The Ex-Wife is a four-part series that begins on Channel 5 on Sunday 15 October at 9pm with each episode airing weekly at the same for the Autumn 2023 season. This drama was previously released on streaming service Paramount Plus on Wednesday October 12 2022. All3Media distributed internationally.

Tasha, played by Céline Buckens, appears to have everything, from her loving husband Jack (Sleepy Hollow’s Tom Mison) and their beautiful daughter Emily to their gorgeous home and seemingly perfect life.

The only problem is Jack’s ever-present ex-wife Jen, played by Janet Montgomery, calls him constantly and refuses to sever ties with his family.

But when it all comes crashing down, Tasha is left with no choice but to turn to Jen, the woman she despises, for help.

The Ex-Wife follows Tasha (Céline Buckens), who appears to lead the perfect life. The only fly in the ointment is her husband Jack’s ex-wife who is an ever-constant presence, speaking to Jack nightly and always turning up to family functions.

Then, one day Tasha returns home to find Jack (Tom Mison) and their daughter Emily missing and, at her wit’s end, she has no choice but to ask Jen (Janet Montgomery) for help. But the pair have never seen eye-to-eye, so can Tasha really trust Jack’s ex?

I saw this advertised a while back but as I don’t have paramount couldn’t see it

I enjoyed that! Looking forward to next week already. Didnt like the house though - the total opposite of homely!

But that’s the whole premise Blondes, the EX wife. I mean, I’m questioning if they’re actually really divorced, but I guess he’d want no complications as to his parental rights. The scene where Emily and Jen are missing in the shop gave me the chills. Actually a lot gave me the chills, just what was it that Sam slipped into his pocket when he went back for the rabbit?

On the one hand love that house, it’s SO stylish. On the other hand, in reality all the levels and all that glass totally unnerves me. Once it gets dark, I like all the windows covered and to feel safe at home.

Seeing the christening scenes, especially Jen in the photo with Jack and Emily and the end of the episode, it feels like a married couple’s plot, but reading the opening post here, there’s obviously more to it than that.

Maybe going to make her go mad /die and steal her baby and then jen become mummy

I missed the first minute or two, might have to rewatch. Thanks for the recap.

One twist already is that he told Tasha that it was Jen with fertility problems and then it turned out to be him. Very odd plot thickens thing 🤨

Just watched. I'd totally missed the opening. So Tasha and Jen are in different cars. Jen is a passenger in the car with cream leather upholstery and Jen, who seems to have a big graze on her forehead is driving. Her car has dark upholstery. This takes place at night and over a distance where the driving is erratic and others are sounding their horns. We hear the good and bad people monologue, then we see Jen's vehicle crashed and Emily's rabbit discarded on the back seat. It would seem to indicate the back seat of Jen's car, but who knows for sure. Tash is standing alone in the road at the scene, Jen is injured and unconscious at least.

After that we start the back story and the present day stuff that makes up most of the story.

Guessing they did get divorced tho quickly if they've been married a year and baby is 6/8mths at a guess as sitting uo

So must have got divorced in 3mths and married 3mths ish as would have been 3/4preg when married if been married a year and Emily is 6ish months

The main actress was very good in ' show trial ' earlier this year on bbc one
I enjoyed this, but it seems another series pretending to be in the UK , yet filmed in Europe somewhere ? I liked the house , but the dark interior looked oppressive. Normally it's all light or grey these days , but that had a 70s feel.
Was that Jen with the husband at the end? Or someone else?

Jack said he and Jen had been trying to get pregnant for years but the problem lay with her and then it turned out it was him . But Tasha became pregnant the first time she and Jack had sex . Nobody seems to have questioned that .

There's something going on with Sam as we don't know why/what he took from the bedroom ,, expect we'll find out !

I thought sam was her brother ? He isn't.
I clearly wasn't paying attention and missed the bit at the beginning as well ( only saw a moment of it)
