Chat away to your heart’s content about invisible quads, terrible children’s clothing designs that are apparently groundbreaking, Stephen’s bizarre whispering and much more!

OMG !!
Gemma/Eliza Doolittle would be amazing .....I think !

Can you imagine Gemma at the races when her horse is winning stuffing a load of food in her mouth with a pint of Newton's fine ale !

did anyone notice she mentioned eating with her mouth open when she was talking to Henry !!

nildesparandum · 13/08/2023 20:20

The quads must be one of the most unbelievable storylines ever on Corrie and that is saying something.
As for Gemma as a PA, words fail me.

Summermeadowflowers · 13/08/2023 20:29

They could easily have just had twins …

TheFifthTellytubby · 13/08/2023 17:30

Maybe he sees her as something of a "project" - a bit like Professor Higgins and Eliza Dolittle? 🤔😁

Didn't he originally go out with her for a bet?

bizzey · 13/08/2023 22:26

Ohh yes .
Maybe he feels bad about that now and wants to make amends ??

I really don't want Henry to turn out to be a baddie knobhead !

Getupat8amnow · 13/08/2023 23:09

Agreed, the quad storyline is a mistake.

bizzey · 14/08/2023 00:23

5 years ago a young new writer came up with a wonderful idea if quads...
Unfortunately he forgot to tell all the other writers about his idea and run it passed them.

4 years later ...said new young writer has gone off to pastures new ...
and the rest of the writers are going ...
Quads !
What !
What am I supposed to do with them ?

Oh I know...they can be a mix of crying new borns and Stepford children...
That will do ..

Ohh and we have a cupboard if we struggle !!

bizzey · 14/08/2023 00:27

Ohh and we will add a stair gate that is always open just to remind people that there are children in the house !

who would probably climb over it anyway even if it was properly closed !

AutumnCrow · 14/08/2023 00:48

I think in my extended family the usual age of climbing over stair gates quite easily was around 2-3 years old. And once one does it, and another sees it ...

Agreed - I can't see that stairgate serving any purpose now that Gemma is no longer childminding!

Heliotroper · 14/08/2023 15:38

I wonder how long they can go on for with the quads in one room? Is Joseph in there too? Bernie?

I predict they will go for the totally unimaganitve lottery win and they will move to the other side of the street.

AutumnCrow · 14/08/2023 15:49

It'll definitely be unimaginative, yes.

Henry: Oh hello, Gemma, you're here for your first day at work. I know we have never discussed a salary or anything remotely practical like that, but I was thinking £150k per annum for 30 hours a week?

Gemma: Oh, 'Enry, that's amazin. Now me n Ches can buy that big 'ouse over t' road by next Thursday.

TheFifthTellytubby · 14/08/2023 18:26

Apart from causing me to spit my tea out, @AutumnCrow 's post has reminded me that Professor Higgins was also called 'Enry...!

JMSA · 14/08/2023 18:45

In real life, men would only have eyes for Daisy.
I mean, come on. There's not a bloke alive who'd prefer Gemma.

Yes I find it very irritating

Usually one of them will be ill and Aled's regular appointments with deaf clinic would have an impact.when do they shop and clean and how do 8 of them live in the house with one bathroom

TellingBone · 14/08/2023 20:08

'I know! Let's put the show on in the big barn!'

Shades of Mickey Rooney.

NCTDN · 14/08/2023 20:37

Gemma desperately needs a haircut!

Shurleyknot · 14/08/2023 20:40

And elocution lessons.

TellingBone · 14/08/2023 20:54

This Lauren story is so well observed.

CyanCrystalViolet · 14/08/2023 21:04

Why was Peter hanging around the factory all day?

Why was Lou’s kid just wandering around on his own?

What was the point of ditching the tie pin? The police already have evidence of it.

Has Stephen got any LSD left? If not, how will he procure some more? I didn’t think anybody really did LSD these days anyway.

I’m thinking she’s a closet curly girl and needs those curls to pop ! 🤣

Shurleyknot · 14/08/2023 21:29

Oh Lauren :(

Heliotroper · 14/08/2023 22:07

How old is Lauren? I am guessing about the same age as Max who is 16. Roy did seems bit daft. He could have just pointed out that Nina would be there too.
