Late to the party. I Loved loved LOVED this series so much. So weird and unsettling and mind bendy.

So many unanswered questions.

I think I will personally go and stalk Ben Stiller for an answer about what the numbers are about if we don’t get a season 2.

Did anyone else watch it?

I wasnt convinced it was Helena as she has such a different demeanor to Helly. She did a good impression of her 😄

Wasn't so keen on episode 4 although it was beautifully shot.

Interesting to hear from the composer on the podcast.

How long a time period is it supposed to have been over by now (I've not started S2). If it's the north east coast of the US then winter can be quite a few months.

It’s set in the fictional state of PE, nobody knows what that’s short for.

When s2 starts, milchick tells Mark it's been 5 months since the 'incident'. It definitely wasn't though.
what I really hope is that they've planned the story out properly to the end and don't just start making it up as they go along.

I loved how Irvine figured out the Helena/Helly switch; “Helly was never cruel”, and how he knew the instant she switched back and started cradling her and apologising. What does this mean for Mark, that he slept with the outie without noticing? Awkward 😬

Also, how did Irv know Milcheck’s first name?

I too really hope the creators know exactly where this is going. The last series I watched that generated this level of intrigue and speculation was Lost, and we all know how that turned out.

I have the same concerns as you re: Lost

Funnily enough, I was watching episode 4 thinking it had overtones of Lost and was also hoping it wouldn't go that way!

Hopefully the next episode will be a return to form.

The actress who plays Helly is so good - such slight differences in facial expressions between Helly and Helena, but so cleverly done to reflect the different characters.

I hope we see more of Irving. His outie was already doing some kind of investigation, and Burt was watching him in the previous episode, so you'd think they have to come back to that at some point. And they surely have to make more use of Christopher Walken this season, other than for a couple of 5 second appearances!

I refuse to buy into this Lost business and have high hopes that it wont go that way - I have great faith in Ben Stiller 😄

Ive started re-watching season 1 too to pick up bits I missed the first time around. The first episode is fantastic in the way it sets everything up and explains the whole situation so succinctly. It's just chef's kiss

Yes! I think outie Irvine knows a lot. I need to watch the final episode of season 1 again and pay more attention to what his innie found at the house.

On reflection, I think Helena laughing at the Dieter Egan story was such a giveaway that she was the outie. The innies have a childlike innocence/gullibility that lets them accept all the Egan mythology nonsense without question.

The story was creepy though, along with “twins” that kept appearing in the distance then vanishing again, and the horrible tiny witch thing in Irv’s dream.

I read they do know how it ends, so hopefully no Lost shenanigans

I've been listening to the podcast and it's really interesting to hear how it all developed. And they (Ben and Adam) are very entertaining. I like the way they laugh at the ridiculousness of a lot of it.
