Now fully at Live TV pace.

Will it be a traitor in the kitchen with a poisoned chalice?

What @Choux is asking specifically @Dotellhimpike is were you watching a downloaded and ready to play episode on iPlayer. I think you were weren’t you, as opposed to using the live function on iPlayer as I was.

Choux is asking because the episode wasn’t downloaded for her until at least an hour later.

Dotellhimpike · 14/01/2024 02:03

Ah right, no it was the iPlayer streaming version. I don't know if the "watch live" function is the same as the iPLayer streaming version, given the version I watched allowed me to skip the recap, which I don't think you can do with the watch live version. My own reckon is that they both get made available for iPlayer at the same time but the ability to skip the recap creates an anomaly that puts some people a couple of minutes ahead of live viewers. It's worth having the conversation around this so that people can be warned not to spoil things if they have skipped the recap and are ahead of the rest of the thread.

Interesting theory...

I think the producers will definitely try and get Diane and Ross on opposite sides of the traitor/faithful divide.

WriterOfWrongs · 14/01/2024 02:15

Yeah @Dotellhimpike i was watching BBC One “LIVE” on iPlayer and you can’t skip forward. I was at TV place.

Very odd. Did you press on an episode to stream?

@Twonewcats i love this theory and I think it’s correct.

Yes, just clicked on the latest episode available for series 2.

Right okay, that what I meant by a downloadable, ready to play ep.

And @Choux is saying she didn’t have that option to watch the latest ep until after the show had finished live.

So definitely a glitch in the Matrix somewhere!

Thanks for the new thread

Ha I hope the others want to kill Ross in that case

Thanks @WriterOfWrongs

Choux · 14/01/2024 08:16

I'd love Diane not to have been murdered even though we saw her holding the chalice but the letter clearly said 'you will murder in plain sight' so I think the options are:

Diane has been murdered or
She poured the drink into her previous glass which presumably means she wasn't killed and Miles would have to refill the chalice and pass it to someone else or
Dianne passed it to someone else - Ross? So that person has been murdered or
The traitors failed to commit the murder as no one actually drank from it which will give the faithful a boost.

Stowickthevast · 14/01/2024 08:23

Thanks for the new thread @WriterOfWrongs , great title.

I'm coming down for breakfast, relieved not to have been murdered and I'm 100% Faithful!

I think the Beeb do have rights to the US one. I read some speculation that it'll be on iPlayer after the UK one has finished. Although then you miss the joy of the live speculation.

CaveMum · 14/01/2024 08:28

Thanks for the new thread, I’m away for the weekend so just catching up on everyone’s chat!

Agree there’s got to be a twist about the Diane thing, just not sure what!

Ah, thanks! I almost downloaded to remind myself what the task was, but coulnt be bothered in the end :D

Yep, I do think she'll pour it into another glass, or maybe change her mind, or will take so long to take a sip that they're too late.

Twonewcats · 14/01/2024 08:43

And if they're too late, I reeeally hope they don't tell them, so we can see their faces at the breakfast table when she walks in.

(Last year, wasn't there a murder that they could reverse/switch to being a Traitor? or am I imaging that?)

I fairly sure it was the other way round, they could become a traitor or if they didn't want to be murdered. (Keiron.)

ah yes! Thanks!

MadeOfAllWork · 14/01/2024 08:50

I don’t think they will be adding to the traitors or they would run the risk of traitors outnumbering faithfuls.

AttillaThePlum · 14/01/2024 09:10

Place marking.

It’s a long wait until Wednesday…

Thanks for the new thread.

Anthony was great on Uncloaked. I’d be glad to see him get more TV work.

Yes, I thought the same. He would be great on tv.

It made me wonder whether all the deceit in the castle subdued his character, or did the tv editing only show one side of him. He didn’t really get much airplay at all. Ash suggested there was a lot of laughter but we didn’t see that either. Who was the joker in the pack? It’s been very much a Paul/Harry/Diane show, with Ross/Zack/blondes/Miles as secondary characters. The others we hardly see.

Theydontknowaboutus · 14/01/2024 09:27

Just checking in. I love Jaz - he deserves to win, but maybe it's best for him to bide his time and try and slip under the radar a bit. Unless of course the bungled murder in plain sight puts any of the traitors in the spotlight. Most likely would be Miles. V clever of Paul to stay out of the room when it was happening.

Michiamo · 14/01/2024 09:33

I love this program so much and agree the wait is long to the following weds!

I’ve managed to watch the Canadian and NZ ones also (on a dodgy website).
Enjoyable the British one is best.

I really want Paul to be banished,he’s so over confident!

Hmmph · 14/01/2024 09:43

Wikipedia has a great table showing who voted for who at each round table. I thought it was quite interesting so thought I'd share:

AgentProvocateur · 14/01/2024 09:44

Hi - I’m watching this overseas the day after it’s shown in the U.K. Can someone please tell me what days it’s on? I got up early to watch it today, but it obviously wasn’t on yesterday.

IGotItFromAgnes · 14/01/2024 09:49

WriterOfWrongs · 14/01/2024 00:40

It’s not on the BBC. I’ve watched the first 3 episodes on Peacock but you have to have a US premium Peacock account.

I’m sure I read somewhere that it was going to be on the BBC at some point. Could be misremembering though,

kc431 · 14/01/2024 09:52

It’s on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays at 9pm 😊
