THIS IS A TV PACED THREAD

New drama. On Mon and Tue for 3 weeks

the six part series is an addictive, emotional roller coaster and looks at how we never know what goes on behind closed doors.

When Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Pete (Alfred Enoch) move into an upscale neighbourhood, they find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety.

But soon find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny (Sam Heughan) and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka (Jessica De Gouw).

As time goes on, these two couples get increasingly close to each other and one fateful night, become sexually entangled in a way that will change their lives forever…

Starring Sam Heughan (Outlander, Suspect), Eleanor Tomlinson (The Outlaws, Poldark), Jessica De Gouw (Pennyworth, Our Man from Jersey) and Alfred Enoch (Tigers, How To Get Away with Murder), the first looks have been released for The Couple Next Door which is coming this Autumn to stream and watch live on Channel 4.

Yes we finished it tonight. Agree. Utter nonsense with pointless side alleys that weren't concluded properly, but I still enjoyed it 😀 Mainly because there was so much to take the piss about!

I annoyed the men in my household by leaving the tv on pause with SH nude torso while I went to make dinner 😂
Finished this rubbish a few days ago. It was so watchable but ridiculous

I feel sorry for Becka's and Danny's son who gets little attention from them.

I totally forgot they had a son until last night! Where was he on the day they had their trip to the beach - the sort of trip you'd normally take your child 🤔?!

I'm pretty sure They explained that on that day he'd be on a sleepover at presumably at a friend's

And I agreed with Danny that Pete was an idiot for grassing on him!

I binged watched this yesterday. Wow, the acting was atrocious!! Ridiculous eye expressions all the time, I thought Pete’s eyeballs were going to pop out when he was playing drunk. As for Evie’s comical demented face… we spent most of the programme laughing.

I find it all a bit daft but good in that I'm wondering what will happen.
There's a lot going on.

I was thinking during that scene with Evie and Danny surely Danny's workplace would have internal cameras ?

Evie had no bag / phone / keys in the restaurant when she walked in looking great. I presume her coat was in a cloakroom but what woman goes out without her phone and bag.

Was Danny's child Ethan born before he got together with Becka ?
