Looks like Love Island producers have announced that participants' social media will be locked whilst the programme airs. (Looking for reliable source, so far I can only find tabloid stories).
I hope it's true, I think it's needed.

I quite liked the twist at the end. It was looking to be a very cozy recoupling except for the Olivia, Zara, Tom triangle. The loser would have got Aaron I guess. This will hopefully upset some other couples and lead to a bit more drama or head turning.

Talking about the ‘game’ so explicitly has generally never been a popular move within in the villa or to the public so Zara is playing with fire a bit here saying things like Olivia only has 1 option and being very defensive/possessive of Tom. It won’t be popular with the public and the constant chat around the game will annoy other islanders and scare away Tom.

Saying that I don’t like Olivia too although she’s finally showing a bit of personality rather than being ice queen and not giving anything away.

Also really, it’s important to remember they are all here to stay as long as possible and rack of social media followers for their career outside the villa. Even more so for the ladies as they are far more marketable and make a lot more from influencing than the guys will. So there is a lot of pressure and can see why both Olivia and Zara might view getting with someone like Tom as a nice secure ticket to stay in for the first few weeks.

I can't STAND Zara: she's aggressive, jealous and thinks she's way better than anyone else. That kind of arrogance really rubs me up the wrong way.

I don't like Olivia either- total princess and I wonder what the LCD is with her being 27 and never having had a relationship despite wanting one? In saying that I want her to smack Zara.

This. I think the contestants might as well talk openly about strategic moves and stop pretending they are there to 'find love'. We all know its completely staged by the producers and the contestants are trying to stay in as long as possible. They don't care what happens in there as long as they stay and don't spoil their chances of making deals with brands when they leave.

The newbies are good looking. Finally.

When they are 'partying', I almost feel sorry for them and the lengths they are prepared to go to act like they are dancing to music and drinking alcohol.

I don't believe one genuine person would enter the show at this stage, its just an interview to be an 'Ista hun'.

Aggressive is a very strong word that is sometimes thrown about a bit too lightly. Zara may be called argumentative, jealous, assertive, fiery etc, but it is unfair to call her aggressive seeing as she hasn't physically come close to getting into anyone's face.

Definitely not a fan of Zara, she's too demanding and seems hard work. I don't like the way she was so dismissive about Olivia who I just about prefer to Zara.

Honestly can't see what Tom sees in Zara. I assumed he'd go straight off her after the first Olivia row, when she showed her true colours. Anybody noticed how her voice completely changes when she's pissed off? She's quite well spoken in the hut, then what I assume is her real voice comes out and she sounds like a completely different person. Her face contorts to match.

Not buying that Jessie is into Will at all. She really reminds me of Sam Faiers though.

She reminds me of Jaime, high school girl.

Olivia's bottom lip when she talks reminds me of someone too... perhaps Denise Van Outen. And Ron reminds me of a young Jamie O'Hara (footballer).

I LOVE how Zara was trying to put an ultimatum on Tom and then (basically cause he's a pussy) he refused and she was all stroppy and hair-flippy about it. She reaaaally thinks she's the real deal ✋🏼.

Please let Ellie pick Tom just for the drama!!!!

Hey just checking in! I haven't watched the show since series 5 because in my opinion it declined every year after series 2. Thought I'd give it a go again because I love Maya Jama!

I love Will he seems like the most interesting/fun person in there.

Don't get what people see in Tom, he seems boring as hell with no backbone.

I find Kai and Tanyel boring. I like Lana, but think Ron is one of those guys that acts like the nice guy but is actually a snake.

I cannot STAND Olivia at all, I find her passive aggressive/bitchy and it all seems to be because she can't handle Tom picking Zara over her. I like Zara she seems like a straight talker. I feel like she's only being labelled aggressive because she's completely had enough with Olivia's bitchiness and doesn't hide it!

Also I'm actually really liking the show so far and I liked the twist of bringing Ellie and Spencer in for the recoupling, excited to see who they pick.

I don't mind Olivia, but I'm amazed she can't see Tom is just feeling awkward and trying to let her down gently. Unless more has happened that we haven't seen. Zara doesn't seem like his type at all - but that's just an assumption as he doesn't exactly ooze personality imo.
