Faisal: S1 started with Catherine clearing up drugs mess in Happy Valley. And her last policing job was clearing up drugs mess.

Ryan will be OK with Claire. Catherine won’t be gone forever! Few months.

Well I am satisfied that I was and am exhilarated yet bereft that that is the very end. It was amazing. Words can't describe that acting. Phenomenal. I'm exhausted. I'm not sure anything will ever top that. Loved the ending. But if a tussle 😁

Ryan knows how much she loves him, and Claire, and he knows how much he loves them. This episode it was all about how much Catherine loves him, letting go of the ghost of his psycho dad and realising how Ryan is never going to go down the wrong road. Lots of lovely little touches to show this- like his photo on her desk 🥰

I cried for TLR when he was talking to Catherine...can't believe he forgave her! Brilliant writing and brilliant understanding of the nuances of humans, their experiences and perspectives. What a way to drive home how damaged tlr was from his upbringing.
Their dialogue together was phenomenal!
And yes "we had another bit of a tussle" - best line!

Think it needed a scene if faisal with his family,no idea of what was about to hit him

Yes, the boss thinking he was a new recruit and saying “I just see something in you lad, that you were one of us”

I Actually think it was the perfect ending. Anyone else dying would have been to over dramatic, and the Faisal / Rob stuff would have been too much to have tied up in any kind of neat way. Faisal was always a bit part anyway.

Bit of a damp squib, but this entire series hasn't really matched up to the first two, so I'm not surprised the ending was a bit underwhelming.

Catherine can give evidence of Darius's involvement in murder based on TLR's dying declaration given in settled and hopeless expectation of death.

I thought that was excellent. The scene with Claire where she so wanted to go to Catherine but wasn't brave enough was beautifully done.

I literally cheered when Ryan told the police about TLR contacting him online.

And the final scene was brilliant. Angry, sad and funny. Such amazing acting.

Bit did you see Catherine's look at the suggestion grandma would bring them up?

Some comments say Catherine left without Ryan... did my recording cut off early? She didn't go anywhere?

I think she was rude just walking off when they were all there for a leaving do

absolutely this. And Norton in final scene when his face keeps changing from broken to murderous as Catherine goads him. I liked it. They will get Faisal.
