Anthony is interesting isn’t he because as a chess player/coach you would have thought he’d be good at mapping out the consequences of various moves. I wonder if he’ll clock it when they discover Meg has been murdered. But whether they’ll listen to him is another matter, he doesn’t seem popular (Diane and being picked second last for challenge yesterday).

Thedrownedprophet · 11/01/2024 11:41

Missed the comments about Diane's sons having different accents at the end of the last thread.

Kerr definitely has a northern Irish accent IRL. Rounded off from living in England but definitely still there. Maybe they moved after he was too old to lose it?

My SIL moved to Ireland she. She was 10 and her sister was 8. She kept her accent, her younger sis didn't

H34th · 11/01/2024 11:51

Watching Paul and Harry pointing fingers at Ash, I was very surprised she didn't flip and say 'Actually, I think we should vote Paul'. Especially as others have already mentioned his name... She actually kept defending him till the end - saying let's look at quite ones... Decent of her, but zero chance of surviving.

Paul's fake emotional break down was so transparent.

Lavendersquare · 11/01/2024 12:31

I e been thinking over what might happen next and since Andrew has a protective shield and Ash has gone, only Meg or Paul are candidates for murder.

As traitors can't murder themselves only Meg can be murdered.

So.. quite a few people suspected Meg was a traitor but when she's murdered that would mean that Andrew, Paul or both of them are traitors. Surely this can't be good for Paul, he's already on the radar and was less than convincing at the banishment.

@WoolyMammoth55

Evie and Charlie, I doubt I could pick either out of a blonde line up at this point.

Charlie is the one that makes you want to drive up to Scotland and storm into the castle just to introduce her to a hairbrush…

I don’t think I actually noticed that Charlie and Evie were two different people! When they said Charlie, I thought they were referring to Charlotte. (Who has gorgeous hair, which is why I’ve now finally realised!)

I absolutely love Miles so far. He's the smartest traitor but also not traitorous. Smart and genuine.

Choux · 11/01/2024 12:40

After Kieron's comments And vote last series, perhaps Ash was given a producer chat before the round table and Reminded that she couldn't say or do anything which would expose another traitor. So she was forced to vote for a faithful.

I think his 'I don't know anything about anyone' act is going to wear thin very quickly.

In the podcast they asked Ash why she didn't vote for Paul and she said a) she just lost her mind completely under pressure and b) she still wanted the traitors to win ... basically, she wasn't up to the job

Alltheusernamesaretakennow · 11/01/2024 12:49

Yes, totally agree - much as I like Miles, imagine if they were all the same, in not voicing any opinions!

TEAM MILES! I so hope he wins!

Choux · 11/01/2024 12:53

@periodiclabel but again the edit on Uncloaked and / or a producer chat could mean that is the reason she gave. She wasn't a good traitor but that genuineness means she wouldn't want to spoil the game in episode 4 by blatantly pointing the finger at Paul.

LOADS of them don't say anything! He's warm and lovely and genuine and doing a great job not being on anyone's radar. It definitely helped that he actually WAS a faithful for a day so he made some genuine connections before he had to wear a mask. But still I'd prefer he win than anyone else we've seen so far (except maybe Jonny and Jasmine who I also like but aren't on screen as often!)

True! All the same, I'm sure producers said no farewell speeches fingering other traitors, which some people are expecting tonight but I don't see why she couldn't have named Paul as a traitor when he and Harry had attacked her. She started to go down that road then retreated ...

CrushingOnRubies · 11/01/2024 12:57

Thank you for the new post! Marking place for later

Nesbi · 11/01/2024 13:00

Paul might get away with it if people are convinced that there were only 3 traitors and that no more than one of them would have gone into the dungeon (ie Ash).

The traitors should now get people thinking about who supported Ash, as that might get some heat back on to Zack (who seemed in a bit of trouble at one point just because he was pissing people off, and it is not clear if they still feel like that or are warming to him)

Paul won’t last too long though, he is too visible and that always marks you out for banishment eventually. I think he is just loving playing the game though. Ultimately it isn’t a team sport, you want to get rid of everyone whether they are faithful or a traitor so no sense prentending to be anything other than what you are - an individual in a game of backstabbing who has to outwit lots of other individuals!

JaneJeffer · 11/01/2024 13:01

@Sarvanga38 I agree he can't keep that tactic up forever, it's already looking dodgy as did the look of relief between him and Paul after Ash got voted off if anyone else spotted them!

WoolyMammoth55 · 11/01/2024 13:09

Uncloaked afterwards is GREAT FUN and really adding lots for me this season - last season I was desperate to see more of them after they'd left and I'm glad we get that this time around.

They do all come across really well on it and you realise how much weird pressure and stress and sleep-deprivation they are under during the actual show which makes them do stupid things - like I definitely would myself if I was in there! I can't play Poker to save my life (nor would I cope with the running and jumping challenges!)

All power to them all for giving it a go obviously 😅

AfraidToRun · 11/01/2024 13:22

What happens if the traiters outnumber faithful? Will they intervene and convert a traiter back to faithful?

SpttyMaldoon · 11/01/2024 13:25

Miles is proof that you don’t have to be horrible to be a good traitor.

I understand they have to scheme and lie, it’s part of the game, but they way Paul is enjoying it and salivating during the segments with the producers is what makes me feel sick.

Stowickthevast · 11/01/2024 13:26

Thanks for the new thread @CaveMum

I thought Uncloaked was great - loved seeing Brian's new sheep tattoo!

Ash was really disappointing last night. Particularly how she knew she'd be up for banishment but didn't prepare anything to say it's justify herself. She shouldn't have gone into the dungeon as that meant she didn't get to defend herself during the day.

Agree Meg being murdered will look suspicious as she was a suspect. I feel like Paul will be able to wriggle out though by pointing the finger at Jasmine, who Meg voted for, or Zach who defended Ash.

Apart from that, I think Zach is really growing o
n me. He may not have got Diana Ross right but he was suspicious. Also he's on to Paul. Unfortunately I don't think he's got the support. A couple of strong characters like Charlotte don't like him so think he'll struggle to stay.

Also Mollie made quite an astute comment at one stage last night. I think about there possibly being 4 Traitors which the rest of them seem to have forgotten. I think she's my favourite of the quiet ones or blondes!

No real mystery going into tonight as we know Meg will be murdered but looking forward to seeing how Paul plays it.

I don’t think that would work, as they’d obviously know who the Traitors were

SpttyMaldoon · 11/01/2024 13:27

Also, he thinks of himself as so clever and all he could come up with when accused of being a traitor is to shed a few fake tears and say he misses his wife and kid 🤮
