Late to the party. I Loved loved LOVED this series so much. So weird and unsettling and mind bendy.

So many unanswered questions.

I think I will personally go and stalk Ben Stiller for an answer about what the numbers are about if we don’t get a season 2.

I did. It was WEIRD but very good.

I want to rewatch it just for the set design and cinematography. I love films and tv series where behind the acting and screen play a group of clever people have sat down and really thought about how to design a space for 4 desks that is as unsettling as possible, without crossing the line into absurdity.
I bet someone specifically chose that shade of green they use in the carpets because it’s not a restful shade of green.

@EileenBrysonsTeabags I'm even later to the party! Only just watched it and binged it all in a week. It's so good! Brilliantly creepy. I love the off-kilter theme tune and you're right about the set being as far as possible into unsettling without crossing the line. The corridor into the break room for example.
I immediately googled for a second series and it seems one is due in early 2025 so at least the advantage of being a year behind everyone else watching it is that I don't have to wait so long for series 2!

Brilliant series, I think it's one of the best shows ever made.

DH and I absolutely loved it and have been waiting SO long for S2- excited to hear one is coming soon! I think I’ll have to rewatch S1 in preparation. Can’t say that’ll be a hardship!

One of the best shows produced by a streamer. Bloody well can't wait to see season two. Sooo many questions.

Also: Adam Scott's face is very Uncanny Valley in the lift close ups. Suits the show but it is borderline distracting. Can't decide if it's make up/camera angles or if he's had some (dodgy) work done.

I watched episode 1 series 2. I think it's going to get really interesting, but for now I'm confused.

Why did the other innies not come back when Mark did? Did they really have a say or where they being held back? I thought the outies decided on that.

Baffled so far! Think it's fair to say anything they have been told so far is going to be a lie. Is it really 5 months later for example?

Also thought it was a brilliant touch to have Milchick struggling to get the welcome message changed on his computer - even in a dystopian world, IT support is a law unto itself.

That Milchick scene really made me laugh. And their boss being a girl.

I loved Season 1 and I’m waiting to binge watch 2 episodes on Friday (why can’t apple release them all at once! Grrr), so I will come back after and read this thread.

I think that the other innies didn't come back because once the scandal broke their outties (now knowing how the innies were being treated) refused to re-enter.

Mark was the only one with a reason to go back - to find his wife.

When Marks innie refused to work with the replacement staff some sort of negotiation/blackmail/bribery must have gone on to get the other outties to agree.

The lobby being different ie the new painting would suggest that perhaps some time had passed between Marks refusal and everyone coming back.
