Was on night shift so just got home and watched it on iPlayer. My love for Ulsterwoman Diane remains strong, not least of all for that orange blazer, I'm only surprised she didn't have a bowler hat to accompany it.

Not surprised to see Ash go but I think Paul has overplayed his hand and will go in the next couple of banishments.

MaggieFS · 11/01/2024 10:22

Ash was a terrible traitor! Good tele, but terrible strategist.

Paul is funny. He's good for the game. I think he'd annoy me in real life. I don't for one minute take him seriously, about missing partner or son which makes it all the more amusing. He's just having a great time.

But it was funny to watch his Andrew strategy backfire and I think it makes Andrew safe from murder for a while now. After Meg, the traitors can't go back to mudering the big characters or it will be bloody obvious why Meg was murdered and not Paul. I think Paul will be able to talk his way out of it - there are a few reasons around why wouldn't be him e.g. he'd already said he thought he was a target and the other person had called him out, so it would almost be too obvious now to murder him.

I do wonder if the condemned dungeon day was always planned for that day, or just ready for when needed and when Ash wasn't banished the first time, the producers decided the time was right to shake things up a bit.

Oganesson118 · 11/01/2024 10:22

Havent caught up on other thread so sorry if im repeating anyone…

I was sad to see Brian go. I think he walked into it though when he kind of lost his head. The sheep thing was playing on his mind I guess.

The twist where only the winning team in the mission got to save someone was brilliant. Paul was fuming. I think given that Meg now has to be murdered next will start to cast suspicion back onto him - if people think logically, why would they murder Meg when so much suspicion was on her. I wouldn’t be surprised if Zack and Jaz start to reckon that one out and begin to bring it to people’s attention.

eish · 11/01/2024 10:29

I agree about Brian, I felt sorry for him as I think he just lost it and seemed like a nice guy.

I read an article that interviewed a faithful from last year who said it was so difficult because all the crew know who the traitors are and only the faithfuls don't so you feel this unbelievable pressure. I think that messed with Brian a bit (alongside the sheep comment which I agree seemed to get to him).

TellingBone · 11/01/2024 10:34

We were all looking forward to the conclave when Ash was to be confronting Harry and Paul for turning on her weren't we? What a damp squib that turned out to be. Unless I missed something [I was distracted for a moment admittedly] Harry and Paul seemed to just gloss over it by referring to their second, confirming votes after the draw rather than their original votes. Why did she let them get away with that?

lemonsaretheonlyfruit · 11/01/2024 10:36

Yes the production team must have some quite last minute / stressful meetings discussing what could / should happen and directing the course of the show. Kind of like this thread, discussing all possible outcomes and deciding what to do next. I would love to be in on one of those!

Tel12 · 11/01/2024 10:38

I'd quite like to see Paul get his comeuppance. He's just too smug.

QueenOfThorns · 11/01/2024 10:39

I hope they’re clever enough to suss Paul out, and soon! Zack, Jaz and Ross seem to be on the ball, so maybe they’ll work it out. Also, Anthony is keeping his thoughts to himself (probably too scared to say anything in case he reminds Diane that he exists!), but hopefully the cogs are turning there too!

IGotItFromAgnes · 11/01/2024 10:40

Did Harry and Paul vote for Ash in the first round before the tiebreak? I thought Paul, at least, voted for someone else (Jaz?)

I’d forgotten about Anthony. Did he get any screen time at all last episode?

CaveMum · 11/01/2024 10:43

Ash said on Uncloaked that she accepted Paul's "explanation" about why he had voted for her in the round table because she thought it was better to keep a close eye on him and try to regain trust. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer, and all that.

RokaandRoll · 11/01/2024 10:44

I think Paul's in big trouble. Firstly I think it was so strange when he was fake-emotional at the round table saying he wanted to leave anyway but that dried up really quickly when someone (can't remember their name) picked him and he said "we'll talk." Secondly I think the faithful will be asking questions about why Meg was murdered rather than Paul and will start looking in his direction.

ShitIforgothelves · 11/01/2024 10:47

Just placemarking!

RonSwansonsChair · 11/01/2024 10:54

Thanks for the new thread @CaveMum 😊

Can't wait to see how Paul will play it now.

Does anyone know why Kyra wasn't on Uncloaked with Brian last night? EDIT: oh maybe she was on the week before and I missed it??
I thought Brian and Ash both came across really fun on that.

eish · 11/01/2024 10:55

Yes I think Paul has played his hand and confidence too openly and will go soon.

I had no idea there was an uncloaked! I will have to go and watch...

whosaidtha · 11/01/2024 10:56

Ash was so stupid to put herself in The dungeon. And didn't make it better by suggesting that it was a double bluff from the traitors to make her look more traitorous.
I think if I was in there I would be well suspicious of Harry. He is trying to hard to look innocent.
I think miles will make it to the final. But I think the faithfuls will win. The traitors are too out for themselves and as we saw last year that will back fire.
I predict that Paul will be banished next thanks to megs murder.
Why the cliffhanger on whether ash is a traitor. We know she is. My dh thinks maybe she says something about the other traitors betraying her? I would have if I was her.

CrapBucket · 11/01/2024 10:58

I wonder if Paul will think Harry and Miles deliberately lost their task, and didn’t want to rescue him. He’s not going to trust them now.

EddieHowesShithousingMags · 11/01/2024 11:04

I really hope Paul goes soon. He is far too self satisfied and smug and I agree with Zack and Jaz that he is way more confident than everyone else (in my opinion because he thinks everyone is too stupid to figure him out).

CaveMum · 11/01/2024 11:10

They need to grasp the idea of “divide and conquer”! The Traitors need to split themselves up to influence as many Faithful as possible. Of course that means you need to trust your fellow Traitor to stick to the game plan…

OP posts:
whosaidtha · 11/01/2024 11:12

I absolutely agree. The traitors should be discussing who to banish with each other so they get a double whammy each day.

CaramelMac · 11/01/2024 11:20

I think if you’re a traitor you’d be so worried about being stabbed in the back it’s hard to concentrate on divide and conquer, and once you’ve stabbed someone else in the back none of the other traitors will trust you so you’re doomed!

JaneJeffer · 11/01/2024 11:22

Can't wait for Harry to double cross Paul

JaneJeffer · 11/01/2024 11:23

I'm only surprised she didn't have a bowler hat to accompany it.
😂

periodiclabel · 11/01/2024 11:29

I am far too invested in this! Love Uncloaked for giving us all the background ... I was listening to it first thing this morning. Paul is so into being a traitor, he's obviously had a plan from the start to backstab other traitors straight away and be the king, but he's done it too early and I can't see how he can survive forever now the smarter faithfuls are onto him. Anthony didn't say a word last night out of terror of Diane but I can see them all turning again on him soon for that reason ...

SpttyMaldoon · 11/01/2024 11:36

@WoolyMammoth55

Evie and Charlie, I doubt I could pick either out of a blonde line up at this point.

Charlie is the one that makes you want to drive up to Scotland and storm into the castle just to introduce her to a hairbrush…
