William "screamed and shouted" at Harry.

Ep5.
So that's the big accusation we've been waiting for.

Then a denial that he, Harry, denied William had bullied him and MM.

Denying that you denied it so implying it was true that William was bullying them?

Never liked William anyway. Hope he's never King.

But it was happening!
If you go back to that time and look at the headlines at least once a week often more they were headline news.
If they weren't headline news then there were snide references to them in the media or on social media.

Once a week isn't 24 hours a day. There's plenty of crass social media about the RF (I looked at a link posted on another thread and the seriously awful stuff about Kate and William was appalling).

Considering Harry and Meghan's dislike of the media (social and otherwise) response to them, and Harry's assertion that they left the RF to find peace, you'd think they'd remove themselves from the sphere where they're going to be subject to scrutiny. If they have PR and advisors I don't think they're doing a very good job.

Oh dear, one brother shouted at another brother! Shock! Horror! Trauma! Hate! Racism!
No - just normal interactions in most families on occassion.

I don’t think any of that is normal. Adult siblings screaming and racism is normal to you?

justgettingthroughtheday · 15/12/2022 11:46

No @Same1977 they have told their story. Their perspective. They haven't mocked anything other than themselves. They haven't mocked any of the traditions - which you would know if you had watched the documentary with an open mind.
What they have done is condemn the British media and their shitty behaviour. They have been treated appallingly by the press the entire time. Harry has been from the moment his mother died. His mother who wouldn't have died had she not been being chased by the British media at the time of her death and who was photographed dying by them instead of helping her.

But there is none so blind as those who cannot see. You have decided your narrative due to being manipulated by headline and bullshit propaganda.

Well said!

Why is anyone even watching the fabricated bullshit ?

Entertainment innit. Now I go back to watching Gilmore Girls.

Trebo · 15/12/2022 12:14

If you watch the documentary, his point is not about the shouting.

Its also quite an interesting episode as it goes into social media hate and trolling and how people get whipped into a froth based on a headline.

Thefriendlyone · 15/12/2022 12:17

Honestly I struggle to believe William stood up and randomly started screaming. And the queen just sat watching. And harry was terrified.

I strongly suspect recollections may vary on this one too. Don’t get me wrong, William could be a secret screamer and the queen was passive in the face of it. But I’m not buying,

i suspect they had a bit of a heated argument, no more no less.

Why do you think it's fabricated bullshit?

justgettingthroughtheday · 15/12/2022 12:18

@Coxspurplepippin you do realise that equals constant paparazzi attention. If you have one front page to fill on them per week you will have hundreds or thousands of attempts to get that perfect picture of them. It equals people breaking into property to get a photo. It equals drones above the house trying to get shots. That front page is worth huge money. The photo used will be worth thousands. There is serious competition to get that shot.

hattie43 · 15/12/2022 12:18

What I feel conflicted over is when I saw Megan crying / talking about the negative press stories I really felt for her . Then I thought about what I'd do in that situation and now can't understand why , having gotten away from it all they'd stir it all up again by doing this Netflix stuff knowing what would happen .
What is to be gained by raking all this up and resurrecting the behemoth of media intrusion all over when you can't cope with it .

I don't understand it . If it effects your wellbeing that much leave it alone don't keep poking it .
They are a beautiful couple clearly in love , beautiful children , stunning home , more money in the bank than most can dream of . Isn't that enough , really .

Same1977 · 15/12/2022 12:04

I hope you realise people are allowed to dislike someone for their personality or behaviour. It doesn't have to always come down to racism.

By that standard every white person Meghan dislikes is being disliked due to racism.

By that standard every white person Meghan dislikes is being disliked due to racism.

This just shows you don't understand what racism actually is.

skippy67 · 15/12/2022 12:18

That's not what Harry says happened though, is it?

GCAcademic · 15/12/2022 12:19

Big deal. Families have rows. H&M's demand to be "half in, half out" of the royal family meant wanting access to the RF whilst being authorised to monetise that relationship. I'm not surprised William was angry, most people would be.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 15/12/2022 12:19

Adult siblings screaming and racism is normal to you?

Adult siblings shouting at each other - yes absolutely
Racism - no not at all - but there wasn't any in this case

Exactly!
People are hearing what they want to hear. Twisting what has actually been said to fit their narrative.

Museya15 · 15/12/2022 12:20

Bankrolling off their royal connection, I thought she hated everything that's associated with the royal past and what it stood for. Massive hypocrites.

So why are they now acting in a way guaranteed to increase media interest?

EhLov · 15/12/2022 12:23

Really, I think Harry thinking that his brother screaming and shouting at him at a stressful family time would be a 'big reveal' and make us all recoil in horror, shows just how sheltered and privileged his life has been. And more so, how he has utterly no understanding of that.

Toolowforzero · 15/12/2022 12:23

I just think it’s so distasteful of these two. There’s nothing of any substance to tell.
Only people living with this much wealth and privilege could think that these ‘problems’ could be worthy of a 6 part documentary. It’s embarrassing and shows no regard for people who are suffering genuine hardship and going about their lives quietly and with dignity.

Was Harry actually an army captain? He doesn’t appear to have the character for it.

ohioriver · 15/12/2022 12:23

So. Family have a row then? Hardly news worthy.

Oh yes ,duh I forgot it only works one way. But let's keep it at you understanding and me not.No point continuing useless debates

Your original post included racism. You said,

Oh dear, one brother shouted at another brother! Shock! Horror! Trauma! Hate! Racism!
No - just normal interactions in most families on occassion.

I don’t think that adults siblings screaming is normal or ok. I guess your standards are lower than mine. Sucks yo bd you I guess. 😊

justgettingthroughtheday · 15/12/2022 12:24

@Coxspurplepippin do you seriously think if they hadn't that the media would go away?
They wouldn't. This is giving them a chance to put their own side of things across.

MorningMeditation · 15/12/2022 12:25

to be

dottiedodah · 15/12/2022 12:26

TBH I am really tired of all this shit.H&M may have some grievances its true. However constantly dragging up past problems for money, is not helping get over them! Please just sort it privately and stop painting yourselves as victims when most likely 50/50 like most families!

Dumakey · 15/12/2022 12:26

I think they keep telling they're story because they don't really feel they're being listened to. The vast majority of the public have made up their minds about H and M based on the lies the press spout about them on a daily basis, fuelled by the agenda of the royal family.
