Now fully at Live TV pace.

Will it be a traitor in the kitchen with a poisoned chalice?

I wonder if you could work it that you have two sets traitors. Both sets meet each night but only murder every other night. Traitors A on Monday, B on Tuesday. The two sets know who is in their group, but not who the other traitors are. It would give the traitors some of the same experience as the faithful.

Great thread title! I was going to suggest "Oh, my diddly days!" 😁

I think the mission said that they had to agree on who it was and get them to drink.

That's a good point. It's clear that Diane was the intended target - so does that mean that if she passes the cup to someone else instead of drinking from it, then that person is still safe and no murder happens that night?

Waggytail · 14/01/2024 15:42

Anthony was so cute and funny on Uncloaked. I was so surprised because I didn't get those vibes from him at all on the show! Same with Ash actually, she seems like a really bubbly funny lady.

I'm rooting for Diane. If she drinks the poisoned chalice I will be raging as we say in God's own country. She is an absolute bloodhound.

Yes, much as I want Diane to stay, she's a bit rubbish at working out the Traitors!

This is a really clever idea - something like this would be great.

I hope Diane survives. I think they were out of time as the bell had rung.

Now that Jaz is known to have called out Paul, if Jaz is murdered next it will cast more suspicion on Paul who is known to have a motive for shutting Jaz up.

There's no way Paul is getting to the end now, it's not just Jaz who has suspicions about Paul. The players on Uncloaked were shocked to hear Miles and Harry were Traitors but not that shocked about Paul. He's acted suspicious a few times. He will definitely get banished before the end. No one's going to trust him to the end/the firepit.

Harry still has an excellent chance of winning, no one suspects him at all. Miles was also above suspicion but the chalice task may scupper that - he was acting quite weirdly with the chalice. If Diane does survive and then Claudia says "the Traitors had to murder in plain sight but they failed so no one got murdered last night", then I can see people thinking "how were they going to murder?" and Diane thinking "why was Miles acting so odd?" etc.

Also, I expect they will have to recruit another Traitor before the end, so who that person is will change things a lot. If it's someone useless they may accidentally say things to give others away. I just hope the ending is better than last year where Wilf was thrown under the bus when he deserved to beat the clueless Faithfuls.

Diane or Ross should totally not reveal their relationship in the castle. Look what happened when the couple revealed their relationship last year - no one trusted them again as they had been keeping secrets, so they didn't last long after that.

WhereDidTheYearsGo · 14/01/2024 16:16

@MadeOfAllWork Ah I didn't remember that 👍

WhereDidTheYearsGo · 14/01/2024 16:18

People said Anthony had changed since the initial meeting on the train. He's a chess master so I think he was just heads down and focussed on the game.

WhereDidTheYearsGo · 14/01/2024 16:19

I think Jaz was clever letting people know he had suspicions of Paul because now Paul will avoid killing him

WhereDidTheYearsGo · 14/01/2024 16:20

I thought Harry had a really good chance of winning until Paul mentioned him to Jaz - and about a conversation that happened in the turret

ParsnipAndPoppy · 14/01/2024 16:24

Found you all, kept going back to the other thread to look for an update before I realised that a new one had been started!

PuppyMonkey · 14/01/2024 16:24

Late to this but I was gutted that Anthony went after he’d sussed what had happened with Paul in the dungeon. But then the next day he’d forgotten all about it and never mentioned him again. Confused

WhereDidTheYearsGo · 14/01/2024 16:35

I don't think he forgot but he was getting no support and it was increasing the chance of him getting murdered.

Re Diana Ross, they must surely have some secret word/gesture or something so they know if they're both faithfuls etc.
Anyway, either way, they seem to have an unfair advantage, ie almost working as a secret team.
But will they be "forced" to reveal it, do we think?

I agree - it's the easiest thing in the world to work out a secret signal to each other beforehand to indicate if you've been made or recruited as a traitor. It's definitely an advantage and I can't believe they wouldn't do it.

Yes, could be as simple as agreeing that if you get to be a traitor you'd wear a certain item of clothing the next day.

I was idly wondering what would happen if someone else nipped in and grabbed the chalice before Diane could accept it. 'I'll have that ha ha!' gurgle cark

boysmuminherts · 14/01/2024 18:12

Do you think it's been edited to look like Diane has the chalice but another player drank from it/another one first?

TokyoSushi · 14/01/2024 18:24

Checking in!

No names in case anyone hasn't seen series 1, but when the traitors were tasked with a similar challenge last year, it was edited in a way that made it look as though the murder took place after the chimes. The brief was also to do it "before the clock chimes midnight", whereas this year it was simply "before the night is through" - so I don't think they ran out of time. Diane was the obvious choice as earlier she'd been bemoaning the lack of wine, but maybe that was a bit too obvious - who knows? Could Mollie hoping "the traitors felt awful in that moment" refer to Ross finding out the next morning at breakfast and confessing the relationship?

If I were them I’d have a piece of clothing. Eg a certain shirt, pair of socks, piece of jewellery etc. I think a signal would be too easy to pick up, as would an odd phrase. But I agree they must have something!
