what will happen to our Ryan

will Tommy die (I think he has to) so no threat ever again and Catherine and Ryan can live happily every after

I love Happy Valley but I don't think I'll need a mourning period like some people are anticipating. I just hope it goes out on a high.

It isn't often you get some real drama on TV, though. There's lots of fun stuff, but not much that makes you believe and invest in the characters. I remember the first season of The Killing, and the grief of the parents, it broke my heart, it was like watching a documentary.

I haven’t read the whole thread because I’ve watched all episodes this last week, so sorry if it’s been mentioned.

I have to say I hate the pharmacist’s eldest daughter’s attitude about the neighbour having been killed. Laughing about it and taking so much joy from the chaos happening in the street on the back of someone dying.

it’s disgusting that anyone would find so much joy in another person, especially a young woman, dying.

I know teenagers can be self-centred and thoughtless, but her attitude makes me sick to my stomach.

I'm with you on that @Emotionalsupportviper - I have faith that won't happen though. Both SW & SL are far too amazing to have anything other than a fantastic ending. Whether it'll be satisfactory to me though, is another thing, as I think it'll be gritty & real, which doesn't equate to TLR necessarily getting his just desserts.

(I'm still not over the ending of Unforgotten, which is colouring my fear here!)

That daughter was also telling her sister that Dad was a second child so parents wouldn't pay for him to do medicine so he was ONLY a pharmacist. She said she would go to university but younger sister might not be able to. Nasty piece of work.

Yes Unforgotten was a shocking and upsetting ending. Still haunts me. Hope HV doesn't go the same way 😬
