My teenager has turned off Buffy part way through the episode where Joyce dies and has decided he isn't watching it again.

I remember when Will died in the Good Wife feeling quite depressed afterwards.

Duffy in Casualty (also last week with Gethin) and everyone who died in It’s a Sin - what a brilliant series.

This stuck with me too for a while. The silence whilst her dad was running to her. Really didn't see that coming, as I thought it was definitely going to have back fired and be the psycho girlfriend that died.

I was the same - I was a bit younger but my older sister and me were really upset!

The mentions of It’s a Sin. This was so harrowing. I started watching it with no idea what it was about I thought it was going to be a light comedy. Really well done and thought provoking.

Lisa Faulkner's character wasnt it, so unexpected because she was a reasonably famous actor at that time and for her to be dispatched so quickly and brutally was shocking.

Gemma in byker grove was electrocuted.

Jude in casualty (she was stabbed).

And omg the actual heartbreak of Jamie being run over and killed by Martin fowler on Christmas Day... how Sonia then married him I just can't even...

This one! The music..the shots of her face and of the ground..urghh.

Jin and Sun...they had a daughter.. had just reunited and then bam drowned together

Matthew in Downton on Xmas day was brutal.

It was known that the actor was leaving, though, wasn't it? So not a total shock.

Arthur in Merlin also died that Christmas. My mother watched both, and she said what depressing viewing it was for Christmas.

Rita in Dexter, absolutely shocking! Dexter wasn't the same after that, and I soon stopped watching

007 in Greys, I was heavily pregnant when I watched his death and I cried so hard I sounded like one of those screaming goats according to my friend I was sat with at the time! 😂

Snape, Sirius, Lupin and Tonks, DOBBY - Christ, Dobby's death was painful.

Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, mostly thanks to Dustin, first when Eddie says to him "I think it's finally my year, I love ya man" then when he tells Eddie's Uncle how he died and says "he could have saved himself but he fought. Fought and died to protect this town. This town that hated him. He isn't just innocent Mr Munson he's a hero." Both Dds and I genuinely sob every time, DH is slightly baffled that it still catches us.

No I agree, he was an utter dick to Meredith, but the scene where she tells everyone and then collapses, and the following scenes where Alex is constantly ringing her to try and find her breaks my heart every time!

Came here to say this. That one got me!! He was the good guy, he deserved better 😭
Also the young police officer who gets run over by dastardly TLR in Happy Valley, that was sickening.
