It's like Christmas has come early! It's looks tense from the trailer/advert. So sad it's the last one though-or is it just Perez's last series? Love Tosh. Can't stand Sandy. I'd love to visit up there.

Has Tosh ever actually held her baby?

Selkiesarereal · 07/09/2022 22:09

I wondered that too, who goes out to work without giving their baby a big kid???

Said exactly the same. Reminded me of Laure in Spiral.

Pinkbox · 07/09/2022 23:32

I wondered if it was a Covid distancing thing.

I'll be very disappointed if the awful nurse lures Jimmy off for a life of quiet retirement. She is far too fishy. I'd be much happier to see her outed as the master criminal behind the last few series of nefarious activities, and lobbed down a metaphoric Reichenbach Falls. Jimmy can then head off on a cruise with a freshly released Duncan to start a spin off amateur detective series in sunnier climes.

LouisCatorze · 08/09/2022 06:52

It was definitely a woman's hands making the bomb (even though covered in gloves). Yes, my money is on the artist's wife. Not least because she seems least likely, and yes that whatever happened 15 years ago issue is clearly very relevant.

LouisCatorze · 08/09/2022 07:22

Lots of things seem to be conspiring to make Jimmy consider a different lifestyle. However, I'm wondering whether he's going to meet his maker (the bomb?) before he gets a chance to make changes?

I'm missing Duncan.

I didn't think the shape of the rest of the bomber was right for the artist's wife although I do think she's prime suspect now.

LouisCatorze · 08/09/2022 08:07

Is Donnie's ex still in custody? It would probably make more sense to be her hands?

FeedMeSantiago · 08/09/2022 08:21

Bomb maker looked female to me too. I think Clana (the creepy girl), CarolAnne (if released) or Rachel (Connor's mum). Maybe Bryd's mum at a push.

Either someone in the cell committed the murders of Bill, Connor and Bryd or it was someone outside the cell who was taking them down. Perhaps the Davidson's or even someone connected to Martin in Counter-Terrorism.

Jimmy will either ride off into the sunset with the nurse, will decide to quit after losing the nurse so that he can find someone new in the future and enjoy life a bit more or he will be killed in the next episode.

FeedMeSantiago · 08/09/2022 08:22

Or, wildcard - Connor's little sister.

Could be Jane too but I think that couple could be a massive red herring.

lazymum99 · 08/09/2022 09:14

Whoever was making that bomb was quite a ‘chunky’ shape. So don’t think it was any of the young girls

LouisCatorze · 08/09/2022 09:17

It seems unlikely that schoolgirls would be bomb-making experts though? Or am I being wildly naive?

SoupDragon · 08/09/2022 09:30

You can find out how to do anything on the Internet.

ThorsBedazzler · 08/09/2022 09:40

We are being led to think it's the waste people because of the blue barrels. So I think it either is them, because we haven't actually seen them in ages, or it isn't them and instead will be... Donnie. I think he has been radicalised through coffee catch ups with Carol-Anne.

I think Jane from Eastenders has a massively dodgy past too, possibly involved in murdering people. How could she never have noticed the hatch and safe under the floor before? She is well dodgy too.

Very disappointed in Nurse Doom there - poor Jimmy is trying to solve crime with only a distracted Tosh and a hang dog expression to help him. I don't count Billy as much help, he's too distracted by shrinking his t shirt and cheese sandwiches. And Sandy has performed his once in a series stroke of genius by mentioning the library so he's no help now.

I don't know what's going to happen. Just that I no longer want the nurse and Jimmy to sail off together after she was so needlessly cruel to him.

CaptainMyCaptain · 08/09/2022 09:40

At the very beginning weird girl and Connor's sister were doing some sort of Pagan ceremony - did that have anything at all to do with it? I don't think they are murderers as Connor's sister handed in the memory card to Perez as she was trying to help and suspected Martin. The other girl has an unnatural interest in dead bodies but I don't think it's her either.

I suspect Carol-Anne because of her asking too many questions about Tosh. Any normal person with no ulterior motives (just old friends) would leave Donnie alone knowing how Tosh felt about it. She is too persistent.

SoupDragon · 08/09/2022 09:44

I think the waste people are involved insofar as they've dumped stuff that has then been misused maybe. I don't think they are actively involved as such.

there is no way Her from Eastenders could have not noticed the hatch. It wasn't exactly hidden.

Downnotdown · 08/09/2022 14:58

I think the bomb-maker is Alison (?), the partner of the artist. When the camera first showed the person from the back, it looked like her sort of build and size.

I do think that Carol-Anne is involved in all this but her situation after being interviewed was left unexplained in that episode I thought.

RhannionKPSS · 08/09/2022 15:01

Why is the nurse visiting her from Eastenders? What is her illness ?

LouisCatorze · 08/09/2022 15:28

I did think (on rewatching last night's episode) that the stature of the bomber seemed quite broad and stocky, so not likely Connor's sister or the one with a fixation on dead bodies.

She is actually visiting Her From Eastenders' mother who is ill

RhannionKPSS · 08/09/2022 16:21

I wonder if the mother’s illness is anything to do directly with the plot? Could be revenge?

Dornie always holds him. I wonder if the baby is his so it's OK re covid.

Has the father held her? My impression is the baby is always in a pram, cot etc so more likely covid distancing
