I’ve been on catch up. As was unable to watch the first few episodes. But am currently catching up. Please feel free to share any opinions, goss and updates here!!

Laura l has a house in Portsmouth/Southsea I read . It's not a very pretentious place, v down to earth and honest. Arthur would fit right in!

It strikes me you can tell so much about the intentions of the contestants by their social media profiles. It seems Laura is just another wannabee vacuous influencer, desperate to get on Made in Chelsea. To infer she was in the programme looking for love is clearly rubbish. IMO she knew from the beginning her and Arthur wouldn't work out but stuck with it seemingly desperate for the exposure. Arthur is not much better it seems, positioning himself as a male model. He does have an innocent quality about him.. the plain speaking perhaps?

I despair this year. Mostly young influencers just wanting exposure and freebies, the worst.

Yes. Laura treated it like Arthur deserved it but he seems genuine. A bit of an idiot at times but no malice I could detect. She could have let him down more gently. She and her friends have come across as cold, bitchy and wanna be. They have all been watching too much MinC.

Their most recent Instagram posts are quite telling. Arthur's is very nice about Laura and Laura's is very nice about Laura too, she makes quite the list about how great she is. The only positive mention he gets is when she says that she meant it when she said that Arthur is perfect for someone (ouch, that's a bit of a non-compliment) and the only other mention he gets is that they grew apart. Arthur in contrast only says he is proud of himself for taking part and is then pretty honest about his failings. For all the criticism he got, for his poor communication, he seems to have "judged the room" far more accurately than she has!

Personally, I think that Georges is dumbing himself down...
It wouldn't surprise me if he is quite wealthy ...

It is a bit confusing ref Ella who goes to the final vows blonde again. From what the clip showed.

As Laura pointed out “The house in the south of France would be nice”. There’s a lot of family money there I reckon.

I also think that Arthur dumbed himself down.
I have read somewhere that he has coached some good players. Anyone who coaches needs to be able to communicate...
Maybe he and Georges have been brought up that it's I'll mannered to brag...

I'm not sure that Georges is an " Ordinary" bloke. He went to boarding school and there's a "House in France" lurking somewhere in the background!

Ironically Peggy and family weren't so smart.
I noticed that Georges didn't say that he'd try to keep Peggy in the mannerto which she was accustomed, he said that he WOULD. LOL.

I think Georges is a not so secret millionaire and Pegs will be kicking herself when it comes out. Not very bright is princess peg.

I wonder why Laura's home visit wasn't in her own home? She and her friends were horrible to Arthur about the fact he had given up his flat, but Laura has kept very quiet about her own place.

It's pretty clear Laura's, tried to get in the Made In Chelsea set via dating one of the cast once, but I bet never got screen time and now thinks she's been on reality her and her mates will be swept up no day. Wouldn't surprise me if she is renting her place out down Southsea hence not visiting there and going to try and get a place in Shoreditch or somewhere , so she can be open for opportunities.

I bet like George she gave no sex either, as she made up the croc tears each week about how Arthur turned up each day, which the fakesperts lapped up remember. Can see him being sent to the sofa each night unless cameras were there lol.

My other half pointed out. It was always interesting how when crap hit the fan she was there with a cup of tea, was it because she cared of wanted to show MIC and other reality she could do consoling. Was clearly when she clicked on after when I grow we grow apart her eye glinted into the real Laura full on bitch / drama mode.

You did see inside her flat right at the beginning of the series and last night (maybe) but the external shots (with her dog) look more like London except when she is jogging as that looked like Milton Common Portsmouth. I say maybe as you can't see out the windows so maybe a set? She and her dog wore matching jumpers 😏

Going off topic a bit: a friend of mine was in a Channel 4 reality programme a looong time ago and they came to their house weeks before filming and photographed the main interiors and then turned up at the crack of dawn on the day of filming and 'dressed' her house replacing pictures, ornaments and furniture. She was edited as the 'posh' one due to her job, although she isn't really, she is down to earth and relatable. Before filming she always had her hair and make up done and she assumed everyone else did too, but found out later that it was only her. During her solo interviews she was taken to an affluent looking location about 10 miles away from her home so that there would be the appropriate posh background. Her home is actually in a pretty village anyway, but obviously wasn't posh enough. She also said it went on for hours, early am to very late pm - they all became friends as they spent so long together when things were being set up or when one of them was off being interviewed. For a few years afterwards they would occasionally contact her to ask if she wanted to be in other reality shows.

I am now certain that the 'cast' are not writing their renewal vows,(put money on the fact Peggy didn't write hers, it was very unPeggylike). They obviously give the framework and then it is rejigged for drama (But...).

Ella did a completel 180. I have a sneaky suspicion that hers was the one that they let her know that JJ was pulling out, so she could do the same to save face because being rejected isn't part of her "story". I wasn't sure what she and her friend were talking about when they said she shouldn't have to change for someone as the/her party line has been throughout that JJ completely accepted her as she was and she had never had that before. He just asked her not be be a nasty and disrespectful drunk - fair enough.

The next dinner party looks like an absolute shtshow. I am very surprised that they have allowed Porsha, Brad and Luke back into the mix. Apparently Luke has been banned from the six month on dinner party. Jordan has taken to SM to explain that Luke is stirring things up vindictively to cause tension in his relationship and that he hasn't cheated. Jordan can be annoying but he has always been straight and honest (a bit too much at times) and obviously he has been vocal about cheating. This would be a very hurtful but effective way to get back at him because he will be sensitive about it. Luke is coming across as a nasty piece of work now and I really liked him initially. Jordan seems to have genuine MH struggles and I think I am going to find Lukes baiting of him uncomfortable viewing. Methinks this will be my last year of watching MAFS UK and I have watched it from series one. Too false, too ramped up and too cruel at times.

I think the person walking in alone will be Peggy - her decision to "stay and continue their journey" was probably very short lived as it is pretty obvious they aren't together (although in she makes it sound like they are on her instagram) unless she has got over her horror of Georges doing squats. They do seem to still be friendly towards each other.

Just want to wish Paul all the luck in the World - I think he is going to need it! Interesting that his parent's opinions weren't shown especially his Mum's.

What's happened to the big drama with Paul and Tasha? It was in the news last week that it was going to be the biggest bombshell. I was hoping he would bin her at the alter 😂

I hate that I feel so compelled to finish watching. I feel a bit grubby. It’s always been a bit like that. But this series I just feel wrong. But I can’t stop!!!

Mothership4two that’s a really interesting insight. Not surprising I guess. A friend of mine was part of a documentary for the BBC. They were very careful with her and gave her full control over the final edit. Not the same genre but a very different attitude by the sounds of it.

Watching it feels a bit like the same feeling as when I eat Nutella straight from the jar! It’s compelling and I feel like I need to do it and want to do it. But the experience feels kind of empty and wrong. Not as enjoyable as I thought it would be’
