Happy Valley finishes tomorrow. FOREVER 😭

I have never lived anything so much. What are we all going to watch afterwards? Sunday nights will never be the same.

I sandwich Vera and HV and bounce on my gym ball. It's my Sunday n

Sunday night routine.

What will people watch?

Endeavour is soon but the last season.

Silent Witness is ridiculous.

What will we do without our Sunday evening fix of Yorkshire liveliness?

I feel bereft in anticipation of the void HV will leave in its wake.

*loveliness. I'm too upset to type coherently.

Sad already!

AutisticLegoLover · 04/02/2023 22:10

I know! I want to feel exhilarated by this time tomorrow but bereft at it being over. If I'm pissed off and disappointed because it's a crappy final episodes I'm going to be raging.

Me too! I can't stop thinking about how it's going to end, but don't want it to be over!

<taps on door of thread>

<opens it cautiously - sees a couple of Catherholics already waiting>

<fetches chair and joins them>

<all sit in silence, sipping hot Ribena>

Ay up, you’ll be reet. We have to be. 💐❤️

Theres a new series of Unforgotten coming apparently. That’s pretty good.

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 05/02/2023 08:52

I’m traumatised too.

I keep hoping that they’ll resurrect it again😭

Who’s gonna die tonight? Tommy? The Gaurdian yesterday had all the characters rated by possibility of dying tonight. Tommy and Catherine’s ex were both 9 out of 10.

Crumpetdisappointment · 05/02/2023 08:55

we have been watching STate of Play, series from 2003.
on that note Giri/Haji is excellent.
what about Last Tango in Halifax for your Sarah Lancashire fix.
or go with Nicola Walker, Spooks, River (marvellous) Unforgotten
The Bridge

or just start Happy Valley again !

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/02/2023 10:06

I assume bbc will give us another drama to start

Looks hopeful and waits for sky to allow to see what is on next Sunday at 9

Will it be as good now Nicola Walker is no longer in it.

mrswhiplington · 05/02/2023 10:09

Hope it's better than the last Line of Duty episode. Was disappointed in that. I might have to take a trip to Hebden Bridge and stand outside Catherine's house. It's not too far from me.😊

The house and its real owners were on Look North the other day. It looks quite different.

CaptainMyCaptain · 05/02/2023 10:16

Although obviously the interior shots would have been filmed elsewhere.

Slimjimtobe · 05/02/2023 10:18

Cannot wait 😝😝

i am full of nervous anticipation and not sure if i want to watch it

LindorDoubleChoc · 05/02/2023 11:29

State of Play is absolutely outstanding and I would highly recommend.

Also, although it looks a little dated now, Our Friends in the North is a tremendously good epic TV series which I think you would enjoy if you hadn't seen it before. I will be rewatching it for the 3rd time soon. It paints a wonderful picture of the social history of the North of England, warts and all, and is moving and exhilarating and just so damn good.

I actually prefer Line of Duty to Happy Valley although I was disappointed in the final series of that.

Better Call Saul? - best TV series I've ever seen by a long way.

I'm looking forward to tonight and then perhaps all the blanket press coverage will go away. I mean, it's good but it's not everything it's hyped up to be Grin <runs fast>

Don't forget Scott and Bailey.

You'll see a lot of old friends from T' Valley there an' all.

AutisticLegoLover · 05/02/2023 13:31

Scott and Bailey was great.

Crumpetdisappointment · 05/02/2023 13:33

War and Peace for your James Norton

There's a new police show coming to BBC1 "early 2023". www.whattowatch.com/watching-guides/blue-lights-cast-plot-and-all-you-need-to-know-about-the-new-police-drama
I don't watch Vera but have loved HV. 😢

I've never watched Scott and Bailey before but have binge watched the first series this weekend and it is amazing!

Rebel2023 · 05/02/2023 14:46

@mum2jakie same, just finished it all and was bereft when it ended!

NurseButtercup · 05/02/2023 15:35

I'm gutted that it's the final episode tonight. I'm definitely going to rewatch to see the details that I've missed.
Unforgotten won't be the same without Nicola Walker but I will definitely be watching and will judge her replacement super harshly (as if anyone asked or cares about my opinion).

Soooo I'm going to watch Snowfall on BBC iPlayer from the beginning, just in time for the final season which is due soon.

And then I'm planning to watch Mayor of Kingstown, written by the same guy who wrote Yellowstone. And then Your Honor (Bryan Cranston) both on Amazon Prime & Now TV.

I went through a period of trying not to watch American TV shows, but I got drawn back in after watching the Gilded Age, then I somehow got drawn into watching Yellowstone (I'm in two minds about watching the two prequels 1883 and 1923).

Don't forget succession and bridgerton are coming soooooon......
