Looks like Love Island producers have announced that participants' social media will be locked whilst the programme airs. (Looking for reliable source, so far I can only find tabloid stories).
I hope it's true, I think it's needed.

I really like Ron. He was very level headed when Tom arrived and was v reasonable just then.

I love Wills tiktoks, he's really funny. I really hope he doesn't become another doctor Alex, but I fear he will. I think he's more confident in himself than the previous awkward blondes so hopefully he will meet someone, but also I don't want this to crush his personality

The contestants seem so bland this year, I feel like there's not a single funny bone in them yet. I'm not warming to anyone (bar farmer will)

Good start to the series! A bit of drama, no immediate cliffhanger or dragging it out over two episodes and the female bombshell looks like she'll be good!

Liking Olivia - she's got something about her. Ron seems like a sweetie

I like that the girls seem a bit more natural this year.
None of the guys grab me - I'd probably pick Ron if I were there.

Every year they have a blond/fair guy who's relatively less attractive and gets friend-zoned. Why don't they put in a really hot blond guy.

Olivia looks bit like Maura Higgins when she has the high pony-tail.

Maya is stunning and doing a good job.

I really like Lana, she seems really sweet and friendly. Get bad vibes from Olivia. She’s an attention seeker and I think she’ll manipulate to get what she wants. Tanyel seems aloof and moody. Tanya seems like a nice girl, as does Anna May.

As for the boys Tom is really fit and seems nice. Ron is a cheeky chappy but quite mature and levelheaded and not the lad I thought he was gonna be. Haris is coming across better than I thought too. Don’t know why he has his hair like that though, he looks like a Lego figure!

It’s so windy in the evenings! That would totally do my head in, spending all that time getting ready and then your hours all over the place.

Just got caught up! So far I like Ron, Lana, Shaq and Tanya. Tanyel is beautiful but seems a bit stuck up, especially with that whole thing about offering to split the bill with a guy and dumping him if he does!

Surely half the fun of watching Love Island is that most of the contestants look so far removed from 'normal' that it warrants a discussion.

I think there's a difference between commenting on looks versus making nasty comments.

If I wouldn't say it to a friend, I won't type it here but will happily point out odd cosmetic surgery decisions/fashion choices/poor behaviour.

Yep so Tanyel basically tricks the guy and then uses it against him. That’s her telling everyone exactly who she is. Hard work and in to mind games!

The white guys are Ron, Will, Haris and now Tom.

I really was set to dislike Olivia but at least she's entertaining. Clearly keeping her options open and knows how to play the game.

People are saying Kai has Adam Collard vibes and I'm beginning to suspect he may be a bit of a player. I can't see him sticking with Tanyel. I suspect they are both used to being the 'catch' in a relationship.

I’m not sure about Olivia. It’s too early to tell but I get the feeling she’s insincere and will be all about the drama. I noticed she’s homed in on Lana as her “bestie” and already playing two guys off against each other. Definite mean girl vibes. Having said that I could be way off. I felt similar in the beginning about Chloe in 2021 and she turned out to be really lovely.
