It was a silly series. Charmaine has always had that liar vibe

I have to fast forward a lot of it (Hope drives me nuts and I don't like the doctor)
Love preacher. Love jack and Mel of course.

It just seems unbelievable this time.

P205 · 24/07/2022 14:45

I can't stop watching it. They are all so oddly calm, like there must be valium in the water or something.

Apparently, they have already started shooting season 5.

RoofFlower · 24/07/2022 15:17

I like it. It’s silly at times but easy viewing for me.
I was thinking Lily’s baby hasn’t aged at all. How can she still be so little?

Nice cliffhanger at the end .

But what can I watch now? Need something equally as cheesy.

Pl242 · 24/07/2022 18:02

Spoiler alert

the oddest thing for me was Doc just accepting that Denny had paid off all his debts. Like. Wtf?

MistyRock · 24/07/2022 18:10

I've already finished it! What do I watch now?

BeaLola · 24/07/2022 18:10

As I said before seriously her adored DH dies, she moves, claps eyes on Jack, goes through all the trauma of series 1-3 and it's only just over a year since her DH died Blush

Re season 4 - the costumes for the medieval weekend - my DH came in whilst I was binge watching and said " I never thought I'd say this but it makes Dynasty look good "

We need more Preacher

It’s all over such a short timescale. Charmaine is still only 5 months pregnant and Mel is still early enough

JellyBabiesSaveLives · 24/07/2022 18:14

I think I just need a show with all that lovely scenery, and some people eating nice food and a good looking bloke wanders past occasionally. Plot not needed

WhisperGold · 24/07/2022 22:50

WTAF - where did everyone get those amazing costumes for the renaissance fayre?

All that effort put into Lizzie's costume and she was only on stage for two minutes!

BrieAndChilli · 24/07/2022 23:00

Similar shoes that are better I think are Hart of Dixie, Sweet Magnolias,

LightandFruity · 24/07/2022 23:23

Why was Charmaine having a baby shower if she was only 5 months pregnant?

DessicatedWithering · 25/07/2022 19:02

I am only 2 episodes in but I am not sure I can suspend my astonishment enough to carry on. Charmaine is still barely pregnant, Jack is giving Mel - a midwife - a doppler and prenatal vitamins. Denny showed up and no one mentioned DNA testing, no one seems bothered that Paige's kid got kidnapped. It's just more than a bit crap.

cherrypiepie · 25/07/2022 21:17

I've seen the whole series now. I like it because is easy watching.

But how can Mel be uncertain whose baby she is having. Did she have unprotected TTC sex with Jack in the same fertile window as having natural cycle IVF?

That is really weird isn't it?

cherrypiepie · 25/07/2022 21:20

At the same time Jack's ex FWB is 3 months pregnant (because Mel is 8 weeks pregnant when Charmaine is "5 months) and she find another husband and marries him.

Faircastle · 26/07/2022 12:46

It's simultaneously terrible and also surprisingly watchable. The scenery helps.

Nekomata · 26/07/2022 12:46

I feel like by MN standards, they are a town of cheeky fuckers.

Someone pops round and asks if you need help, no one would say, yes can you weed my roses, trim the bushes and bake me a pie, but in Virgin River, no one thinks twice about asking people to do stuff.

I suppose it's nice really, but I just couldn't do it!

How long were Ricky and Lizzie actually dating for? I feel like it must have been like a month, which is forever in Virgin River but way too short a time for her to be so mad at him.

Forestdweller11 · 26/07/2022 12:53

Mmmm. Not sure.

I sat down to binge and watched episode one series 4 then accidentally switched back to series 3 and didn't actually notice... Until I got to episode 6 ...

I was also absolutely gobsmacked that it's only 12 months since her husband died!!!!!!

Who goes through the trauma of having your husband die, moving cross continents etc etc to hitch up with a chap who has about 1million red flags and is a love bomber extraordinaire and be expecting a baby all within 12 months????

RoofFlower · 26/07/2022 13:22

Time obviously passes very slowly in Virgin River. I thought Mel had been there about 2 years!

concernedguineapig · 26/07/2022 13:34

The time scales are so weird! It's daft at times but I do enjoy it.
Jacks very annoying. I don't get the whole alcohol thing with him. They dramatise him having a drink but it's never actually acknowledged as a problem?

ForeverandAlways4 · 26/07/2022 13:39

marmiteandminticecream · 20/07/2022 04:35

i wonder if she'll have the twins in this series
longest pregnancy ever

Tell me about it. Its soooo slow I stopped after a few episode of season 4. I just can't anymore.

EasterIssland · 26/07/2022 23:43

Only 5 months? Bloody hell in gonna die and she’ll still be pregnant (for the record I’m 37)

I think this has been the worse seasons like … what have we got out of these season that was valid ?

RainbowConnection1 · 27/07/2022 08:38

I finished the series last night. What a cliff hanger 😄.

FFS never ending :/

mellongoose · 27/07/2022 09:17

I couldn't believe it when they said Charmaine was 5 months!! 🤣

I still love it though. At this rate we will need 3-4 more series to see the birth of Mel's baby!
