What's your favourite episode of Ghosts?

Mine is the episode where it's the Lunar eclipse and Alison and Mike have the neighbours round for dinner, it's total comedy genius. Everyone talking around the dinner table while the ghosts dance round it chanting about the 'wondrous moon' Mary: 'stew update, all the water has turned to clouds' and when the ghosts are watching Friends and Kitty declares 'I'm Phoebe, Lady Button is Monica and the Captain is Ross'

I love all the things already mentioned,I can't choose between Mary and the Captain as my favourites.

I love the Top Gun scene with Thomas and Julian, Pat as the referee is hilarious and so on point.
The Captain guiding all the cars into the car park completely unseen by anyone. Mary innocently wandering through a field being blamed for the crops failing by 2 male villagers

And the plague people are so well done, its a show I can rewatch and pick up things I missed the first time round. I am missing it already although the Christmas special is still to come.

It's not just me then?

I miss Mary with things being 5 potatoes high and the, "metal cow"

Not a favourite episode, but I absolutely roar anytime Mike speaks to the ghosts. He kind-of looks up in the air and squints and does this nodding thing, it’s perfection

My sons and I did a Ghosts tour at West Horsley place in the summer and it was just lovely. A group of slightly nerdy people all answering their questions (“5 potatoes high”, “Byron” etc) and happily pretending to die under a tree or have fallen out of a window.

Mike trapped in the inflatable ball made me howl.

I only discovered ghosts last Christmas and have binged it about 3 times since. My favourite line was when Robin kept referring to Alison as Kim Wild because Julian had said "ah Kim Wild!" When they arrived but meant the song that was on in the car.

I have so many favourite bits - it’s just such a charming, lovely, sweetly funny show. I heard Alison and Thomas on the radio last week and even they seemed really sad that it was over.

Definitely room for more to that ending though, hopefully in a Christmas special.

It was brilliant, such a fun tour and the house has an interesting history even outside Ghosts.
Did they mention how the Enola Holmes people wanted to paint a mural on the walls and the owners said no, so the EH people said “is there a particular area in dire need of funds at the moment……?” and voila: painted walls were allowed. The woman said it with such a twinkle!
I hope the house is ok now that Ghosts isn’t filmed there any more, it’s so rickety and they said lots of their visitors are drawn from Ghosts.

The other totally unexpected thing that Ghosts has done is made my younger son totally unafraid of the idea of ghosts! We’re currently living in an old house which is slightly creepy and after watching ghosts I think he’s figured that even if there are ghosts (which I’ve assured him there aren’t), they’d probably be quite fun and just like normal people anyway.

Ghosts US is OK when watched alone but notwhere near as subtle or funny or heartwarming as Ghosts UK, it just doesn't compare, there are far too many ghosts for one thing.

We did the tour last autumn, whole family in Ghosts-themed T-shirts. The guide took one look at us and said, "I don't need to ask why you're here!"

DDs insisted we re-enacted and videoed the whole of Thomas's fatal duel.

The American Ghosts is like when you say to a 9 year old “read this passage and re write it in your own words”. It’s worse, clearly copied (sometimes word for word), and loses all subtlety and humour.

I’ve just watched the interview with the cast on YouTube about the end of the show. Very funny but very poignant.

I’m going to watch it all again from the start.

My boys have also requested that we start again it’s such a rare and nice show that a 10,13 and two 45 year olds can all equally enjoy.

Sadly we didn't get decent pictures of our other T-shirts, but we had "Damn your eyes!" "Getoutgetoutgetoutgetoutgetout..." and "Simple lobster hat" with a cartoon lobster.

We're planning a fresh set of T-shirts for our next visit!

So for the tour itself it wouldn’t really matter but the garden is LOVELY so I would probably wait until maybe June as it’s very nice and pretty there.

I'm just rewatching the episode when Mary died and this line must have passed me by when I watched it before -
