Paul is obviously the most popular player and he must be coming across as likeable and charismatic in there because they all say so. I know they're not seeing him when he's in undisguised Traitor mode like we are, but I think he's getting a weird edit because I can't see how he's being charismatic and charming to them. He's mostly just being boring and smirky, from the edit.

CormorantStrikesBack · 13/01/2024 07:52

I agree that Harry is playing a good game as a traitor. He’s not too quiet, he’s not too outgoing, he comes across as a bit dim (not saying he is dim at all, I th8nk he plays that up as part of the game).

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 13/01/2024 07:59

I find uncloaked fairly entertaining to watch - and it brings a fix right after the main programme finishes.. but by far my favourite part in it is the 2 who were booted off the previous day coming together find out who the Traitors are. Anthony's reaction was priceless last night!

MadeOfAllWork · 13/01/2024 08:00

Thinking about it, they have a huge amount of time hanging around in the castle with nothing to do but chat.

Breakfast and then they are told to get ready for the task. Often they get changed. So perhaps an hour before they head off.

Task which is 3 hours or so once you factor in all the prep that filming takes, getting there, getting back.

Then some kind of meal before the round table. No idea how much of that is cut out but it must take an hour at least.

So aside from the task and the round table the whole day is just hanging about. Lots of time to chat.

Jumanji89 · 13/01/2024 08:01

I think it would be more interesting and offer a better opportunity to spot traitors if the format was similar to the mole in where the traitors have to sabotage tasks to prevent the faithful winning money giving a traitors pot of money for any money that they prevent being added to the faithful pot. Miles can just sit around doing nothing and being non-commital about traitors discussion and will never come under suspicion. It feels too easy to be a traitor.

That being said, I can't for the life of me understand how Paul goes under the radar. Jaz is the only person with any gumption. The fact Paul wasn't murdered after the dungeon was a huge red flag especially as Meg was going to be voted off at the round table regardless. It made no sense from a strategic view to get rid of her. Love the series though and wish we didn't have to wait until Wednesday

If the series was indeed filmed in June in that part of Scotland, that task in darkness would have to have been done after 11pm.

allowing an hour to complete, then time before round table, then banishment then drinks and secret mission …. There’s no way that clock was striking midnight - more like 3am.

It was late summer/early Sept as I know of someone who’s in it and our connection told me his friend was down to the final auditions in August.

Stowickthevast · 13/01/2024 08:20

I think Miles may be in danger next episode. I feel like Paul is going to use the wall standing in the task against him with Harry as back up. Then if Diane does go, and Charlie & Zack remember him handing her the drink, that could be the nail in his coffin. Coupled with the fact that he's been under the radar so would be a good person to float as a possibility. Paul will know the Faithful need another traitor to keep the heat off him, and if he suggests Miles, he'll get all the kudos when he goes.

Then Paul & Harry may recruit again, maybe someone like Charlotte, and will be able to coast through to the end.

Alternatively hero Jaz manages to persuade them all to vote Paul, but I just feel like he doesn't have enough sway.

RokaandRoll · 13/01/2024 08:21

I hope Diane stays and Jaz somehow manages to convince her Paul's a traitor. She's the only other personality big enough to take him on and rally other people round.

catsareheroes · 13/01/2024 08:22

Isn't Paul a sales manager? So being charismatic is part of the job. He has them all fooled, Jaz is the only one with any brains.

Paul is this year's Wilf and Charlotte is this year's Hannah. It seems to be a faithful and stay to the end you need to be both quiet and dumb so you're not a threat to anyone. You need people to be indifferent to you and almost forget you are even there, as if you're too popular you will be murdered, or too noticeable and you will be banished,

Riverlee · 13/01/2024 08:26

I really thought Zack was a gonna last night, but I think some people, not all, are beginning to listen to him more.

BaconAndAvocado · 13/01/2024 08:28

I watched the last episode very late last night so was a bit sleepy but I thought Diane drank from the chalice so therefore is going to be murdered.

A few posts are questioning IF Diane goes.....

Sorry if I’m being thick.

Choux · 13/01/2024 08:42

I presume the one on camera bits (don't know what they are called - video diary sessions) are done in the castle. How else could Miles, Paul and Harry have been asked by the production team to go into the room to read the murder in plain sight task?

You are assuming you see everything in the order it happened. They had just done night task which might not have been at the castle. It could have been in a field next to the hotel. They then go to the hotel and sleep. Then the next day before leaving the hotel the traitors go to the video diary room thinking they are just recording a bit of their thoughts and get the letter. They then go to the round table to do the banishment and then it's onto murder in plain sight. So they have had a few hours to consider individually how they do it although they might only get chance to speak at the castle.

Another alternative is that there are identical video diary rooms at both locations so that to camera pieces can be filmed as and when the need arises.

We saw her holding the chalice but we didn't actually see her drink from it. Did she drink?

I think there are two reasons for this:
We’re used to massive cliff hangers from this series, and it just seems too obvious here that Diane would be the one to drink from the chalice.
They took so long faffing about finding the chalice that they may have run out of time and nobody drank before the click chimed ‘midnight’. This is probably the most likely scenario if Diane survives, but I’m also wondering whether it somehow turns out to be Mollie in a massive twist!

Holidayhell22 · 13/01/2024 08:45

I want Jaz to win. Think he has sussed Paul and Harry.
I thought either Antony, Ross or Zack would be for the chop.
My predictions:
I think Paul will not be banished. Too many faithfuls believing he is not a traitor.
By This time next week at least one of the blonde women will go.
Either Ross, Zack or both will be gone.
Another traitor will be recruited.
There will be another kiss of death challenge.
Miles will get caught out.

Morred · 13/01/2024 08:47

If they get the chance (knife Miles in the back to get the heat off them?), Paul and Harry should try to recruit Jas. He’s the only one who has really seen through Paul and has suspicions about Harry, and he’s a fantastic player and very smart.
I don’t know if he’d turn, but I reckon he’d have a better chance of winning as a traitor than as a faithful. He could outsmart Harry and Paul, and no one else seems to be able to put two and two together so he’d fly under the radar for quite a bit longer.
And if he then led a charge against Paul and maybe Harry as well as a traitor and was proved right, then he’d have massive power to “unmask” another traitor and protect himself.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 13/01/2024 08:52

Does anyone know - does it finish at the end of next week? I seem to recall it being over 3 weeks last time?

Casimira · 13/01/2024 08:54

Yeah, I felt the Paul-Jaz chat was Paul's way of telling Jaz he IS a traitor and so is Harry.

"Let's look out for each other in our different roles. 'Think' of me as a faithful, ie don't voice suspicions against me, and I won't murder you. You help me off Harry, then I'll recruit you."

Or am I crediting the players with too much intelligence again?

MotherofGorgons · 13/01/2024 08:54

Diane had actually sussed out Harry, Paul and Ash really early, but then she got distracted. I remember her saying Paul was so composed he coul be a traitor.

I agree Paul and Harry should recruit Jas but I wonder if the producers will pressure them to recruit a woman? Bit all boys' club now.

I don't believe the women, other than Diane, have any clue at all. They aren't pretending to adore Paul; they really adore him. He must be super sexy in person. Charlotte and Mollie will be taken to the end, like Hannah last year, still bleating how Paul just could't be a Traitor.

AnImaginaryCat · 13/01/2024 08:55

Anyone listen to Faithful 'To the Traitors' podcast? (They drop their podcast early morning after the previous evening's episode.)

They said something interesting, which I hadn't picked up on - the Paul said to Jaz "Harry told me yesterday". Now, depending on how it was actually filmed, that would mean Paul has pretty much told Jaz he and Harry hard a private conversation within a short period of time (so Jaz might realise that could be the in traitors' tower).

Though we don't know how it was filmed. Especially with the "night Jonny left" comment.

Was it

Day A: Round table and Jonny banished.
Day B: Breakfast with Claudia telling them they have a nighttime task. Hang around all day. Change for task (at hotel?). Nighttime task. Change after task (at hotel?) Late dinner. Late round table. V late drinks and traitor task

Or

Day A: Round table and Jonny banished.
Day B: Breakfast with Claudia telling them they have a nighttime task. Hang around all day. Change for task (at hotel?). Nighttime task. Back to hotel.
Day C: Unfilmed breakfast. Hang around all day. Dinner. Round table. Drinks and traitor task.

(Either way, one things obvious there's lots of hanging around and therefore lots of possible interactions we don't see.)

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 13/01/2024 08:56

Oooh interesting theory @Casimira . I hadn't thought of that. If that was the case then what he said makes more sense, and Paul is clever.

Also very risky on his part but he also strikes me as a risk taker.. and doesn't mind throwing Harry under the bus at the same time!

NashvilleQueen · 13/01/2024 08:57

@lemonsaretheonlyfruit I think one of them said last night he was the half way point so assuming six more episodes

Totally agree, I can’t see what’s so likeable about him at all, but you’re right it must be the way he’s being edited.

I really hope Jaz gets some more people listening, I think Paul messed up with his little chat with him & it seemed even more suspect but the danger is they’ll bump him off!

Are all the murdered not getting their letters on the same yellow chair in the same room, even though it's kind of set to look as if they get it when they go to their room at night? Assume they go in to the diary room and find the letter.
