I’ve watched up to mid-episode 5 and the thing that really stands out to me is this idea about moving to another commonwealth country and doing work on behalf of the Queen there. It’s really arrogant to think they can pick and choose and that country has to just accept theme. These are independent sovereign states and the Queen can’t just dispatch her relatives where she likes. There are political and diplomatic implications, which would have to be discussed at government level. Younger generations in Canada are naturally questioning having a British monarch as head of state and having a prince imposed on the them might not go down too well. The fact they expected this to be agreed within a matter of days exposes how difficult they may have been to deal with.

This is not good. I am shocked that some people see this as normal.

This. It is sometimes overwhelming the amount of racism on Mumsnet. It is a constant feature on here. The ongoing denial of it is the worst part.

Sorry to offend anyone who does this… but I find them calling each other ‘H’ and ‘M’ really cringe 🤢 and even worse when Meghan’s friends call Harry ‘H’!! Do they want to sound like they’re in a James Bond film? If so, there’s only one ‘M’ and you’re not it Meghan. I got seriously sidetracked by that, and the poem Meghan was obviously super proud of from when she was 12 or 13. Does anyone else remember poems (ooh and haikus) they wrote when they were in year 7? Focussing on the minutiae, that’s about as interesting as I found it.

I wouldn't dream of calling anyone a racist based purely on their skin colour, but apparently, that's not how it works. To say I'm confused is an understatement. As others have said, thisnis their side of the story and only that.

H and M are monetising their grievances. The problem is that as they have cut themselves off from the source of those grievances, the RF, and eventually they will have said everything it is possible to say, without access to any fresh information or material. They are leading a very very expensive lifestyle and I don't see how they can maintain that for decades without doing something startlingly creative and original. Not sure what that could be.

I have not read all the thread, so I am not talking about this thread in particular. I am talking in general. The fact that you do believe MN is not racist says it all. You do not see the racism on here because you are blind to it, maybe even contribute to it. Black posters have been speaking out about it for a long time. Yet again it is being dismissed, by someone who does not see it.
