I really dislike Paul. Coming out with Jaz has a vendetta against him. No he doesn't, he can just see through the bullshit. I'd be interested in if he plays his hand too early. He needs to get more people onside first.

It's interesting to see how their unconscious bias affects how and where they see 'clues'.

If Harry gets accused because of what Paul said to Jaz, he needs to say that Jaz was being really intense and trying to manipulate him to vote against Paul, so he got suspicious that Jaz was a traitor and felt like he had to warn Paul about what was going on. I think he could carry that off.

WoolyMammoth55 · 12/01/2024 23:23

OOf it was a LOT tonight.

Miles has potentially really made himself vulnerable if Claud is going to say it was a poison chalice - there's a few witnesses to him pointedly handing Diane a weird cup of fizzy wine!! 😮

Diane really has been a massive asset on the challenges, amazing fitness, but she's been a liability for being convinced she's right and vocally accusing innocent faithfuls...

Paul looked like he was coming undone tonight - literally unravelling - I loved him in the chair saying he was sweating through his massive jumper! Clever clever Harry just hiding outside while the deed was done, no one can say he had anything to do with it...

After tonight I'd say it'a Harry who's the Traitor most likely to win, TBH. Can't believe we have to wait til Wednesday! Argh.

theconfidenceofwho · 12/01/2024 23:23

I want Diane to go back to her original suspicions as she initially thought Harry due to his breathing changing when Claudia tapped him on the shoulder making him a traitor.

She also suspected Paul early on too but that seems to have all been forgotten & we haven't really seen the reason why.

Plus she was certain of Ash!

Come on Diane! Get it together!

Miles volunteered because he’d been manning the bar earlier in the evening so it wouldn’t look as suspicious

florentina1 · 12/01/2024 23:33

I wonder why no one called Miles our for standing on the wall

Nesbi · 12/01/2024 23:36

I thought Miles on the wall wasn’t a terrible idea. It seemed to make sense that if you were busy digging you needed a spotter who was watching the lights and who could protect you. Maybe it was the right idea but didn’t work well
in practice.

I wonder if it was over two days then, otherwise there would be people asleep in the corner.

I think it must have been, because during the round table, one of the ladies said something like "the night Jonny left" rather than "last night" which would have been an odd thing to say if it had been the previous night.

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 13/01/2024 00:02

In full agreement with Paul making a big fuck up with his cosy/menacing chat with Jazatha Christie.

I want you to think I'm a faithful'

Jaz was already suspicious and after that.... will he be vocal yet or keep quiet(ish) for a bit longer?

I can't believe we have to wait until Wednesday. Feels like an eternity!

MaggieFS · 13/01/2024 00:11

Also agree that was another slip from Paul. Jaz now knows not to mention Paul again at the round table for now, but meanwhile is building an emotional connection (and therefore trust) with everyone. I think he'll now bide his time until he can lead a banishment against Paul.

I know Anthony was under pressure before he was banished, but he was just down right rude to Jasmine at one point. I really don't have time for people who can't manage a disagreement conversation in an adult manner,

Was last year's murder in plain sight method later revealed to everyone?

MotherofGorgons · 13/01/2024 00:22

Paul appears to be made entirely of Teflon. How can he get away with those veiled threats? Now Jazatha Christie knows both he and Harry are traitors. Of course, nobody cares what poor Jazatha thinks, because he is a soft spoken brown man, who is not weeping and howling.

Also, how did no one notice the 3 stooges bumbling in the library? It was so obvious.

Mollie is going to be dragged into the final 3 like the sheep she is.

Twonewcats · 13/01/2024 00:41

Iirc, last year they were told someone was murdered in plain sight but I don't think they were told the method?
It would make it too obvious.

Re Diane, I'm wondering if she takes the cup then pours it into a champagne flute, as that's what I'd have done. Esp if I thought a stranger had already been drinking from the goblet.

I also wondered why anyone needed to be on the lookout while they were chatting at the fire pit. Surely any of them are allowed to go there if they want to?

Twonewcats · 13/01/2024 00:42

Oh, and Diane said there was no wine left, then suddenly there was a bar full of wine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Twonewcats · 13/01/2024 00:43

The weirdest thing for me was the 3 of them creeping around outside - but then made no attempt to come in quietly, walking on/kicking the chips 😖

JaneJeffer · 13/01/2024 01:27

Twonewcats · 13/01/2024 00:42

Oh, and Diane said there was no wine left, then suddenly there was a bar full of wine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Miles said they brought more in. I suppose they had to really or the traitors would not have been able to kill anyone Grin

TheFifthTellytubby · 13/01/2024 01:48

Twonewcats · 13/01/2024 00:42

Oh, and Diane said there was no wine left, then suddenly there was a bar full of wine 🤷🏼‍♀️

Diane actually looked quite disappointed about the wine being all gone and commented that it was probably a good thing anyway as far as she was concerned, which amused Paul and he went off chuckling - I knew then that she was the obvious mark! Whether she actually drinks from the chalice is another matter...
Molly commenting that she hoped the Traitors felt awful in that moment might be referring to what happens when Ross finds out his mum's been offed and then reveals the secret to everyone.

Willmafrockfit · 13/01/2024 06:09

let Jazz have a shield and then he can accuse Paul

Willmafrockfit · 13/01/2024 06:09

i think the tv programme are bluffing us and it wont be diane

saveyourkissesforme · 13/01/2024 06:49

I think that murdering Diane is too obvious. It will be someone else, or there will be a twist and no-one will go. I'm not a fan of Diane but as a strong character she needs to stay in for a while.

The Paul / Jaz situation could play out in various ways. If Miles goes next, perhaps the traitors might even try and recruit Jaz.

On another note, it does feel as if the female players are the most devoted Paulites. Perhaps the organisers are putting something in their breakfast cereal. He seems so fake.

CrapBucket · 13/01/2024 07:20

Last nights most hilarious moment: Harry arrivingg go at the fire pit with a jump, like Scrappy Doo, then going into serious mode. So funny

AnImaginaryCat · 13/01/2024 07:41

I presume the one on camera bits (don't know what they are called - video diary sessions) are done in the castle. How else could Miles, Paul and Harry have been asked by the production team to go into the room to read the murder in plain sight task?

I actually think it would really add to the game is the traitors has their own "plain sight" task more often. In reality the faithfuls only have personality to work off when trying to decide who is a traitor. Which as we are witnessing are really just clueless stabs in the dark based on misinterpreted actions.

Even the more astute amount the might figure out who is a traitor (like Jaz) but what's he got to go on now in convincing people who are "100% certain" Paul is faithful? Especially when that certainty is based off solely opinion

They don't even have the who's sneaking off to meet at might. So if there were a few more force in sight meetings then it would (slightly) level the playing field. It'd certainly pur more pressure on the traitors, and maybe make Paul less cocky and force Miles' into having to actually do something traitorous.

I mean in that task Paul did as little as possible other than being forced to help find the books (because two grown men can't look for things!!). But he chose to take the easier role of chatting- so by removing himself from possible suspicioun. If there were more in plain sight task then he couldn't do each time because Harry and Miles would notice and object.

MadeOfAllWork · 13/01/2024 07:46

So the diary / murder room must be in the castle then. I’m guessing they record the pieces to camera while they are kicking their heals around the castle after the task.

I wonder how much they see of the production team? Someone must have come to get the traitors to get them to go to get the note. But then if they are off filming stuff all the time then that wouldn’t have seemed unusual.
