Abso bloody lutely this. And there's far too much of it about these days <old bastard alert> but it's true to say that there's so much self indulgence (hence the OTT whining over dead relatives) teamed with the vanity of the insta generation. Add in a bit of insecurity and the ability to decide you're allowed to behave as badly as ypu like under the caveat of "I know I'm a handful" or "I say it like it is" All of course completely encouraged and provoked by the shows producers.

The sad fact is that the vanity / insecurity issue is a doubled edged sword as they are all desperate for attention and love. Yet push it away or are entirely against having an open mind and in fact all mostly judgemental bellends. Such strict criteria for a partner pops up every year. The reason I ditched OLD sharpish.

I know it's not a popular thing to say, but resilience has been lost which has resulted in a bastardised blend of fragility and aggression. A form of defence I suppose, but gone unchecked makes for some ugly personalities.

That said, I do hope a couple of them end up happy anyway. Or at the very least, learn something aboot themselves.

I do agree with this, especially the first paragraph. Thomas is fine as Adrian isn't going to tell him he looks like a Ronsealed blow up doll. I find myself wondering how he does the job he does but is so careless with people's feelings.

If anything happened to DH, I would be very happy to stay single for the rest of my life rather than deal with the insecurities out there.

Oooffff. Thomas I agree seems like one who can dish it out 'banter' but not take it. Point made, Adrian's not your usual type. Why go on and on knowing he'll see this some day?

I reckon April had a massage at the hotel and 4kids said that as a joke but it's been edited to look serious for the dramz.

Chanita seems an utter sweetheart and the guy seems nice. I cried at them.

I took Whitney's point not wanting to pertain to love in the vows when they'd just met as it wasn't sincere but she could have been a lot more gracious in front of everyone.

Do we think we'll have the honesty box questions which will reveal April has cheated previously on a partner which freaks George out. Ex wife was unfaithful ? Hence a trigger?

I think she really did cheat on him, and I think it's a self-destructive behaviour because she's not happy about the four kids situation. Looking forward to finding out later.

Just catching up - love Chanita and Jordan (?), hate Whitney, think April will run for hills! Thomas is annoying, but I actually really respect that he turned round to Katie and was like "I'm trying to get to know Adrian here, stop with the interrogation!" And he was very straightforward to Adrian about what he thought as well. He definitely wouldn't be able to handle the same feedback, but I don't think Adrian will be getting any shocks when he watches it back.

Mine popped up on that spread of news stories that appears when you open a new internet tab. Once a spoiler was mentioned, I should have just reused existing tabs as spoilers always lurk on there. It's how I found out that Bryce and Melissa had had twins - gits.

If I was in charge there would be harsh punishments for spoilers. Bring back the stocks!

So pleased to find this thread!
Had told myself I wasn't going to watch this year but I watched the catch up episode which kind of introduced this years contestants, and oops I was in!
Nothing much really to add at the min, think Whitney is horrible, kind of similar to Nikita I think, very defensive but comes across as rude/ aggressive, she just does it in a classier manner.
Feel quite pleased that there's at least a few contestants this year who seem to have applied for the right reasons rather than just being fame hungry. Looking forward to tonight's episode 😀

Do we think Luke Dawson (or one of the others from last year) is going to come back as one of the grooms?
