Paul brought down. Harry played a blinder but I wonder if he slightly overplayed it. He's seeming too cocky and confident which is a big shift from the sweet persona that he was trying to project before.
I really like Zach. Respect to him for happily telling Paul to his face that he was voting for him. He was really clear but somehow managed to do it in a way that it wasn't at all angry or personal. Just factual and honest with no malice.

I also liked this bit with Zack and Paul

crabbyoldbat · 19/01/2024 19:30

SlightlyJaded - According to this (scroll down a bit for voting) https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Traitors_(British_series_2)
Charlotte, Jasmine and Mollie have also voted all of the traitors out, so just as suspicious as Harry, if that's all one's looking at

Do you think this was the round table that had Claudia shaking?

Absolutely, I almost had to turn it off for a break in the middle of them all going for Jaz.

SlightlyJaded · 19/01/2024 19:36

@crabbyoldbat Yes - but at least you'd be whittling it down a bit. It feels like they should consider that both Ash and Miles were voted out by Paul so it stands to reason that Paul was also voted out by fellow traitors - and look for common denominators.

crabbyoldbat · 19/01/2024 20:01

Good points, SlightlyJaded

blobby10 · 19/01/2024 20:06

Slightly off topic as I’m catching up on last nights episode but I LOVe Claudia’s skirt/kilt and jumper combo☺️☺️

I don’t know if they’ll see Ash as having been voted out by the traitors, she was under suspicion and then Paul and Harry just jumped on the bandwagon, she sealed her fate when she went in the dungeon.

I do think Harry has done too much though but I think I think another one or two faithfuls are going to be banished before some faithful turn their minds in that direction. We know that Ross isn’t a traitor but in their eyes he may as well be wearing an ‘I’m a traitor T-shirt’ after getting so many votes wrong.

Bouledeneige · 19/01/2024 20:29

blobby10 I agree. I said to DD I wore the same outfit my first day at university in 1982.
