The one where your creepy bastard mannequin is not only more animated but is wearing something that is arguably more demure than your puritan stuff. And has more to say if you pull a string. Maybe “Graft and make it raiiiiiiiiiin”.

Classy? Yer bollocks yer are.

Also I remember back in the day the ixperts did do the interviewing, profiling and actual matching. (Let's lock them in....)
Budget cuts?
Now they just do unaware commentary meets psychobabble and act as pushers and product placers for LoveHoney and co.

JaneJeffer · 10/11/2023 19:09

Lordy, two nights for a reunion dinner party....
Just rewatched last night, Tasha talks tripe and Arthur was funny if painfully so sometimes.
I love that Thomas bought Arthur a mug.
Not convinced any of them will make five months, let alone five years....

It will be one night for the dinner party reunion and then the next night for the debrief/reunion with the 'experts' - have to admit it will be interesting to see who goes back out of the people that have already left!

TitsInAbsentia · 10/11/2023 19:11

Have just spotted that the NZ version starts on Thurs night straight after the final episode...I'll give that one a go, of course....

JaneJeffer · 10/11/2023 19:12

See! 🤣

beastlyslumber · 10/11/2023 19:14

Just catching up on last night... Laura is such a boring cow. I like Arfur more and more.

Why has Erica got eggs in her hair?

Peggy's dress, wtf? hahaha

beastlyslumber · 10/11/2023 19:17

Poor JJ. He looks like he could just cry and run away. I thought he was a total knob at first, but now I just feel sorry for him.

We will all be here

43ontherocksporfavor · 10/11/2023 19:29

@Turtlerussell you are so right. I can’t imagine watching without the thread . I can cope with the madness if I know others feel as outraged as me.

TitsInAbsentia · 10/11/2023 19:29

@beastlyslumber was a great night for outfits...still don't know why Ella came dressed as Pete Burns wearing Camilla the Chicken from the Muppets....

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 10/11/2023 19:39

@Turtlerussell

I have been MIA mostly and this thread has been a welcome escape from other trials.

Folk are so funny and insightful and although we either agree or are a little voice or two in the darkness (mainly re Tasha this season!) we are mostly good natured and the fun goes on through some of the bleak shite on the episodes! I love these threads - even if I see my arse with the direction the programme is taking.

I wish the MAFS people see the criticisms and would maybe consider going back to basics.

I’m so glad things are looking up for you. Here? Worse before it gets better I think but we soldier on.

I’m still hoping George’s leaps fences to run from Peggy. Like Alan Partridge running away from Jed Maxwell.

I am here for the frocks all next week. Get in.

The producers done him up like a kipper.

(I’m not entirely sure what that means but it sounds appropriate)

43ontherocksporfavor · 10/11/2023 19:42

@SheldonesqueTheBstard Georges may yet be witnessed running away from the mock Tudor shouting “She’s a mentalist!”

JaneJeffer · 10/11/2023 19:44

@TitsInAbsentia why you always lying?

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 10/11/2023 19:44

And we can toast the final episode with Prosecco in an arielator…

beastlyslumber · 10/11/2023 19:46

Arfur is hilarious! I'm sure Georges would have been laughing, if no one else.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 10/11/2023 19:47

I’m more convinced than ever that it is all mince.

For the cast to say so many of them have been misrepresented or have characteristics hidden or the full story isn’t being told, just reinforces that they’ve gone for manufactured drama and bunfights.

There is no question that Tash is feisty and gobs off. Inappropriately so. But the preview for last night made it look as though she really kicked off at the dinner party and she reacted just once to being interrupted.

Arthur has clearly something to say and is cutting and sometimes funny with it - who knew?

Rozz was apparently lots of fun - all we saw were tears and sexy time talk and shite with an egg.

Matt has been portrayed as strong in’t arm thick in’t head. Apparently he is fun too. You’d not think it from this.

JJ is another one. Everyone thinks he is the muttsnutts in there. Why are we not seeing what they see?

Bianca. A feisty one too but you’d never have thought it until her sod you farewell.

The experts are glossing over the ‘behaviour’ from Ella and Peg and are insisting that their partners are to blame for not fluffing them up instead of addressing that both of them (Ella and Peg) seem very damaged.

I’m not sure if it is a poorly written soap, if the edit has been deliberately obtuse, if they are exploiting vulnerabilities in people or a combination thereof. I wonder if the producers think this is what we actually want despite most of us saying over the years that it isn’t.

And yet we all come back.

Like Jed Maxwells.

Without the tattoo of an ixpert on our chest. A-ha.

Ramalangadingdong · 10/11/2023 21:08

Or nosecco.

you know, JJ has grown on me. He seems ok - apart from the way he treated Bianca, of course.

Comfortablechair · 10/11/2023 21:10

@SheldonesqueTheBstard ok some perhaps controversial opinions:

  1. I think Laura is fantastically sexy and i am also like arfur attracted to her dominating, sexy and kind of bitchy ‘you’re worthless’ you don’t deserve me attitude. She’s hot - all he needed to do was fake being posh to get through the Chelsea witches test then he’d be fine. I do love arfur …the lights are on but literally no one is ever home. My cat is more intelligent than that bloke.

  2. Georges has acted the whole thing - start to finish. The whole story arc has been invented by producers. He is as fake as Peggy’s face. Let’s hope Phil and grant turn up at reunion to have a word….

  3. the cast this year are pretty ugly - who on that cast is actually authentically attractive? Adrienne with her make up off? Scary…same with all the girls. Also some of the cast knew each other before going in (George’s on podcast) so I genuinely think the whole thing is made up.

let’s just buy some chochokate and wait for Aussie one

See, I still don't feel sorry. Well, I do, but I don't. It's more like karma
