Brian got himself in such a rankle, I genuinely thought he was going to vote for himself at one point!

😂

happinessischocolate · 06/01/2024 07:47

I think Harry and Paul voting for Ash is more a see we're not traitors move rather than just purely they want her votes out.

happinessischocolate · 06/01/2024 07:51

I can't be leave how many people are voting on the basis of I don't like you very much therefore you must be a traitor 😂

Diane can be so clever but has got a bee in her bonnet about Anthony because apparently he's selfish for not letting her (selfishly) push in the line up.

Do they completely forget that Claudia picks the traitors, and how trustworthy or funny you are has nothing to do with it.

happinessischocolate · 06/01/2024 07:52

I also can't believe I just spelt it be leave 😂😂

Holidayhell22 · 06/01/2024 07:54

I’m absolutely loving this.
I watched the first series and throughly enjoyed that too.
Paul is such a snake.
I feel sorry for Ash. Lord knows how this will go if she survives the banishment.
My favourites at this early stage are Diane, Mollie, ( the guy who got a vote last night-can’t remember his name!) and I’m starting to like Andrew.

Holidayhell22 · 06/01/2024 07:58

I also quite like Jonny ( seems a decent chap) and I’m stating to like Tracey as she does seem astute especially about Ash.
Felt sorry for Brian to. It must be the stress getting to him. In the last series contestants started to crack under the pressure.
I would much rather be a faithful than a traitor.

Willmafrockfit · 06/01/2024 08:15

why is paul a snake and not harry,

it will be very exciting if Ash stays though!
however i think Anthony will vote for Diane

Clearly the other players aren't seeing it, but there's a smugness to Paul that does seem to be putting a lot of viewers off him. I don't find any of the current traitors to be very likeable, tbh.

It's hard to do a likeable antihero/heroine. I suppose we might need to settle for "watchable".

MadeOfAllWork · 06/01/2024 08:46

Harry seems to be doing a very good job of flying under the radar. His name didn’t come up once on the round table. He seems to have much the same attitude as Paul but can pull it off with them, and us, because he has this whole ‘cheeky chappy’ attitude.

I really felt for Brian. You could see he just had a complete nervous panic. I think a lot of us would in a situation like that.

Also, should I ever go on, don’t wear bright clothes or be older seems to be the way to stay in. Aubrey and Sonia were both notable by their age and dress sense. Be one of those quiet people who doesn’t get noticed.

periodiclabel · 06/01/2024 08:55

yes, although that’s why the Brian sheep thing worked so brilliantly as he obviously tried that tactic, and it spectacularly backfired

2023usernameNew · 06/01/2024 09:09

@CaveMum , just started watching Uncloacked.

I think it’s safe to say Ed doesn’t have the same stylist as Claudia… that shirt!

In the middle of the night, when I was wide awake, I was thinking about the mother and son revelation.

Do you think the production company fed this discovery? Ie. Maybe said that something along the lines that last year they had girlfriend/boyfriend maybe they have relatives here this time and the player (as i beleive they. Are called) concluded it was mother/son.

Depends on how you look at it. If they thought he was a sheep, they probably didn't think he was a traitor. He only got in trouble after getting upset about it and trying to convince them they'd got him wrong.

I thought the same, and I know he loves his clothes so it's not as though someone else styled him. I don't like him on screen but I do like the off menu podcast that he does with James Acaster is really good. The episode with Claudia Winkleman is fantastic. She is amazing.

sashagabadon · 06/01/2024 09:32

I think Ash is doing what a traitor should be doing - which is gathering intelligence and trying to influence votes in a particular direction. Maybe she was being too much about it as people suspected her and maybe it is too early to be doing that. That is probably her mistake.
The votes are all over the place at the moment so no one is safe but the traitors do need to start to try and influence the others subtly soon.

CaveMum · 06/01/2024 09:33

@2023usernameNew i didn’t watch Uncloaked, only listened to the pod but will try and watch it later.

re were they suspicious about a partnership being in the game, the murdered/banished contestants on Uncloaked said they were looking out for it after S1 but were more focussed on a romantic relationship than a familial one.

CaveMum · 06/01/2024 09:34

Being quiet and not getting noticed might work for the first few banishments, but it won’t protect you from murder (if I were a traitor I’d want to pick off a few quiet ones just to confuse the group as to why they’d been chosen) but after a few days you’d need to start forming proper alliances and that will inevitably draw attention to you.

NonPlayerCharacter · 06/01/2024 09:56

It's probably not possible never to come under suspicion from anyone.

Holidayhell22 · 06/01/2024 10:04

To be clear I disliked Harry from the off and would not trust him.
This is down to personal experience though which I won’t go into on here.
I would trust my gut instinct/spider sense.
That is what Diane and Tracey are good at. Shame is people don’t listen to these primeval instincts, we are socialised to try and see the good in everyone.

I think they do sleep at the castle. It doesn't make any sense for them to not sleep there. They're in the middle of nowhere in the Scottish Highlands and yet there's 20+ other accommodations nearby? I doubt it. I started watching the US one and they sleep there. Why wouldn't the UK ones? Plus the VT they do of them in the bedrooms and in the room where they pick up the 'you're murdered' letter makes all the rooms look very much like the style of the castle. I think they probably get in the cars and drive round the back to another entrance that has stairs to the rooms. Presumably they're all en-suites and they will have to sign something agreeing to stay in their room all night so they don't see anyone. Then they probably wait in their room until someone from production knocks to say it's their turn to go down for breakfast.

Willmafrockfit · 06/01/2024 10:56

they go off in cars though

Willmafrockfit · 06/01/2024 10:57

you would think they would look out of their window at night, or hear sounds

The American one also made it appear that the castle actually belonged to Alan Cummings, which I don’t think was entirely accurate. Grin

They said in the show that they don’t sleep in the castle.

As for the shots of them sitting in their rooms reading/lifting weights/knitting are clearly staged. I suspect they take them off into a couple of rooms in the castle to do those bits.

They all pick up the ‘you’ve been murdered’ letter in the same room - so I suspect they get them from the accommodation and take them off to the room. Think about the lady who was murder last. Her hair, make up and clothes were perfect. That was not a woman who had just woken up. I bet they are all in a nearby Premier Inn.

Stowickthevast · 06/01/2024 11:45

Alan Cumming said the of the US one that they all stayed in the airport hotel in Inverness!
