Pleased for Lizzie. I think she's got a good eye and she's had a very strong week.

Oh poor Maria had a bad week.

So pleased for Lizzie. Her boubou was beautiful

I liked Maria’s boubou better than the posties, but she did seem like she was starting to struggle. I love the boubou as a garment - so elegant and comfy. The opposite of bodycon 😁

I've just realised my mum had a boubou style dress she wore to parties in the 1970s. I bet she still has it

She has a daughter at university so probably not on maternity leave. She must have done the same as Clare in 2020 whatever that was. I suppose they all have jobs and need to make arrangements.

I might be on my own but I think Lizzie's boubou was hideous. I'm know it was personal to her but I hated the colours and it just looked so sack-like compared to others. I didn't get the ruching at the front.

I thought Lizzie’s boubou looked like a tent. I loved the one that Tony (not the postman) made, the one with the dark feather pattern.

Has anyone been inspired this year? I'm doing a bag but I went for one without instructions and I'm getting VERY confused!

PriamFarrl I actually thought that Tony's feather dress was a bit dull, until the model started walking and then I absolutely loved it. It moved so dramatically.

I didn't really like Lizzie's boubou, it was the obvious stitching at the front - which I know was intentional - that did it for me. Or didn't do it. I'm that she's staying after a not too good week last week because she was pretty strong this week.

I thought Tony two specs might go this week because he had a bit of a mare but I'm glad he didn't. There was a lovely woman who went last year, I can't remember her name but she'd been in the army or the TA and was a really good sewer but had a mare of week and went. I thought Tony might be going that way but it was fair that Maria went because although her boubou was definitely better than his she'd had a pretty bad week and had been weak all through the series despite being a really lovely woman.

I loved this week's theme. I think for most of us it was a chance to see something that we're not at all used to which was a real breath of fresh air.

Managed to catch up tonight rather than waiting until tomorrow, I’m sure I’ll regret that when my alarm goes off early in the morning 😂
I really liked this weeks episode, the history behind each garment and the fabrics were so vibrant.

Lizzies transformation garment was stunning, draping isn’t something I’ve ever done but she seemed to know exactly what she was doing and for me that would have been garment of the week. I did like her made to measure but wasn’t too keen on the stitching at the front.

Tony W has kind of been in the background for me but I loved the look of his made to measure, such a shame that the final finishes were just a bit too rough to be classed as finished.

I felt quite sad for Maria really, I think she struggled last week and was the one I thought would leave this week. I just didn’t like anything that she did this week and she was clearly struggling so probably best she went now.

Asmaa’s made to measure looked so beautiful, if only she’d had enough time to finish it to her usual standard. I do like though that she’s not afraid of pushing her own boundaries and making a lot more work for herself - I don’t think I’d be so brave!
