I’m more convinced than ever that it is all mince.
For the cast to say so many of them have been misrepresented or have characteristics hidden or the full story isn’t being told, just reinforces that they’ve gone for manufactured drama and bunfights.
There is no question that Tash is feisty and gobs off. Inappropriately so. But the preview for last night made it look as though she really kicked off at the dinner party and she reacted just once to being interrupted.
Arthur has clearly something to say and is cutting and sometimes funny with it - who knew?
Rozz was apparently lots of fun - all we saw were tears and sexy time talk and shite with an egg.
Matt has been portrayed as strong in’t arm thick in’t head. Apparently he is fun too. You’d not think it from this.
JJ is another one. Everyone thinks he is the muttsnutts in there. Why are we not seeing what they see?
Bianca. A feisty one too but you’d never have thought it until her sod you farewell.
The experts are glossing over the ‘behaviour’ from Ella and Peg and are insisting that their partners are to blame for not fluffing them up instead of addressing that both of them (Ella and Peg) seem very damaged.
I’m not sure if it is a poorly written soap, if the edit has been deliberately obtuse, if they are exploiting vulnerabilities in people or a combination thereof. I wonder if the producers think this is what we actually want despite most of us saying over the years that it isn’t.
And yet we all come back.
Like Jed Maxwells.
Without the tattoo of an ixpert on our chest. A-ha.
