Chat away to your heart’s content about invisible quads, terrible children’s clothing designs that are apparently groundbreaking, Stephen’s bizarre whispering and much more!

Thanks for new thread and as always, great title!

I like new-head Ruby, looks like she can sing/dance and I guess her talents will be displayed at Little Hot Shots (or whatever it's called), just want her to get the measure of her sister Hope!

Got me thinking, who else has had a new-head? Todd, Tracey, Addy - anyone else?

JellyBeanFactory · 13/08/2023 10:32

Max.

FeltCarrot · 13/08/2023 10:55

David, Sarah Lou.

FeltCarrot · 13/08/2023 10:55

Adam.

FeltCarrot · 13/08/2023 10:57

Watching Classic Corrie and seeing teenage Sarah and Adam together little knowing they’d end up married (and divorced) 😂

Findyourneutralspace · 13/08/2023 10:58

Nicks had a new head

Nick’s on head number three and Peter’s on number seven!

I know she comes from a troubled background but I wish they’d give Lauren a new face. I’m irritated by her constant scowl and miserable attitude. Between her miserable face and Max’s unnaturally smiley face I’m sick of the pair of them.

Sharonspleatherleggings · 13/08/2023 11:32

Thanks for the new thread.
Love the title!

AutumnCrow · 13/08/2023 11:46

Thanking you, @WomanStanleyWoman2 for another sprinkle of genius over the thread title.

Jenny should do a 'bottomless brunch' at weekends. They seem endemically popular elsewhere on MN. A vat of cheap prosecco and some token pastries from Roy's Rolls ... ker-ching.

eggandonion · 13/08/2023 12:07

A bottomless brunch would be excellent.

I hope this thread will have lots of amazing episodes to discuss. Thank you for setting it up.
I liked old corrie but have to admit to enjoying the current carry on corrie they have created.

Thanks for the new thread !
I really should be doing some housework...but ....ooppps...I just seemed to have open my phone instead 🤣🤣.

One thing (of many) that has been bugging me about the quads is...

If one of my nearly 4 year old started screaming crying ...I would not just roll my eyes and say ...oh here we go again....
I would be up there like a shot thinking they had pulled the wardrobe on top of themselves or something !

Admittedly it has been a while since I had 4 year olds ..but...

Do they wake up crying like little babies ??🤔🤔.

Findyourneutralspace · 13/08/2023 11:02

And just in case you’ve forgotten what happened to old Nick…

I had the biggest crush on him in the 90s BlushGrin

Helendegenerate · 13/08/2023 13:07

Perfect thread title 😁

Having 4 children aged 4 would surely mean a house full of chatter. Assuming they can all talk?!

Ok I know one is deaf but even so...😐

I feel sorry Joseph. He doesn't look like a happy little lad at all. 😕

AutumnCrow · 13/08/2023 13:13

Maybe there's a Newton and Ridley scholarship programme for backstreet kids that sends children to Henry's old boarding school from an unusually young age.

It can have a special 'residential nurturing nursery prep department'. Gemma and Chesney can pretend to be concerned about the idea for ten seconds, and then be fine about it.

And forever after:

'How are the kids?'

'Oh they're doing absolutely great, ta. Champion.'

'Oh that's brilliant. Kebab and chips please.'

The end.

WomanStanleyWoman2 · 13/08/2023 13:39

I love it @AutumnCrow. I reckon we could write this shit between us 😄

I think the writers have forgotten that the quads are nearly 4 and are quite capable of bringing themselves downstairs if they wake up...
Someone on the last thread mentioned the possibiity of a Newton & Ridley having a "creche" - but I'm still waiting for Gemma to be proscuted for running an illegal creche of her own. I guess the writers have forgotten about that, too! 🙄

TheFifthTellytubby · 13/08/2023 14:59

Also from the last thread:

WomanStanleyWoman2 · Today 10:17
Yes, I think it was long overdue for her to start “concentrating on her schoolwork”.

Whenever I see this excuse given for a child actor leaving, I always wonder if it means the new actor is going to completely ditch school...? 🙄😂

Shurleyknot · 13/08/2023 14:59

The quads living upstairs is reminding me of Flowers in the attic.

Gemma has had to be 'upped' so we would all believe her and newton were believable but unless he had a fetish for a bit of rough I am not seeing it. And her as a PA with that accent and her vast inexperience is the most implausible thing.

Maybe he sees her as something of a "project" - a bit like Professor Higgins and Eliza Dolittle? 🤔😁

ajandjjmum · 13/08/2023 17:31

I could see Daisy being his PA - she obviously doesn't appeal to him!

NCTDN · 13/08/2023 18:08

I agree - Gemma and Henry are just a hilarious prospect!! As if he use her as a PA!!
I do love how Jenny puts her hair up.

Summermeadowflowers · 13/08/2023 18:19

Increasingly, I’m watching it and having no idea what happened!
