I love the way they talk as if they do more than decorate their own houses
I've not seen it yet, but this really irritated me in the previous series.

I'm still no wiser on how being self-declared wacky and buying lots of trinkets for your house is more than decorating that the likes of me and Joe Blogs do.

I also think they should make it clear how much time and budget the contestants have before the televised 2 days. The sofas and other furniture had to be sourced. The paint needed to dry and cure before other bits added.

I think they did mention what the budget was (maybe £1800?)

They don't say what the start and end times each day are though.

I love Michelle so much. It must be amazing to have that much faith in your own judgement of taste and style. Absolutely no self doubt. She knows what is right and what isn’t.

I love how she dresses. That denim jumpsuit job looked amazing on her but would look a bastard on anyone else.

Has anyone managed to find the Elephant Park apartments to see what was changed? That's one of my favourite things to do with this show, find the listings and see what they'd changed or got rid of!

I had a look but can't see them, unless they changed them all..

Just picking out some interesting comments from instagram, they had already designed, sourced, and bought everything before they got paired! So no wonder some didn't really blend together!

Ooo that's interesting about being paired after doing the designs. Bit bonkers.

Watched on catchup today but totally missed all the names.

Also thought Ibiza boy would go, that pink cabinet was a crime. But his attitude will no doubt provide some entertainment in weeks to come.

Oh this so much. They always sound like Victoria Wood characters “oooooh, I’m wacky me! I’m marmite me! I’m such a character! I’m a bit of a maverick but you can’t help but love me can you! “

I just think it's like all the " dumbing down" of life in general. 🙄

I've not finished the episode yet but I swear Alan Carr has said banquette seating 8 million times.

Just watched this - was it just me or did most of them seem really young this series? Perhaps that's why the 'mature couple' brief was for people in their 40s 😆.

That’s where I think Joanna might pull ahead. She’s got more life experience.

I didn't think there was much variety in the contestants this year, the feel of all the rooms seemed pretty much the same to me. I was surprised there were few/no comments about referencing the amazing views in the judging .

Does anyone know if this week's episode has been bumped for Comic Relief? I can't see Design Masters in the TV schedul, and I thought it was on on Tuesdays.

Thanks, @GinIronic - it seems in Scotland we've got the SNP leadership debate instead. I was hoping I'd just mistaken the day. Wall to wall politicians do not make up for wall to wall design!

I'll be interested to see if any of the contestants give the brief in full for this as I imagine it's quite safety heavy..
