Evelyn's daughter Cassie was an addict, so Evelyn left Tyrone on the steps of a police station because she was trying to get Cassie clean and didn't think they could cope with a baby too. Jackie Dobbs (played by Margi Clarke) found him and raised him as her own.

When Jackie died Tyrone was informed she wasn't his biological mother. He tracked down Evelyn who told him his real mother had moved to South Africa and died there. Evelyn assumed she had died because she hadn't heard from her in years.

Cassie then turns up, back from SA (we didn't see this, only Evelyn going to "visit" friends) and Evelyn then tried to get Cassie clean over (again) so that she could meet Tyrone and the girls eventually

But Cassie jumped the gun and spilled the beans to Tyrone at the show that she is his real mother and Evelyn's daughter.

Now we'll get two sides of the story and have to decide who is telling the truth about everything!

Continuity error there. Cassie cleaning when Ty comes in. Cut to break. Next shot Cassie has a jacket on and a bag over her shoulder.

I used to love Corrie but I can't relate to all the drug stories. Wouldn't Ryan still be on medication after his accident? Did Debbie Webster manage to sort out her finances after near bankruptcy? Just the person you want to get financial advice about stocks and shares from!

I loved Roy when he pointed out to Evelyn that she never shows remorse. It was him at his understated best and considering the fact that she stole a child from its mother and abandoned it for anyone to pick up he really should be phoning the police.

Drug stories are the worst, this one looks incredibly predictable down to the identikit 'druggie' outfit Cassie sports.

I noticed that too especially as I watch on catchup and no ads!

The Newton & Ridley "takeover" is pants. Assume it's a vehicle for one - or both - of the Bailey Brothers (which always reminds me of Its a Wonderful Life where the bank went broke!) losing all the money they've just made.

I like new-head Ruby, she has some great expressions.

So what is with the Cassie drug storyline?

In the flat with Evelyn she said she wasn't taking pregabalin any more....and low and behold she has a pack in her bag .
And never did explain what she did with the money she took from Evelyn.

Is it all going to end in tears....with everyone being horrible to Evelyn...but in fact ....she was right all along ?
