Dear oh dear - she should be given an Autotune machine at the least.

Does autotune work for live performances? Genuine question.

@Octomore - yep

Elderflower14 · 26/06/2022 19:57

During lockdown I was singing along loudly to
I Will Survive in the bakery at work, safe in the knowledge or so I thought that no one could hear me... Just as I finished I heard the chiller door click next door... When I looked out of the door my manager was grinning broadly at me!! 😱

Too many oldies this year past their sell by date.

Time for some younger talent, surely? I've only really enjoyed Noel Gallagher so far this year.

Noel Gallagher is 55 with absolutely turgid shite songs

AvonCallingBarksdale · 26/06/2022 19:57

Cripes, just turned on Years and Years!

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2022 19:58

Any good Avon .?

am staying with Diana. At moment

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2022 19:59

Oh done

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 19:59

He is hitting notes some singers 30 years his junior lost in their haste
He shouldn't have picked them up.

Octomore · 26/06/2022 20:00

In that case they should have used it!

Diana Ross isn't a composer - her appeal lies in being able to belt out a bloody good tune. Which she's struggling to do.

A lot of the songs she's singing have been covered very successfully by a number of different acts, so it's not like they're 'her' songs in the way that e.g. Hey Jude or Golden Slumbers belong to PM. She needs to deliver them well.

Yep. Turgid shite all the way in my book. I've never understood why he was ever popular.

Thelikelylass · 26/06/2022 20:02

watching years and years but swapping with Jar vis - i like years and years, liked Pulp but I now know I don't really like Jarvis Cocker and never have, not a good set.

Cassimin · 26/06/2022 20:03

Trying Jarvis cocker now.
Time for another shandy I think!

LynneBenfield · 26/06/2022 20:03

Diana Ross is a disaster, a real shame as I’m a fan Sad

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 26/06/2022 20:04

Oh thank gawd for Elbow on BBC 2 now

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2022 20:05

Yay elbow.

LynneBenfield · 26/06/2022 20:05

Like bad karaoke she’s shouting or talking through most of it and her mic is really quiet, probably intentional, she’s being carried by the backing track and singers.

Cassimin · 26/06/2022 20:06

Thanks SpinningTheSeedsOfLove
only caught the last 5 mins before.
jarvis cocker =awful. Considering pulp were so popular he had a tiny crowd.

LynneBenfield · 26/06/2022 20:06

littlbrowndog · 26/06/2022 20:05

Yay elbow.

I watched Elbow earlier and agree they were fab. Guy Garvey’s voice is fantastic live.

Thelikelylass · 26/06/2022 20:08

that years and years set reminds me of a club i went to many years ago, squalid it was!

MarshaBradyo · 26/06/2022 20:09

Jarvis good to listen to

Need to catch up with Elbow

stoptheride · 26/06/2022 20:10

Enjoy Jarvis, always been a fan

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 20:10

Every Elbow song sounds the same to me. Can't imagine listening to a full album of this.

QuebecBagnet · 26/06/2022 20:13

im quite fond of Elbow.

Sparklingbrook · 26/06/2022 20:13

I have Iplayer on but no idea who this is. Blush

CuriousCatfish · 26/06/2022 20:14

I'm never sure if I like Elbow or not. I feel like I should though.
