Watched it this morning! Fantastic stuff.

Yes apart from Ken and Deirdre over the years I honestly think the Richard Hillman saga was the best Corrie script ever written.

I'm a few days behind. So besides all the murdering! Wtf Richard. He goes and buys a car and a house without consulting Gail!!

Ooh is today the thrilling deneoument? I don't remember Richard admitting to killing Maxine, it's very exciting 😂 but I do remember the next bit.

And who has their farewell party before they’ve even put their house on the market? 😄

I never thought I would stop watching Coronation Street. Watched it for decades and stayed with it until a couple of years ago and it got so bad, I switched it off. I adore Classic Corrie, the great actors and the funny and sad storylines. I watch it avidly each night. Richard Hillman about to confess all to Gail! Still as fresh as when it was first broadcast.

It's so good isn't it? I'd forgotten about the line about Richard being Norman Bates with a briefcase. 😆

I got one of them baths with taps in the middle not long after this. I think of thet line when I have a bath !

Also. Surely the police would have waited until the following morning before starting digging

Shame Richard was a psycho with a briefcase as I quite liked him and will miss him. Gail can’t half pick ‘em

I got rid of my bath with the taps in the middle, couldn't top it up with hot water without scalding my leg ! 😁

Only our dog uses the bath... it works well for him! Schmeichel in the whirlpool bath is my favourite memory.

So much to enjoy in those episodes. Some great little touches amongst the drama. I loved David saying “She’ll not do better than him; not at her age” in his world-weary way 😄 and Karen champing at the bit to tell Norris all the gossip!

Absolutely loving Corrie at the moment. It's a class act. Characters feel rounded and their conversations seem genuine. I've given up on new Corrie. They all seem to gurn and over act. I wonder if the actors who have been in it for yonks look back wistfully. Peter Barlow used to have some amazing storylines. Now it's some crap about up cycling. Steve McDonald is reduced to pulling bizzare faces in every scene he's in now. Tracy Barlow used to be feared. Now she's a background character. And poor Gail. Her character is a shadow of its self. Same as the show really. What a shame.

Totally agree. You’re so right about Steve, Peter and Tracey. And also sally who’s turned into a comedy sex mad wannabe posh woman. I always think they ruined Gail, sally and even dev actually. When dev first joined he wasn’t such a farcical character but now he’s just there for us to laugh at.

A bit odd they are considering Audrey’s to be a safe house - the one he had keys to a set fire to.

Just thinking about Peter Barlows love life, am right in thinking he ends up committing bigamy??

I’m a week behind too, just watched Sunita nearly break her ankle running across the cobbles when Ciaran was being arrested. Ouch!
