A thread for discussion of Sewing Bee with no criticism of the contestants' personalities, mannerisms, or looks - just their sewing and designs, please.

Who's everybody's favourite for the win? I think Brogan's going to get it, but I'd be happy for any of them to win.

Japan crafts an online ( and real) UK shop selling Japanese fabric and sashiko stuff have 10% off until tonight. Have just ordered material to make kimonos (yukatas) for me and husband. Hopefully 5m each will suffice.

Agree about Marni, I had her down for the winner to begin with.
I like Brogan but I think she got a bit of an unfair pass given her pretty disastrous makes in the last episode.

I've bought from Japan crafts it's a great shop. Would love to visit it in person. It would prove to be a ruinously expensive day out!

Agree. I'd never heard of it until today when I found it on a Sewing Bee related website. They have sashiko as just running stitch embroidery and the patching craft they call boro

Ellie Taylor seriously needs to be offered the presenting job next year she was fab on the pottery throw down, warm, kind and funny. Not keen on Sara.

Ellie Taylor sounds like a great shout. I've not seen her interacting with the public but if you say she's good at that I think she'd be great. You need a warm but quirky personality like Mel, Sue, Joe or Claudia

I think Sara's great. I do hope Ellie is back on Pottery next year - on Twitter at least, the vast majority were calling for it. I think the poll was 80% Ellie, 20% Siobhan (? Hope I remembered her name right).

I'm going to see Joe live near the end of the year and I can't wait!

Now I think Siobhan is great on the Pottery Throwdown. I didn't like the negative comments about her on the thread.
Sara is kind and funny and presents well. It's not about them anyway, it's about the participants.

I've loved Ellie, Sara and Siobhan. All have different styles but all have been lovely.

I generally have a week of thinking "Oooh -this isn't as good as X", and then go on to thinking "No - they're no X, but they're just as good in a different way."

I quite liked. Sara at the start not as keen now.

i wonder if the jokes get a bit wearing as there is more filler. At the start there a loads of contestants. In the last few programmes only 4-5. I doubt they can completely fill by adding more on each contestant so more jokes and asides. I mute if live or fast forward.

I think she's good. Her jokes are always tongue in cheek!

If tennis gets in the way of the final I will be livid

I've just been reminded that Man Yee is a pensions actuary, probably the least glamorous and telly friendly job of all time, but also mine, so Go Man Yee!

Very excited to see them having a pop at the Amorphous. I remember it from Crocodile Dundee.
