Late to the party. I Loved loved LOVED this series so much. So weird and unsettling and mind bendy.

So many unanswered questions.

I think I will personally go and stalk Ben Stiller for an answer about what the numbers are about if we don’t get a season 2.

Did anyone else watch it?

Oh yessss! Love John Tuturro. I just don’t feel Irv’s story is finished either. There are so many questions about him that need answering.

yes… one being how his outie was painting that corridor, afaik before the innie had found it.

Has anyone taken a look at Apple’s website recently? I’ve attached a screenshot Grin

@Kebabbky have you watched Silo or Sugar on Apple? Might be worth a look.

Thanks Jewel but already watched and enjoyed!

Just finished S2 and avoided threads on here just in case.

Loved it. Thought the ending was good, although would love another series.

We finally got around to watching the last episode last night. It was brilliant, but made me so sad for Gemma; after all she’d been through, she had to watch her husband run off (literally!) with another woman without understanding that it wasn’t really him. Where can they possibly go with the story now?

Other thoughts; I now understand why goat lady was played by Gwendolyn Christie. No other woman could have believably taken down Drummond! The only other example of ‘Jame’ being used instead of ‘James’ is the killer from Silence of the Lambs, which makes him even creepier.

ErrolTheDragon · 01/04/2025 14:42

Id have thought Gemma would have realised that was Mark’s innie - she’d been going through a whole series of severances herself.

EasternStandard · 01/04/2025 15:20

I’m still thinking about it. Loved the last episode.

The Mark conversation with himself, the innie had a total dud deal he wouldn’t really exist his memories would just be added to the outie.

Loved the goat saviour, and the last visuals of Mark and Helly running down the corridor.

Milchick was brilliant but I don’t know why he couldn’t open door against Helly but could against vending machine and Dylan.

Slight question there otherwise brilliant.

MrsFrumble · 01/04/2025 15:32

Would Gemma know that Mark was severed and working for Lumon though? I thought the creepy doctor had told her he’d moved on and had a baby with someone else 😭

I thought the conversation between innie and outie Mark via video camera was brilliant. Outie Mark’s dawning realisation that innie Mark wouldn’t just do whatever he was told, and did just want to reintegrate was so well played.

I’m waiting for Milchick to completely snap in the next series. He must be so fed up with the innies rebelling and the put downs from Lumon management; Drummond being condescending, the paintings of black Keir, and even the apparently-sentient animatronic mocking his verbosity (what the hell was that monstrosity? SO creepy). And no one appreciated his amazing choreography!

ErrolTheDragon · 01/04/2025 15:51

Well I should think Gemma would be able to figure it out.

I can’t imagine Millchick being very upset by Drummond’s demise!

Goldenthigh · 01/04/2025 16:58

I have to say I thought the acting from all of them was amazing, but I really love Milchick and his choreography! It was his big moment! Ruined by Helly 😆

Very good point about Gwendoline being able to take down Drummond, possibly Hannah Waddingham is the only other woman I can think of who would be convincing enough.
Im mid-way through rewatching the second series, looking forward to the insanity of the finale again.

Sorry I am late to the party, just finished season 2 last night. Can anybody explain what the brain surgery in Mark's basement was supposed to achieve? I was expecting his two halves to integrate or at least have memories crossing over but if they had, he wouldn't have had to step in and out of the birthing cabin with a video camera, and his innie would have known Gemma.

TheCourseOfTheRiverChanged · 23/04/2025 13:03

I'm not sure. I thought at one point the process of reintegration must have been set in motion with the surgery but was going to take who knows how long. But that's not consistent with the conversation Mark's innie and outie have. They both talk as if reintegration is a possibility, not a certainty (that outie wants to happen and Innie doesn't).
We don't actually know if the woman who did the surgery was telling the truth about what she was doing. She had shady motivations of her own (sorry, drawing a blank on her name).

RockaLock · 23/04/2025 19:14

I think they stopped the reintegration surgery/process before it had fully worked, didn’t they?

Mark was getting a few flashes of memories, but when Devon found out what was going on, and when Mark collapsed, they put a stop to going any further with it. So it was a partial process, and didn’t work.

Bhockminsister · 30/04/2025 11:46

This series started really well but the plot lost its way half way through the second season.

I’m still confused by it all and I won’t be buying into season three.

TheCourseOfTheRiverChanged · 30/04/2025 15:06

I think it's a bit of a mash up between a plot driven suspense thriller and absurdist farce.
If I'm honest I'm here for the absurdism (❤Milchick❤). But I hope the plot has a real conclusion and not a Lost style nonsense.

Bhockminsister · 01/05/2025 01:23

Yes Milchick is a legend.
