We think it was Diane who took the chalice, but we think it would be too obvious for her then to drink it and die, and some clever clogs wisely suggested that even if Diane did drink, she may have done so too late (after the clock chimed).

I wonder if the traitors get punished in some way if they fail the mission …

Paul was so threatening during his little chat with Jas, who does he think he is?! I just find him so smarmy and horrible, he makes my skin crawl. Not because he is a traitor, but because he is so slimy. How can they all love him?

Totally agree, if I knew him in RL I’d be questioning everything I ever thought about him and wondering if too was part of some big game he’s playing.

I also think it’s one of those cases where actually no one really likes him but they all think everyone else does so won’t speak up.

he’s starting to make bad decisions, eg the chat with Jaz and telling him he knew about Harry. He’s also so smug … he’ll come a cropper soon but I think he will try to take out the others on his way. If he can’t win no one can!

ParsnipAndPoppy · 12/01/2024 23:03

And please don’t go Diane!

I think that Paul is just used to people doing what he says. My feeling is that Jaz is used to confident white men thinking they can boss him about and can see right through it.

No way will the producers let Diane go until absolutely necessary.

She's TV Gold, one of her sons is a TV star, and her other son is a Traitors double job lot with her.

I suspect the 'love' for Paul is like the 'love' the huddled masses feel for dictators. That is, not love at all, but fear.

They were talking about this on the BBC programme that follows the show and Krishnan Gurumurthy said they all seem frightened of Paul and that this is how dictators are made. But why are they frightened of him? They always seem unduly anxious to please him for some unaccountable reason.

WingingItSince1973 · 12/01/2024 23:11

Why would anyone drink out of some old metal wine goblet anyway? Did anyone now ask him where he got that from?

If I was Paul, the way I'd played the chalice thing is to say "this wine tastes a bit off to me, does it taste odd to you X?"

Nesbi · 12/01/2024 23:14

Paul will definitely go but I think he has been brilliant for the show. He really dropped Harry in it though.

I think Jaz has a high risk of getting murdered but if he is smart enough to keep his head down and keep his suspicions to himself he has a good chance.

There were other similar glasses on the bar.

But on the subject of Popular Paul ™️, I think it's a bit unfair to talk about red flags in a dating sense when he's playing a game.

He came across as menacing in his chat with Jas, yes, but you have to remember that he hasn't had such chats with any of the remaining others I don't think. Many do seem to like him genuinely.

AnImaginaryCat · 12/01/2024 23:17

Diane is evidently the target (did the three traitors in their public secret meeting name her? Other they saying big personality) but she may not drink it I suppose. Mind you, if she wasn't their victim its a bit of an odd tactic giving it to her!!

Paul getting a bit desperate there wasn't he in his desperate attempt to manipulate Jaz.

CaramelMac · 12/01/2024 23:18

WriterOfWrongs · 12/01/2024 23:13

If I was Paul, the way I'd played the chalice thing is to say "this wine tastes a bit off to me, does it taste odd to you X?"

I would’ve taken the murder victim into the library with just the traitors, handed them the glass and made a toast and clinked glasses, so for them not to drink would be really uncomfortable, but also none of the faithful would’ve seen it happen so when Claudia says tomorrow they drank from the poison chalice no one would know what happened.

Samcro · 12/01/2024 23:18

Jaz is my favorite now.
paul is so cocky he pretty much outed himself and Harry

theconfidenceofwho · 12/01/2024 23:19

Evil genius @CaramelMac Grin

WriterOfWrongs · 12/01/2024 23:19

Good idea @CaramelMac ! But I wonder if they were running out of time to do that?

Paul definitely fucked up in his chat to Jas by saying Harry told him what Jas said to Harry.
