I went to school with Diana's stepchildren. She married their Dad a few years after I knew them... Her voice is slightly ropey!!

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 19:31

Please don't go down those stairs Shock

How do you watch something other than Diana Ross? It used to be red button to get a few other options but I can't see how to find anything else, even on iPlayer?? Feel a bit clueless - can anyone help?

On the home page there's Glastonbury on there it says Watch Live or View More, click view more then it takes you to the Glastonbury menu and you can see the different stages or go to select pop / dance etc.

Cassimin · 26/06/2022 19:32

Oh Diana I don’t think they know the words.
now if you did - hey Jude, nanana!!!

Octomore · 26/06/2022 19:32

It needs to pick up a bit..... pretty ropey at the moment.

Octomore · 26/06/2022 19:34

The dress is stunning, but it looks as though she can't move that well in it. And she is flat - forgivable at 78, but it means that something else is needed to lift this performance.

I'm not that into her back catalogue though, except the earlier Motown stuff.

CTPT · 26/06/2022 19:34

Just watching Glass Animals, they're doing a good set.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 26/06/2022 19:34

Oh bless her she's nearly 78. And yes she's being lovely with the crowd.

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 19:36

I love how much she's enjoying it.

Cassimin · 26/06/2022 19:36

78 in a dress that length with high heels-surely a recipe for disaster!

Octomore · 26/06/2022 19:37

I was also a bit underwhelmed by Roisin Murphy, who I was expecting to like. More effort went into adding and removing various bits of clothing than into performing and engaging with the audience.

Octomore · 26/06/2022 19:38

I mean that thing where she started backstage - what was that about? The whole point of a live performance is to engage with the audience, not with a camera.

fussychica · 26/06/2022 19:42

Kacey Musgrave, another top notch performance.

I've spent the last three days watching cricket and Glastonbury. It's been great but I should probably go outside for some fresh air!

SwedishEdith · 26/06/2022 19:44

She did a lot of really crap songs, I'm remembering.

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 19:46

She's having technical difficulties

Badger1970 · 26/06/2022 19:47

Oh god, this is little better than McCartney. I can't work out if she's not hearing feedback or she's tone deaf..............

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 19:47

Ah always reminds me of being on hold for DHL

tobee · 26/06/2022 19:47

Floralnomad · 26/06/2022 16:21

We are watching and ok Diana Ross can’t hold a tune anymore however thus far she’s doing what Macca should have done which is play songs that the crowd will sing and have a lot of backing singers who can actually sing .

Although Diana Ross isn't a composer so different kind of thing

Jellykat · 26/06/2022 19:48

Just gave Lorde a go, but the red tights / mauve leotard was distracting me too much.., now on Years and Years - rubber, spandex and waders i can cope with Grin

SummerPuddings · 26/06/2022 19:49

Cripes Diana Ross can't sing in tune anymore 😢

bellamountain · 26/06/2022 19:49

Just imagine if this was Diana in her prime, what a treat it would be 😭

SwedishEdith · 26/06/2022 19:50

Although Diana Ross isn't a composer so different kind of thing

Exactly. Paul McCartney can do what he likes.

Knock his voice? He is hitting notes some singers 30 years his junior lost in their haste, if they ever found them at all. As for the set list. His call. He’s not his own tribute act. Singular talent. Massive admiration.

JaneJeffer · 26/06/2022 19:26

The backing singers are great.

They sure are, and they are having to work very hard...

DanFmDorking · 26/06/2022 19:53

Dear oh dear - she should be given an Autotune machine at the least.

Badger1970 · 26/06/2022 19:53

Too many oldies this year past their sell by date.

Time for some younger talent, surely? I've only really enjoyed Noel Gallagher so far this year.
