TV couples with zero chemistry

watching Emmerdale and wondering why they put Jai and Laurel together as a couple; zero chemistry. Thinking of other TV couples with no spark or connection:
Eastenders: Denise and Jack
Corrie: Dev and Billy’s mum
Dev’s son and new older girlfriend

Frances and Nick in Conversations with Friends.

Obviously a rush job after Normal People.

Bit of an old one, but Hamish Macbeth ( Robert Carlyle as a police officer on a Scottish island)- he and Isobel were the oddest love match; didn’t even seem convincing as vaguely liking each other

This deffo isn't right considering they got together irl!

I was saying she and Spike belonged together and had chemistry unlike her and Angel. Spike was the one who understood Buffy. appreciated her for exactly who she was.

Monica and Chandler.

Jimmy Perez (Shetland) and final girlfriend, absolutely zero chemistry

Oh I like them. Can't see Dana sue and Ronnie tho

Oh definitely. Though this may be because Matthew is the world’s least believable character.

This might be a bit obscure but Amber and Jay from The Tribe

Dushane and Shelley in Top Boy. They're like brother and sister.

Harry Potter had more chemistry with Hermoine than with Ginny.

Brianna and Roger from Outlander.

I think Mel and Jack in Virgin River do have chemistry but Lizzie and Denny do not.

And agree with vicar of dibley (and husband). I thought she and David had the potential to be comedy gold as a couple.

So much chemistry! That fight/fuck scene is one of my favourites. But I don’t think they belonged together either. Agree that he understood her, and I think he helped her understand herself. But they weren’t good for each other, too toxic, couldn’t ever really be happy with each other. SMG and JM were definitely great to watch together though. Never got the Angel thing either.

Hard for trixie to have chemistry with a wooden block. I really hope she has a happy ending so sorry he's leaving in a way but man, he was hard work.

I never really got to grips with Mary and Henry in downton abbey. Maybe it's because I couldn't get past Matthews death

John Torode and Lisa Faulkner. First time I saw that cooking show they do I was convinced somebody was going to be sacked for pairing those two wooden cooks who clearly hated each other and had zero chemistry…. Only to be told by DH that they were married!

They don’t really have chemistry in the book either.
